| Kaata (I think that's his name) is totally Yagami Taichi, just with the spikes going up rather than horizontal. Who do they think they're fooling? So I had thought the blond dude was American because blond hair, blue eyes? That's the typical American coding. The horse should have went the lightbulb off, but all I thought was "he's not American is he? can't be?" until I saw his estate and the massive size of it and instantly thought "England!" Man, they went hard on giving him all the stereotypical England nobility: the crest of the plane, the horse (even it being white!), the land even with a freaking hedge maze, the team name being Excalibur lmao. ....Then they add all the Roman imagery with him being called Julius Caesar... Does the Romans have a connection to England/UK? My history knowledge is crap so I'm a bit perplexed. Anyway, for what reason did the gang go to the Egypt (I'm assuming it's Egypt since that's the only part in the Middle East that matters)? They mentioned something about A Block but what difference did it make having them see it in person rather than on TV other than to: 1) pretty much guarantee to the audience that Desert Sands will lose (if the team is friendly to Gan Gan Galaxy then you know they're going to lose) 2) have that enemy foreshadowing and the enemy see them watch them? Even so, I did like how they took care to make sure the audience had some tint of tanned skin with the Desert Sands being darker because they train in the desert. Too bad they didn't have the gang on camels because I'm sure they didn't make across the desert on foot! Russia is next and they... look NOTHING like Russians. They look like they belong in a mecha anime. |
