Eh that was weird. I think Ouma is trying to get used to his new lifetstyle although I find his lack of common sense to be still absurd. And he gets a bite out of some spicy curry for the first time LOL. I think he should also put some damn clothes on when around the house..

Not much action but I'm fine with it. The show could do with a breather like this especially the awkward date between Ouma and Yukina.

This was another funny episode especially the bathroom part or better said the underwear part.
Also the talk about marriage made me laugh, it's a good thing that things changed with our views towards marriage.

I fucking loved this episode. This show is hilarious (obviously in a good way). It's funny to see Ouma getting used to this modern world. The show, so far, knows damn well how to balance the funny, slice-of-life and serious elements. That ending though.

I bet (I hope at least) this will be something similar to Nagi no Asukara: first half dedicated to the characters and their interaction, slice-of-life moments, world-building and stuff, and the second half the serious stuff will take place after a big twist. That is, if this show will be a 2-cour.

I'm absolutely loving this show so far. Probably my favorite this season right now.

Kennosuke's first curry and eating utensils ever since that long "sleep". LOL
He surely need a lot to learn about the world he's currently living in. Some in funny ways too. LOL
There's just too much funny thing in the episode. But that moment Kennosuke get to know more about Yukina. It's a sudden phase from laughing become crying This episode's just too perfect.

So Yukina was branded a liar because her dad said there is demons or ogres(whatever it's gonna be translated to). Funny how Ouma is actually 18 like Yukina lol. And that moment where he put on Yukina's towel as underwear was hilarious

This is turning quite interesting.

It seems to suggest all the politicians and high ranking officers in the past were either martians (demons) or being controlled by martians, thus removing all traces of the clan from history books.

So we(they) are living in a world controlled by aliens :D

Eh, fine ep I guess...
Nothing new surfaced although they confirmed that the 'demons' are actually aliens.
Ouma is very in his own way, causing trouble while getting adjusted to the modern world.
While he may be a fine warrior, his lack of common sense is major setback for the character.

He's not referring to the people in the photos. You can see the shape of a demon lord on the left side of the image.

It's sad to see young person like Yukina to be timephobe, but im happy that Koharu is way more tolerant than her sister. I guess it makes sense, since timefobia seems to pretty common in Kurobe Research Institute. *This was written in semi-tongue-in-cheek attitude.*
Now the serious part:
That reporter was bit douchy. They totally deserved to get tackled by UN agents.

Liking this anime a lot, one of my favorites so far.

As for Ouma's common sense, I kind of feel alright. I mean 450 years. Im surprised he didn't start killing people left and right thinking he got abducted and had a magical spell cast upon him. That was the period when witch hunting was a believable thing. To add to that, the life expectancy was at around 40 and people still treated each other savagely. Also, putting all the years in a perspective, slave trade happened around 250 years ago.

Yeah it is fun. Also they are starting to give some background info. The father already knew some stuff about the demons and they'll probably reveal more soon.

Pacing is good. One of the better shows this season. Thought it would get boring once they do less fighting and more talking and him living at their home/temple. (This remindes me of one one other show which was crap compared to this: Captain Earth. They also had fighting and then sometimes only episodes where it showed them all living together doing stuff.)

Kennosuke x Yukina ship is sailing!!! The picture at the ending gave me goosebumps tho... Loved the whole episode especially the slice of life moments and the chemistry between the two lovebirds. Hope it's 2-cour if it is I'll consider this as a contender for AOTS

I hate that this show is going to be so underrated this season. It's shaping up to be sooo good. If they keep building up the plot and characters like this and throw a lot of epic fights in, it's going to be one heck of a ride.

Omg this was sometimes funnier than comedies like sakamoto.
Forgot silver spoon and modern common sense stuff are totally alien to Kennosuke.
badass curry ost
So they see the ISS (possible alien) ship. Nukes don't hurt? Then how did the lab pilots win?
Koharu so eloquent, must've learned from tv talkshows.
Rip Yukina's pig towel. White ferret on a Roomba. Man need to recover from laughing too much.
Dad backstory & mystery on the Washiba clan disappearance.

Another solid episode. Loved that it's slow unlike the first two eps. It's taking its time to develop things which I have no problem with. Last 2 eps are good, but I loved the 3rd ep better. This anime has gone from mediocre to decent. I'm glad I stuck with my 3-episode rule and didn't drop it. Too bad some people can't be this patient.

You know, episodes like this are dime a dozen. You've already seen thousands of other anime, videogames, and series that have used this cliche: character that comes from past eras has to learn to live in this era. It's really nothing new.

But goddammit, do i love it. Sometimes, i'll watch a series solely for scenes like these. I'll be sticking around this time because giant robots, of course, but i was legit hype for this back when i first saw that the loli liked samurai shows.

I guess my relationship with this cliche is the definition of a guilty pleasure; you know what's wrong with it and why it's not good, but you love it so much though

If you really want nonstop action, you're better off sticking with old timey Super Robot shows.

Or GaoGaiGar. That one's actually pretty good at taking the episodic monster of the week formula and adding actual character development to it, without any actionless episodes.

I would rather see this with a score of 8.5 tbh..
But nope, it's under the average mean score of MAL ... Lol really

Do remember that most people don't rate a show until they've finished it. It could get a pretty big positive spike once it's over.

Let's remember that this is a P.A. WORKS 2-cour anime. Which means that the first half will switch from Drama (or Mecha, in this case) to SoL like breadn and second half will get serious without SoL moments anymore

And do you know what is the Character Development?

I think you made a valid point, I was kind confused when I checked the pole and thread...I didn't hate it but it certainly didn't compare to any of the previous episodes. I don't feel the "its character development" is a valid excuse for a show to ever become boring, but here it almost felt like a genre change. All in all how much character development was there? maybe about 5 minutes of actual info? Some of which we already knew or was hinted at.

I guess you wouldn't know it from reading that ^ but I am really enjoying this show don't get me wrong hah.
