So we got new models introduced in this show. Army divisions had no chance...

Well in wars, enemies have to gather intelligence and clearly the army divisions failed. Oh well, maybe they will learn in the future if it's not too late as it is.

To be honest I had hard time trying to keep up with whats happening in this show.
Too many characters and because of realistic ascetic they all look the same.
At least tech looks nice.

Things seem to be ramping up now. While we still don't get much character development for our lead Yushiro, we do learn a little bit more about him. Although a civilian, Yushiro voluntarily agrees to deployment in Belgistan which just so happens to have their own mechs which wipe out an entire US tank regiment at the end of this episode. Yushiro tells his sister that he likely wont see combat, but I don't think he actually believed that. The vibe I'm getting from Yushiro is that of someone without agency. He feels like a cog in the Gowa family's machine and does just about anything his family tells him to. The first episode psychic link with Misuzu seems to have resulted in his only act of free will we've seen so far.

Some interesting developments here as well. Yushiro's older brothers arranged a hit on a politician standing in their way and then successfully petition the prime minister to greenlight using the TAs in Belgistan behind the back of the UN Security Council. We also discover the other corporation Symbol has the Belgistanian leader in their pocket. I'm assuming because of this that the weapons of mass destruction the UN and US forces were concerned with in Belgistan are those mechs provided by Symbol.

The Gowa family and Symbol appear to be in an arms race with one another and are using their collective power and influence over various governments to change the nature of warfare in favor of their weapons. At least, that seems to be the game plan so far. Both also are attempting to tap into the "Mile One" technology which acts as some sort of artificial muscle for the mechs and I think relates to whatever Yoshiro was summoning in his episode 1 dance, and how Misuzu was able to psychically battle and communicate with him.

So this fictional country seems to be somewhere around Aral sea (like Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan)? That Colonel had a Russian surname...interesting. I like the geopolitical details, and the mecha action is extremely well-drawn.

They disposed of the Minister of Justice quick. I'm thankful for that, since it means more unimpeded mecha (or TA) action. The TAs are blisteringly fast, and made quick work of the American tank battalion, but it seems like they're not just fighting Belgistan after all.

It is clear that the protagonist wants to participate in the operation to meet the power bearer who made contact with him. The political game is interesting, why does Japan want to intervene? To take international credit? At the same time, the war seems like an excuse to develop research or weapons and/or power and that the leader of the country is a puppet of those who really control the power. Indeed, bipedal power (which perhaps is just one of the manifestations of royal power) is known only to Belgistan and/or the Gowa family. Which is interesting, because the United States didn't even know about it. (The implications of this, go far beyond, assuming that we live in a capitalist world which economic globalization makes corporations with tons of power, in comparison to countries).

flylikegoldblum ANALYSYS proves to be, again, completely good. While i didnt even think of the internal mechanics of the power he/she already provided and explanation. Howewer, though the Miles One, or the DNA structure is the key of the new weapon, i think that what they tried to summon is something greater, probably based on the Miles One. I agree on the free will of the main characther, but the fact he didnt tell anyone bout the "external intromission" and the Terror is something to consider. Also, the "loyalty" of their soldiers.
Fly also identified the power behind the shadows i was refering to, the Symbol company.

Next Episodes will be truly interesting, as we will see the MECHA fight each other and the consecuences at an international level. Also for the main characther. Also important to distinguis between the person who killed all the US tanks and the person that is being held captive on the Symbol company. I guess the 1st i a soldier and the 2nd, the one that allowed the 1st to use that MECHA. If thats right, we could assume every soldier can FIGHT in the MECHA, and not only the main character or the Gowa Family. So in this case, maybe the Miles One allows the Heart and other fisical conditions to reach that limits a human body would not resist.
