| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Lol, the snow white reference is beautiful this episode with Megumi  I thought the cooking was well done this episode. Probably the biggest challenge so far for Souma anyways in terms of food battle. Very delicious effort though and I liked the texture of the food as well as the mechanics put into making it. Foodgasm all around. Seems like Soma's father Joichiro is leaving on another journey. The little glimpse of Erina seeing him was very noticeable imo. Like it was destiny or something. |

| Another perfect example of perfecting and adaptation and then adding to it. Great episode as always. Not really surprised that they are doing the sensual kaarage arc. Actually like how the switched the order around. So now it seems pretty clear where they will leave off at. |

| What was the last scene all about? Souma gonna enter the diner the first time after he entered the school? Joichiro's dish was great, really had impact. Erina was shocked, wow, what a sight! :o |

| "Until you lose to me again, don't lose to anyone else" Souma's dad is way too badass, having 490 wins under his belt, I think we all knew that Souma didn't have a chance, but even then, he put up a great fight with that delicious looking apple risotto Junichirou really showed his experience with his dish though, I would have loved to taste that ramen, and I like how they did a throwback to the monk that we saw a few episodes ago too xD The bond between father and son was really sweet and I love how close and competitive they are with each other Absolutely brilliant episode overall....Even Erina felt the hype lol, but still I wonder what was the other reason why his dad was there as well as what's happening to their store...Maybe someone is going to try and squat it |
| I loved the episode... Too bad Erina didn't see Soumas father. I wanted to see how she would have react when she realizes that Jouichirou is Soumas father. |
| That was a great 490th battle between the father/son. Both great creative dishes.. and i love tempeh personally, so im glad to see it used!! Can't wait to see Erina's reaction when she realizes the relation btwn Jouichirou & Souma! |

| It was pretty obvious that Souma would lose, but he still put up a good match. Even Joichiro acknowledged that he has grown a bit. Now, what errand does he have to take care of at Totsuki? O.o |

| Another perfect episode and i think it was a good choice to change some order of the content and happy that they aren't skipping Kaarage arc.That Erina blushing for Souma's dad was great and can't wait for her to blush like that for Souma one day may be. |

| Really love the Prince Apple bit... Megumi wearing a Snow White gown! I am glad they are doing the Karaage Arc. More Kurase. >.< It felt like a filler in the manga, but it is still canon, since it introduces one major character that will be shown in the election. |

| If I'm understanding this correctly, some of you guys are saying they're switching the order of events next week. Is that a good or bad thing? EDIT: Also just curious, but will Erina be getting her ass kicked by Soma in a Shokugeki this season? I really want to see that since she fills me with a terrible rage every time they show her. |

| Pretty awesome cook off. Souma did an awesome job but his dad does have more experience not just cooking, but also knowing what it is people are looking for in a dish. Can't wait for next arc to begin! |

| Too bad for Souma-kun...(just kidding) but his plate was really good. Anyone has never remind to make an apple's risotto. ;) In other way his father made a ramen without any meat or fish which is very impressive! ^.^ That was really a challenge. Now Souma-kun wants to try to enter into the Elite of Ten. Next episode will see more plates from Souma and Ikumi-san. Let's see how amazing these team are going to be.... |

| Quite enjoyable, tbh I didn't expect Joichiro to lose against Souma from the beginning tho I do believe in Souma's abilities but he's just so out of his league, hopefully he will evolve even more after the challenge. |
| So glad J.C. Staff is sticking with the evolving OP and ED. They're using a different vegetable for Megumi's solo shot for the OP and I guess they're going to keep adding characters for the ED. The mini-flashback of Megumi's emotions during the camp = feels <3 Damn. What I would do to have some of that apple risotto and ramen. Though that one dish they showed of Jo in the Shokugeki looked /nasty/. Karaage arc next! Honestly, I'm not a big fan of this arc but this serves as a great break between all the cook-offs. |
