Good training of gun shooting/exercise/mental preparations as standard like I read in army magazines. Mature lady Claudia teases Zwei anyone know why he have reaction to her hand? Ein kills. Good episode and like it so far.
The mature lady

Some Ein killing. All think guns well done? Have more info and found this (I think is 100% match): http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/custom_shop/40-x/model_40-XS_tactical_rifle_system.asp

It wasn't as intriguing as the first episode and quite a sudden change of pace. Not a great episode to watch Raw when there's this much dialog. Hiroshi Morioka did a good job with his direction and storyboarding even with all the bizarre angles and camera motions used.

The music is just as awesome as it was in episode one especially in the training sequences.

Yeah, training montage! The indoctrination into Inferno has begun.

Nice episode -- a change of pace, but still nice (and, of course, essential to any burgeoning assassin's story). Now let's get the story moving and make some fantastic kills. <3

The plot didn't even moved, well at least we have information about what 'Inferno' is now, You can think of it as a terrorism organization, the most powerfull one among the mafias and gangs that use as weapons such assasins as is Phantom/Ein.

So a bit of Zwein has been revealed, the blue haired guy in the bath didn't knew that Zwei is alive since he asked for the dead bodies and the big titted woman told him that he was dead. Seems that he was a reporter, obviusly he witnessed an assasination and "Scythe Master" (Whatever the fuck name... is so ridiculous) saw his potential, therefore instead of killing him he took him to train as an assasin.

I tought Ein was going to rape Zwein almost in the end of episode. Seems that in the next one we r going to have some Tititouch lolol (prewiew).

The opening somewhat reminds me of James Bond lol, dunno why. Phantom still haven't catched my eye, i hope it doesn't get more predictable than it already is. But i must admit that this episode was interesting, the next one seems like the story is actually going to move.

I wonder what will happen if Dr Scythe rebels against inferno? He is only to make phantom assassins.....yes?

My prediction is that Ein and Zwein will realize later that they don't wanna kill people anymore and in order to do that they must stop Inferno from whatever they are doing. So they form an empire along with Yagami Light and use the time machine to go back in time and steal the hiroshima nuke bomb and use it against them to explode the shit out.

No... seriuly talking i don't wanna conclude anything yet since Phantom has good potential.

I think inferno must be killed for Ein and Zwei to be free. That yes.

Free? By that time they'll have killed way too many people to be allowed "freedom". That is an ending I don't want to see.
Both of them dieing (or at least one of them - Ein) is a much more plausible scenario.

I think an episode like this was necessary, to show that he spent such a long time training and also to convey his thoughts, how his attitude changed to working so hard so that he doesn't have the time to think too much. And going through the steps of learning how to shoot a gun, he's never even held one before let alone killing someone.

a great episode imo

It may have been a slower pace from the first episode but I think it was still great. Yes it was filled with a lot of dialog but to me this episode gives the feel of a epic assassin flick rather than a balls out shoot em' up.

We have been given insight into what "inferno" is. The further development of Ein and Zwei as the puppets of an assassin "breeding" program was dark and quite well played out in this episode. Can't wait till the next episode.

Haha. Moral high ground, much?

Also, gaining "freedom" does not have to be independent of death (and often isn't in stories dealing with assassins).

Judging from the atmosphere of the story so far (and episode 3's preview) Ein and Zwei will become emotionally attached since they will become supporters of each other in their future combined missions that we get a hint of in episode 1.

It may be too early to say, but this "Freedom" that has been spoken about can come in two forms,

A radical uprising against Inferno

-or-

A tragic ending in which both commit suicide together

This slow, methodical pace really isn't bad. This episode kinda reminds me of the early episodes of Black Lagoon in how Rock was just learning the ropes and still wasn't really adjusted to a life outside the law, and find himself preaching to his "instructor" (Revy, on the Nazi sub on BL, Ein late at night here). But both those women have been indoctorined into the life so much they don't really believe in anything outside of it.

Revy never really saw things any different by the end of the series in BL (in the anime, I haven't read the manga), I wonder if Ein will, though.

I really like this series. The premise really intrigued me and it still does. I always liked assassin stuff and felt this episode was necessary. It's needed to give you an idea of where Zwei is at mentally and what his life is like now.

I felt the imagery at the end was a bit cliche (the two gun casings coming together clearly represent Ein and Zwei and how they're going to come together), but it still made me smile.

Can love happen between Zwei and Ein?

lol, I thought I was the only one laughing at "you are not slaves" part. It was an ok eps for me. It was ok till Claudia showed up and said that stuff about Zwei. For some reason I thought it was kinda said what inferno was in the first eps, wasn't it? I just hope Zwei doesn't become one of those mindless assassins, and then suddenly after killing some guy he does a 180. It would be cool if he come up with his own personal vendetta against inferno right from beginning then later on in the series. As for Ein character design is 10/10 but personality is predictable. That being said I like her anyway solely on design lol.

I'm definitely going to keep watching this show but I'm not all that impressed. I still feel next to no empathy for these characters. I assume that they'll eventually start showing some emotion which will make them more interesting but in the mean time they are boring. I understand Ein being an emotionless rock but Zwei? So quickly? To me, the most important aspect of any story are the characters, at the moment these characters are flat, though I still have hope that they will gain some depth before too long.

I agree with most of you about not much going on int his episode. If the director couldn't move in with the story, how about we know more about the characters in the anime? It wasn't as good as the first episode indeed but I'll keep watching.

I liked the episode, but I don't like where this show is going.
Seems so cliché.

Guy gets into assassination organization, he kills A LOT of people, gets in love with his "teacher", and than one out of 2 possible scenarios:

1. They destroy inferno because they realize they were doing the wrong thing all along.
2. They destroy inferno because they realize they were doing the wrong thing all along, and after that they both die tragic and romantic death.

I REALLY want to see something more from this show, because it has potential, but seriously, it just doesn't feel like it's going to be any different from every other show with this kind of plot.

So far, I like it.
The plot seems good, the animation is well done, I absolutely LOVE the music, and the characters are pretty good too. Ein is my favorite type of female character.

However, I feel it should move a bit faster. I hope the third episode explains some things.
