They really freaked me out this time, the black is translucent now. It is such a weird design choice that makes no sense. If you are going to give the people dialogue, shouldn't they have more than just eyes and a black shell. Not much came from this episode, but it wasn't terrible. Pretty forgettable. I also agree with cyruz that Kana was annoying in this episode. |

"Giri Choco" If we can depend on anything, we know for certain we're going to get the valentines day chocolate comedy from at least one of the seasons animes. does that make this the "Obligatory Chocolate" Episode? Poor Makoto! he really needs to get away from Kana so he can wear pants every once in a while! That apron was possibly the last, worst insult to his already injured masculinity. |

| Instead of being funny, Kana was just selfish and annoying in this episode, which is sad for me because I like liking her. =) This week in particular, didn't it strike you as a slice of life atmosphere in a comedy situation? I mean, I think they meant for this episode to be funny, but it just... wasn't. =/ (I agree that some episodes aren't meant as "comedy" but more "slice of life" -- like last week. But this one wasn't quite like that, was it?) |

| I liked it. Thought Kana's constant chocolate urges were more annoying than funny but as for the whole season, if I just look at it as another slice of life/comedy anime, it's good. If I look at it as a second season of Minami-ke, it falls pretty far from first season. And since I'm looking at it from the former perspective, the show doesn't really bother me too much. |

| haha I know, but with the different animation and such, I think of it more as a spin-off than an actual second season. Plus the synopsis said 'spin-off' for the longest time before it got changed so I just got used to it as that. |

| Haha, loved it. I don't know what's up with people hating this season. And I, for one, thought Kana was hilarious this episode. Loved the part where she decides to share her stolen chocolate with Fujioka. Anyway, I'm celebrating the return of Mako(-chan), Fujioka, and Hosaka-sempai. Probably one of the best episodes... out of both seasons. |
| Dont you think they've gone overboard with Mako this season? Its not funny anymore, just plain...mean. Plus they completely dropped him from this episode midway through without any warning. naikou, my problem with this season is the generic storylines that dont contain even half the spark and imagination of the first season and the increasingly uncharacteristic traits displayed by our lovable characters, as was evidenced by Kana and her selfishness-to-the-point-of-being-mindless exploits with chocolate. I dont like being the only guy lamenting this season, but I just have to call it like I see it and hope that more fans wont settle for less. Not that not settling for less will acheive anything concrete, but...its the principle! I'll probably finish this horrible season, I want to keep my 'dropped' list as small as possible, and one day completely empty. Empty like Okawari's heart. ;_; |

| Gone overboard with Mako-chan? There's no such thing. I giggle every time I see her... er him. :-P As for Kana... I dunno, I know someone who strongly resembles Kana, and some days she seems hilarious, other times she is extremely self-centered, so her actions didn't really seem out of character to me. I guess that's kind of an irrelevant personal view, but meh. I will agree though, that Haruka's "scary-side" that has been brought out in this season is out of place. She doesn't come off at all the same as in the original series. Last season, it took someone seriously violating her for her to get angry... seems like she's more short-fused now, for some reason. Also, I'm not a fan of the lower quality animation and character models. So yeah, overall, the first season has been better than this one, but I don't see the writing taking as big of a drop as you're suggesting. At least, I'm enjoying most of the episodes as much or more than the first season. |
| I liked this episode more than the others. Makoto/-chan was pretty win, although I don't like how Hosaka is limited to five seconds per show. And Haruka with a knife? I'm still suffering from PSSSD (post School Days stress disorder), so you can guess what I thought. |

| It seems like they are catching up to the quality of the first season. Episode 6 and 7 were seriously better than the first 5 ones, I'll raise my score to 8/10 now :) |

| this was my favorite episode since the pajama festival one. I thought it was hysterical how mako wanted to give the chocolate to himself. and i loved the fujioka bit (especially with kana hovering over him). I dunno, i just really liked this episode overall. it had its funny moments and i liked it. the black faces really bother me though |

| For the first time in a long time since watching this season I laughed. It was just really funny when Makoto was asked who he was going to give chocolate to. And then there was Uchida laughing like hell in the background xD. Oh and the chocolate trap was awesome. Especially when Chiaki came out from the back asking is the chocolate good xD. So evil ^^. Well the first season is still a lot better. |

| i love this episode, i don't find kana annoying, i like her 'receiving-instead-of-giving' attitude towards valentine's day instead. compared to the previous episode which bored me to the point of almost falling asleep in front of the computer, this is a really great improvement. |

| I kept thinking that Kana needs to die. Seriously. She is my least favorite Minami Sister and she was absolutely terrible this episode. Chiaki, however, is pure epic win! Her cynicism and sarcasm are beautiful to behold. |

| Is it bad that I'm pretty much watching this show solely for Hosaka's three second appearances? Like the second he appeared this episode I was like, "Ah. You're why I'm watching this crap." I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who wanted to beat Kana down. I'm really not understanding why Fujioka likes her. He seems normal otherwise. Is it because she's pretty...? I don't get it. |
| Chiaki's "special" chocolate made for Kana was really, really taste. That will be something I won't forget in a while. I also expected the bear made out of chocolate at the end to have something in it, since it felt like Chiaki allowed Kana to eat it. Next episode may be a fan-service fest, I don't hope so. |

| Seems like the ppl who made this season are huge Kana fans. Shes been allowed to do w.e she wants non-stop, the OP starts with her, the ED only has Kana and finally..........they gave her a boob job. I'm pretty sure that in S1, even Chiaki had more boobs than Kana. They probably didnt want to make any jokes based on Kana's flat chest i guess and decided to completely take it out of the equation lol. |

I understand that this is a slice of life show and and romance it is not what this show is trying to display but season one have more than 2 cute moments with some of the character and if one episode was going to show a tinny itsy bit of this I think it was the Valentine day episode, but I was wrong… I never knew that a person can c*ckblock himself but Makoto by not being a man and stand for himself c*ckblock himself. I understand that that in itself is the joke but come on in freaking valentine day and if you aren’t going to stand for yourself in this day who is gonna do it… My main man Fujioka… How many chocolates did he receive? 10 plus and I'm not counting the one Kana avert because of the watch she was doing including the one that Riko was going to give him. The dumbass even returned the ones that he receives for what?!
