So far a lot of people recognize or just feel something strange from Maetel. Now that shapeless thing also sad something to his children about her. I wonder what is the secret she holds and who is she exactly?

sugoi!!! naked maetel was very nice... interesting point - would you choose to die at that perfect point in yr. life if you could? joy is so fleeting, and yet, most of us humans keep going for some reason...to see what happens next?

No, that was not interesting. The authour should have given some arguments to legitimate even asking such a stupid question.

I wonder who is Maetel.

There was quite a bit of naked Maetel in the episode. Maybe that was fan service like when we saw her in bikinis early in the series. Yet it doesn't exactly feel like it because nowadays, aside from the obligatory onsen and beach episodes, it is more about suggestive poses. So even if this was fan service the 70s style, it seems more natural because it's not done in a sexualized way.

Me too... There is definitely more to her than a simple human, as was shown in episode with the great thief Antares

Quite an interesting planet and episode if you ask me, especially the part about Maetel! As well that I didn't expect they would include that suicide like that...

That said though it was rather interesting put in picture, but well I do wonder what planet they're heading to next!

Hmm. This show feels like it's trying to convey some kind of lesson, but is unclear about what's it actually trying to say.

But wasn't there? The argument was that it'd be worse for them to live knowing their love would fade, as they'd get older and their beauty would be lost. But eh, beauty can be found in older ages, too... Oh well. And dude, don't simply dismiss the question as being 'stupid' when you don't understand it in the first place. What else? Yeah, there are other forms of beauty, uh. Those are just not as apparent as appearance, obviously. The couple was young, and mustn't have been too intelligent to realize...that there was more else to love.

Gosh, my grammar was horrible back then. Unbelievable.

Either way, well said.

So are those beings immortal? Otherwise they would lose their shape eventually too, wouldn't they?

Having no shape also means not being able to enjoy your unique features. Fleeting beauty makes it so precious and even beyond that there's still happiness that can be found. You keep developing as a human and pursue new things.

Nuruba is such an interesting place. In it, eternal life is emphasized, while the very desire of two children is that they are human, having a body ...

However, the major role is left to Maetel, who seems to have a hidden secret.

Those blob-like creatures were interesting. It's a shame that young couple threw their lives away there just to not have to age. Some people are foolish, unfortunately.

Just what secret is Maetel hiding?

@Damolisher I do, because once I've decided to watch a show, I keep watching until I've finished it, regardless of how trash it is. You wouldn't understand something like that, since I bet your attention and interests are easily swayed like a fart in the wind.
