Oo, they introduced Kanna and I find her chemistry with Ikta to be cute.

Yatori didn't waste much time to kick some ass this episode. Too bad about the mountain princess, she didn't get along with her. I liked the buildup this episode, The Holy War should be interesting.

Things are heating up and it seems there are some dark secrets at the base.
I wonder how this will be solved and it seems Iktar's friend or better said Ikkun-dono's friend has a death flag but i hope that isn't the case i like her.
But guess we have to wait and see.

Man Kanna's chemistry with Ikta is top tier, only female character that's better than her is Yatori.

Shit's going down, hopefully the upcoming battles show the grittyness of what's to come. Don't fail more than you already have Madhouse.

Very interesting episode.

Those poor spirits were locked up. :(

I really like Kanna and it seems Ikta likes her a lot as well because she seems to be questioning the supposedly unquestionable faith of the Empire and it's Alderamin religion. She did give quite a bit of insight into the kingdom and the worship of the spirits the soldiers seem to have, While the empire regards them as messengers of God. The Sinack's do not view them as such. Must be nice for Ikta to see someone who wants to pursue a path of logic.

And so war was declared, This Holy War should prove interesting. Wonder who the person pulling the strings is. As Ikta puts it, For people who do not believe in a supreme deity the term 'Holy' simply does not fit. For the Sinack to call this a 'Holy War' there must definitely be a deeper reasoning behind it.

The last scene with Kanna saying that there was no science to be found in war was sad. :(

The next episode should be quite bloody now that this war has officially kicked off. I have a bad feeling that Kanna is going to die though.....
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

I have a bad feeling about Kanna too. I hope not. She's cute and likable.

It was sweet seeing Camille give Ikta a princess lap, but destroyed the mood by saying it her legs need more 'meat'. You are a lucky bastard.

That bastard general needs to die for causing this mess.

I kinda want the Sinack to win. The Empire is a nasty totalitarian state. But I suppose Ikta will do something to save them at the end.

"Someone's been giving them ready-made excuses for war" I wonder who that is...a mole in the military, defecter, or someone of high importance, a character already introduced? At any rate, someone is pulling the strings behind the scenes.

That sounds like a death flag. Or I'm just being pessimistic. Then again, they are soldiers fighting a war, so anything can happen.

This episode was better than the previous one. Good pacing and introduction to the Holy War.

And this is what happen when one ethnicity overlaps the other. The Shinnark suffers with discrimination and wants to do something about, but the balance of forces is too large..

So there was some stuff about religion here. The people living in the Empire believe in those 4 spirits but they don't all believe in the god called Alderamin. I'm not sure what this will have to do with anything later on.

Safida has some grudge or something against the Sinacks which is why he's going so far as to simply oppress them. What the Sinack leader said indicates that they're being oppressed by the Empire for seemingly no reason. But then we have the suspicions Ikta has that someone is giving them reasons to attack and someone's behind the Holy War, which they would never start normally. What does the Emperor have in mind? Or is this the doing of someone else with authority under him? First they lost their eastern land to their neighbors and now they're attacking the northern Sinacks with weird tactics after provoking them. And there is someone ordering Safida from behind because his actions might end of up giving a result similar to the battle in the east.

Kanna was cute again and it looks like she's in a tight spot in the midst of a battle the empire isn't winning. I hope she doesn't die.

So the Holy War starts and next episode will more than likely be a bloody one considering it's war and all. I can see the Sinack be easily defeated considering they are don't seem to have any heavy artillery.

I like Kanna and she seems pretty smart. Another reason why I like her is her hair. For whatever reason, I'm attracted to girls with purple-ish hair. The death flags are all over the place for her so I'm sure she may be killed in this war.

Another great episode that slowly built up to the Holy War. The next episode should be intense. As always, Yatori is a complete bad ass. In the face of multiple enemies that just killed her superior, she wasted no time in killing one and chased after the killers. Gather some soldiers, chase after them, avoid the ambush and stare down a large army without fear and calmly speak to it's Chieftain. I'm pretty sure Yatori is going to go Battousai on a lot of Sinacks.

Hahashiku are the spirits you see throughout the show :p. It's just the way the sinak tribe calls them.

they're going to show it at the 13th episode most probably, so no. T'was the manga reader btw. As a LN reader, the "event" i want to see isn't that one anyway, but one at the beginning of the third volume, so a few episode later.

Ep. 7

The excellence continues. The Imperial General is a fool. He's deliberately antagonizing the local tribes in order to get them to attack, so that he can crush a rebellion. I'm betting that he believes that, after an easy victory he will earn himself promotion from the Emperor. But wars usually turn out to be different than expected by those that start them. I have the feeling that while the general did not report the rebellion (likely he wants to send word of victory at the same time) the Princess just might do it after she arrives at her destination.

Glad to see Yatori displaying tactical ability.

I'd like to see a little more of Matthew and the other chief supporting characters soon.

Nice to see Ikta not knowing everything ;-)

This show is really good. All those posters who dropped this after Ep. 3 are really missing out.

This was a pretty good episode

The knight that lost against Yatori in the last episode was quite funny as he tries to challenge everyone to a fight. But he has a surprisingly Honorable personalty.

Inori Minase's character is also shaping up to be a pretty good character. And the character of Canna is also pretty good and i like the chemistry between her and Solok. I hope she doesn't die in the battle.

The revelation that it was the people's spirits that were taken from them and not prisoners was surprsing to say the least. And with that the war would begin.

It was sad to see the major and his men get killed though as he was the only good soldier in the fort besides the knight and canna.

The mountain chieftan looks to be a interesting character and she had some conviction for the holy war.

Anyway with the war beginning the next episode should be good but i hope that Canna survives though because that was one hell of a death flag.

So this show is just an atheist propaganda? fcking disgusting.
Hope all these Sinacks die and of course the fattie in command holding the spirits captive is to make the empire seem evil when it's just one bad apple.
Maybe if they went and got some help from a good noble they would have been saved but that goes against the objective.

Well, I thought the revelation of prisoners was going to be some tortured Sinack cheiftain or something. The spirits held captive did not evoke much shock to me, but to them they might be unforgivable sins.

Major Toakk was the kind of leader that should have been the Lieutenant not that bald fattie. Yatori beheaded the rebel in an instant, and chased after the group finally meeting Daru.

Ikta proposing that someone might be behind all this and instigating rebellion. Ikta himself has seen the captive spirits whom Sinacks revere, still he refused their claim of 'Holy War'. Maybe if he told the princess what the general has done, she could have used her name to quell the rebels, maybe.

Things don't look good for Kanna, the army is destroyed by rebels using bows and swords.
