Everyone's going nuts.

This is a pretty crazy case. I don't really get why Aoki would start seeing ghosts now.

The guy who 'hypnotized' all the victims doesn't necessarily have to be that serial killer if the hypnosis is already taking effect during that 'healing'. Eh, I might be wrong. Let's see what part II brings; we're not even half way through the series yet.

I liked this episode.

I think Aoki's starting to see ghosts the same way that people often have nightmares/paranoia after seeing a scary movie. It's believable enough for me. I'm glad we finally get the backstory for the chief...though, I feel like they were more than just friends, I suppose that doesn't matter. I think the show will be about Maki coming to terms with what he has done and either moving on or dying. I think Aoki will definitely be of help here, and it's because of that, I'm inclined to think that this was the serial killer, and not a hallucination.

Since I couldn't stand the long break before this episode got subbed, I already peeked into the manga.
Apparently, the arc that is starting now, was the very first case Aoki had in section 9 there, that would explain why he reacts that sensetive to the hallunciatoins of the victims.

I like it though that the anime first introduced the characters before jumping into their dark backgrounds.

Btw is there ANYTHING that Maki can do without looking *fangirlheartattack*-causing?

Him fainting or even just standing on the roof and being all in thoughts, this guy is just too hot! *_*d

I don't remember there being any notification that this was a flashback episode...hmm, that totally changes my opinion of how Aoki and Maki were acting. I thought it was really strange. Thanks canis for that clarification!

That was totally unexpected. I was sure the healing guy was the bullied kid's father or some other relative trying to take revenge, but apparently it's the dead killer. I can't wait to see what they'll pull off to explain that. Also it was nice to have some background on Maki.

And yeah, Aoki's behavior makes a lot more sense now, I thought it was really weird that he would be so disturbed by those images, considering he had already saw things a lot worse.

It is not rare that the anime changes the order of things happened in the manga, but since Aoki's fear of the shadows was needed (for Maki to want him to leave section 9) for this arc they couldn't just take it out.

It really does feel a bit like being thrown back to the start of the anime, where Maki always doubts Aoki to be fit for the job.

But anyway, let's just enjoy this arc. Finally Maki gets the spotlight he deserves. ^.^

I just remembered that they mention Aoki cutting off the dead guy's head, so did they change the order for the anime? Or what? Now I'm getting confused.

Yes, that remark was just in the anime. ^^

I didn't read the manga really, I just looked through it a bit. All I can say is that they changed the order of some things.
I better don't say any more, before I accidentely let a spoiler slip out. ;)

All I can say is that I'm SOOO glad that I didn't drop that show because of it's slow start! ^^

Aoki is so cute he'll do a find uke.

So Maki destroyed his friend brain so no one can view it, I think this is rather suspicious.

Maki passing out, and Aoki screaming his name like he died; WTF!!! O.O

Ahh that totally makes sense. I was wondering why Aoki was acting like it was his first case when he has already witnessed more disturbing cases.

Oh this is getting interesting.
Seems Maki is is a victim of his own sections words, "look at what's beneath"

Kinda weird how Maki was already ready to let Aoki go after being through so many cases.

All these people that they're seeing in the memories could be fake, including Kainuma.
As they explained how the bully victim was just a hallucination aswell.

Good episode, ghosts are killing those guys, they deserve it.
Maybe Kainuma is alive after all, who knows.

So Maki finally gets back story? This should be interesting.
