Jesus, that Mask guy and his troops just won't give up huh? This is their most serious fight yet and I almost thought Aida might of been a goner.

Anyways, it was an intense episode although I think the Mask guy is trying a bit too hard.

Answers about "the past":

In G-Reco apparently Earth and space have been finally separated. They have only one connection and this is the legacy of SU-Cordism and its tool - the Capital Territory, which role is to supply the earthnoids with photon batteries, such that the planet heals and regenerates eventually. Phew, writing this drained the life of me *head spinning*.

SO, Mom and Bellri could return to the Capital afterall. Apparently, the Capital army would shoot them on the spot if they tried to return via space or air, so Wilmit contacted the Capital Guard and smuggled Ameria's ship and crew into the ground part of the Capital Tower, the Biclover, behind the back of the newly formed Capital Army.
Judging from the preview, the Capital Army is about to take the whole party hostage. Maybe Wilmit and Surugan have foreseen the treachery and asked the Capital Guard to at least secure the escape of the kids and the suits into the Megafauna. I wonder where the third backpack will come from. Above?

The episode was a pleasant watch. Actually, I find how they talk and react to each other, hilarious.

Aida is the best girl.
Pace is fast,as always,but I got used to it and even though it seems bizarre at some moments,I enjoy show quite a lot.
And I also love the art direction.

Your pretty much spot on with the histoy there, though I think Char had no intention of allowing Earth to be repopulated after dropping Axis onto it, it was always about forcing mankind of the planet and leaving it to nature (kind of reinforces my theory that after Zeta and ZZ Char had given up on humanity, at least as it was then, and decided to force things his way.

I think with the empty platitudes of the pope dude and Crumpa's arrival Wilmit and Surugan have just worked out they're about to be double crossed, as have the Capitol Guard which are sneaking Aidia, Bellri and co out just before the shit hits the fan.

The really interesting bit in this episode was Crumpa's phone call, it really does suggest that he's actually a Spacenoid and not born on Earth. Could this mean that SU-Cordism, Capital Tower/Army and the Lunarians/Spacenoids are all working together against the rest of Earth?

Back to G-Reco, I'd like to note that the Earth's survival was discussed during a fierce fight b/w Amuro and Char, while they were bickering pretty inconsistently about the women in their lives. :D So, please watch whatever you'd like from the UC - it worths every syllable they spit there.

I think with the empty platitudes of the pope dude and Crumpa's arrival Wilmit and Surugan have just worked out they're about to be double crossed, as have the Capitol Guard which are sneaking Aidia, Bellri and co out just before the shit hits the fan.

Oh, nasty. But you could be right - it did go too well and smooth with the Capital Guard. Yoh was Dellensen's right hand to boot and the benevolent disposition to Wilmit actually raises the suspicion if they rather not gladly piss on her head in case the pope says so.

I don't know. The five spaceships Ameria has in orbit barely could pose substantial threat to the guys above. Hell, just cutting the supplement with photon batteries would do.
In this episode, however, Surugan said that the teachings of SU-Cordism didn't designate the Tower as the link b/w earth and space. It could mean that the Tower either cannot be considered a true representative of the SU-Cordism, or it should not consider itself the only link "allowed" (let's not forget Towasanaga), or that its exclusive position is a hoax, which earthians had no other choice but to follow.

If the Tower indeed double crosses the OD and Ameria's IG, this could mean that the Tower has been on some own agenda - imagine utilizing the elevators, the earth resources, and the lost scriptures in order to get rid off the SU-Cordisists (or whoever the Tower's higher ups might be) and enslave the whole Earth. The Tower would become a number one power in the Earth-space orbit in no time. :L

Although I'd agree with you, we already know that the spacenoids are up to something after the previous episode. Why else would they build the G-Self?

The story is finally starting to click with more pieces of the puzzle falling into place. I still get the feeling that Aida and Bell might be related in some way too.

Now if characters only started reacting more 'normally' to things around them we might have a good series here. Some of the stuff they do is hilarious though.

Fuck this Gundam Series, This Anime is 100 times deeper than Evangelion, and i can't understand anything even with subtitles, it's so fucking random , the Art was really good but the fucking story line was a complete Trash , im expecting a story line like turn A gundam , but this one is a Shit, and Every Episode it release its getting more Shittier.

100 times deeper than eva -- so he cant understand it-- thus the story is complete trash? wtf man people like you shouldnt even be watching anime. Just enjoy the ride. Just because its not like Turn A doesnt mean its shit. grow up.

Also this show has progressively gotten better and better with every ep, I didnt really like it first 2 - 3 eps now its absolutely amazing. Turn your brain on man, not every show has to force feed you the information like naruto and explain every little detail 1000 times and replay flashbacks even more so you can comprehend. use your brain.

I didnt reall understand G Reco at first, but now ive come to love it , this is prob my fav show this season now. awesome action, and masks over the top reactions are always hilarious.

this latest episode was just amazing. love the religious symbolism, the talk of a culture too focused on work was obviously a jab at modern japan, man.. this show just gets better and better.

Does anyone know? Is this show 26 eps or is it going to be a longer running series like other gundams? it'd be sweet to get close to 50 eps, although in todays anime market this is highly unlikely i guess..

agree on just enjoying. At first all the terms they were throwing around were kind of confusing, but now everything falling into place.

most GOOD stories unfold somewhat slowly and reveal the information you need to know at key moments. you dont have to understand EVERYTHING in first couple eps.

It will be explained.

The whole show is actually about modern Japanese politics. The Capital Guard is analogous to the JSDF, and the Capital Army is Tomino's caricature of what Japan could become if it was more militant.

Takes nearly half the show to start making sense with little to no reason for hiding any plot details, holy shit this really is captain earth all over again. 2 pretentious mecha with pretty art and godawful writing, guess thats all that ever please people anymore. How exactly were plot details hidden, rather than revealed in due time? For example, take the revelation of the identity of Kuntala. agree completely. the art IS amazing ill give him that but the plot is not that bad, I think its quite good now.

You are right, what do these people expect for everything to be explained and shoved down their throats in the first ep? why cant people just relax and enjoy the ride as it comes?

I think the way they handled it was perfect now. They drop all the terms so you get used to them and wonder what they mean, then they explain them later on.. dont see why that bothers people so much.

even with captain earth, I didnt think it was that bad. I was kind of like everyone else first 6 eps I thought it was meh as hell but since it was bones I went back and gave it another try and it got alot better. Obviously not best mecha ever but it def turned into a decent show, altho G-Reco is much better so far.

Most people dropped captain earth like 3 eps in then act like they have the right to say whole show sucks? alot of ppl doing same with G-Reco... you dont even give the show a chance to be good.

Also dont see whats wrong with a dream episode. Not every episode has to advance the plot as much as others and not every ep has to have action. Sometimes a break from the action/plot can advance the characterization, relationships etc.. dreams can be used to explore peoples pasts, feelings, fears, etc....

I dont even understand what people are bitching bout sometimes.

this show is targeted to the children audience ( atleast the director said so) and fails at that..

only die-hard Tomino fans will say that this show is great.. and surprisingly, most die-hard Tomino fans are children yes?

IMHO, Age is better than this in targeting children audience..

first - i am not a child and i am not a die hard tomino fan. this is first tomino show ive really watched and enjoyed ( after watching this show and unicorn i decided to go back and watch original and all UC Gundam) and i absolutely love this show it is my fav show this season I think its political , societal commentary is great and the characters and plot are getting fleshed out awesomely and the animation is beautiful and music is pretty good.

how is this show for kids? if this show is for kids, you can literally argue that ALL anime is for kids.

most kids wouldnt understand anything going on in this show except when the battles are happening, even then it would just be pretty colors. this show does not appeal to kids at all.

Of course, even this time, deign to tell something unsuspecting spectator of what you speak, we add the usual characters that appear and disappear.
Finally there is the twist without information received in time to understand the reason for all this.
But, I must admit, I like this kind of SOL in wartime type mecha, I had not yet happened to see an anime with a similar setup.
Well, not really!
The design and animations are not the greatest, but they look without problems.
The colors are one of the things that I like.

I don't know what god of entertainment I angered for things to be this fucking bad in this particular medium and for what little joy I can possibly get out of this medium to be an almighty struggle thanks to the godawful mean-spirited fan base seemingly having it in for everything I even remotely enjoy but it sucks. Like it really truly sucks and having said that I know the only damn anybody is going to give is how they can use that information to try to troll and laugh at me. It's the worst lol, it really is.

People are really dumb. Everywhere I go, I just see dumb people. Just the other day, in my Advanced Web Development course we were talking about Javascript queries, and some blond bitch next to me thought we were talking about rock quarries.

I just don't understand how the average person is so dumb. How is this show hard to follow at all?

Good episode, but man the art can be jarring and inconsistent at times. Like Aida looks like she lost her eyes or something.

Mask guy fight was kinda random. I don't know why Mask keeps saying Barara out of nowhere, but i guess that's the name of the girl that saved her.

So Capital Army and the other guys aren't well together, even though their in the same region?

And wtf, Aida and his father managed to get in the capital base, yet they get arrested for some reason!?!

Lots of references from the UC series. I only need ZZ Gundam and i'll be able to watch Char's Counter attack.

Either way can't wait for the next episodes!!!

now the part where it "sucks" or not is totally subjective.. and its hard to gauge that objectively.. hence i said it sucks when it does not appeals to its target audience..

Aida is a terrible pilot. I don't remember there being anyone in Gundam before who is striaght up bad at piloting giant robots, and do the kind of fuckups she does. Usually in this kind of series everyone knows how to pilot perfectly. I do hope she improves over time.

The Megafauna's helmswoman is pretty funny with her Engirsh. Goes to the hall of memorable random minor characters of Gundam.

RIP Montero... I guess the autopilot systems they have can't make up for the lack of a human pilot. And the Recsnow is pretty cool, getting rid of the big shoulders and having a less flat torso really did wonders for the Recten design. Also it reminds me a bit of the Gundam Ground Types of 08th MS Team, who are among my favorite designs.

That Barara girl is pretty cute. G-Reco girls in general are cute.
And Mask really is losing his badass credentials rolling around like that. Poor guy.

The hero of ZZ Gundam has absolutely no sense of piloting during the first episodes.

And I don't remember Fa being as bad as Aida,. The narrative does highlight she's bad but I don't remember seeing her fuck up as much or as badly. However it's been a couple of years since I last watched Zeta, maybe just the memories of later more competent Fa stuck with me.

Going back to school, I turned my Tomino series into "summer/holiday projects". Sadly, it's been a full year since without going back to home for the holidays. So, no TV, and no PC where the full BD-rip is waiting for me. (I have put my episodes on OK but never had the courage to watch this pretty show on my 3DS. I even have the first film that was shown in Paris a few years ago xD)

Gusion mentioned Angel Falls during the flight (he was wrong, but still), so they should be around Venezuela geographically, I guess. Izanel is the "southern continent", that is, South America (Ameria).

UPD: apparently Izanel is G-Reco's Africa, after all - according to one of the booklets.

Regarding Aida and Bellri: both of them activating Rayhunton codes wasn't for nothing either
