Well where do I start?

....as for Kenshi running away from his harem at the end.....so very clichéd but that's what I love about this anime.....just never gets old for me

Judging by the final quotes in the episode, it's only just begun. Though don't expect a second season for a while.

Well considering there have been too many things left open for a second season plus the considering the main focus of Kenshi looking for a way home hasn't even be covered, I can only happily anticipate and wait...

If you are really desperate to see it instead of waiting for Hakubi fan subs to finish then you can go to nyaatorrents.org to download the subs and one of the raws and use VLC to play it. Just look for "Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari - 13_eng-Sub" which is a 12.5 KiB zip file. There okay subs, not the best, doesn't look like American English but it is understandable.

I got tired of waiting on fansubs for this episode so I watched it quite awhile back. I can understand the majority of what went on at least, but yeah, I'm quite curious whats to come next.. I mean he's still trapped in that world basically right?
Even though it'll probably be a long way away, (if at all), I look forward to the continuation of this for sure!

ANYWAYS i am glad with the BIG harem ending cause i think all the girls deserve a piece of him BUT... i also believe that i would want was a Kenshi x Doll/Mexiah OR Kenshi x Yukine (Yukine because she was so cute...the way she is so shy and fuwa fuwa xD)

Hakubi released it earlier in 720p, and I just got done watching it.

To be honest, I am disappointed with how this ended. Granted, the ending was good, but there are a ton of questions left an unanswered. My main reason for watching the show was to find out why and how Kenshi got to this world.

Now, I know they tried to throw in to the plot some sort of reasoning as to why he is there, but that just went way off the plot.

Kenshi is Tenshi's brother. Given that, and what he has mentioned about his Onee-chan's, its logical to think that if he went missing for any amount of time, everyone of his family members would be searching for it.

Not endiing the series with Washu finding him, as well as the Tenchi's gang coming to see him doesn't make logical sense to me. Granted, that happening, and then Kenshi deciding to stay would have been a bit typical of this time of show, but it would have made more sense.

The ending was good, but by far not as good as it could have been. Kenshi's Juraiian forhead crest showing up was one of the moments I did like about this episode.

The ending implys they will do more, perhaps a second season. I can only hope that this happens so that they make an ending that makes sense.

Realistically, Washu creating some sort of device for him to travel between worlds would also make sense, as well.

I can also understand why they didn't do this, either. Kenshi being grown up means Tenchi and everyone else would have aged, and Tenchi may have made a choice as to who he loves (although from what Kenshi mentioned, this seems unlikely), and perhaps they were unwilling to show such a thing. This would have also meant showing Sasami in her early adult years, which would have been interesting (even though shes supposed to resemble Tsunami, I have a feeling they might just change that a little bit).

I've been a fan of Tenchi stuff for a long time, and even though this is a spinoff, it is still very good. Maybe my own disappointment in it won't be shared by anyone else.

hmm my first post apparently didn't show up :(.

Anyway the ending was a letdown. I was hopping for a better fight. I also wanted to see them tie in the original Tenchi series a bit more but I'm guessing they'll do that in the next season. I was happy with the mecha redesigns though. Not sure if anyone noticed that but some of the key characters got makeovers for their suits.

"Also....as much as I wanted Dagmyer to suffer or at least be humiliated more.....I guess he got his comeuppance although not sure what it mean at the end when he found his dad's core crystal(hopefully hinting a second season OVA x fingers crossed)"

@obliviouz - this is only a guess but I think the crystal merged with Dagmyer thus reviving Babalun and possibly putting Dagmyer in a situation similar to ulyte/reia. I suspect Dagmyer will play a roll as one of the Enemy's in the second season (assuming they have one). I cant see him being the main enemy though.

@Kaioh - Kenshi cant be Tenchi's brother. At least not in the conventional sense. Kenshi clearly used a single light hawk wing as a sword. He also had a Juraian head thing show up. Tenchi's father (an earthling) remarried another earthling. Since Kenshi is young that would rule out the possibility of him being a "secret brother" that we never knew about from Tenchi's mom. So basicly that means Kenshi should not have any Juraian blood in him. With that said Kenshi could be a clone of Tenchi. They did mention that Kenshi, Doll, and a few others where made. I wouldn't be surprised if Washu was the one that made them all and then took Kenshi with her back to earth to modify and experiment more on just for fun. It should be interesting to find out in the next season.

actually if you go by the family tree(from the novels and not the spin-offs) you'll find that Tenchi's dad is actually Jurian, which make Kenshi half-Jurian:

I really enjoyed tis series and would be hqppy to see a sequal. The fight scenes were good, I thought the artwork was great and I liked many of the characters. Chiaia Fran, Yukine Mare and Lapis Lars are my favorite female characters in the series I think. (there are soooo many to choose from)

On a side note the way the Seikijin look and sound when they roar reminds me a Lot of the EVAs from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Ah I never noticed that in the chart. I guess he could be Tenchi's brother then. I still have doubts though since they've mentioned that he was created along with Doll.

PS. That would not make Kenshi Half Jurian. Half is when your parent is full something (ie. Jurian) and your other parent is something else. In the chart Kenshi wouldn't even be a quarter Jurian assuming one of Nobuyuki's grandparents was human. He'd be like 1 tenth Jurian lol. From the looks of Nobuyuki I have real doubts that Kenshi gained any real powers from his dad lol.

At the end of Tenchi Muyo original OVA series (ep 20) Tenchi's dad knocks up his new wife, his wife could have been a decedent from one of the dolls sent to Kenshi's world... actually I think it was confirmed by the original creator at some point that Kenshi really is Tenchi's younger half brother + the countless references to Tenchi's various suitors as his sisters made it rater obvious.

I don't feel like finding the screenshot of Tenshi's dad with his new wife pregnant.

I assumed that Kenshi was the hybrid (child of a manmade+human) that is talked about in episode 12?

It says that they are more powerful and capable of free will which kenshi is able to show when he breaks the spell to make him obey orders. I would assume that is what kenshi is at least as he has a mother, father and sisters.

Also with Reia and Ulyete. They were both born brother and sister and their father used the core crystals to be able to preserve them. But the core crystals ate away and destroyed one of them and because of the crystals they became one entity, with whoever being stronger at the time being the one that appeared

Ah I just checked the wiki. It looks like Tenchi's dad's new wife might be a doll sent from Geminar for the reason of having a half human half doll child to defeat the Seikishin. It's only an assumption though since they don't directly tell us anything other then Geminar used to have the ability to send people to other worlds and that one of the dolls left Geminar.

That makes a little more sense.

yeah that's what I thought too....when I first watched this months ago as raw I didn't get what the hell they were saying so I was like WTF Ulyte became Neizai....but after translation, what actually happened is that there were 3 crystal, one being Mexiah, the other babalun and the third Ulyte...now you saw how Mexiah changed into doll so its pretty much the same thing with Ulyte...it was kenshi's herbal drink that kept him from fully changing unlike mexiah

anyways great anime...deserves a 9 compared to the other tenchi muyo spin offs

Here's best I can figure it to be. Tenchi's father is part Jurian and he marries Reia and that's how Kenshi is born. The 3 original created life forms that were made to take on Gaia were Doll, Neizai, and Reia.

Time seems to flow differently in the world of this story and seems to move alot faster. Shown by the fact that alot of the customs to them that seem to be in place for many many years are all connected to visitors from another world and show strong reference to Japanese culture from the 80's and newer.

So my take on it is. Of the 3 manmade life forms one was sent to Earth and that was Reia Kenshi's mother. Neizai died fighting Gaia far in the past, and Doll of course was put in some sort of hibernation. Time slowly passed on earth and Kenshi was born. Many hundred if not thousands of years passed in the world of the story. Neizai's and Gaia's core crystals were excavated and put into the young Ulyte and his brother Babelun.

The core crystals take over the body that they're put into and since Ulyte and Babel were born not created it caused trouble for Ulyte resulting in him phasing between himself and Neizai. Babel was completely taken over by Gaia thou.

Now in present Reia Kenshi's mother works with someone to send Kenshi to the world in the show. In order to have someone that might be strong enough to defeat gaia permanently.

The problem is the majority of Japanese kids call close older women their sisters. That's why I didn't read too much into it when he started saying that in the beginning.

......I'm in a bit of a loss as to how to assess this episode, but oh well, here goes.

I'd rate the series highly but this final episode - the final battle in particular - was a bit of a letdown in several aspects. First, Kenshi being a Gary Stu completely worked against him in this battle. Having his Seikishi come out unscathed diminished the atmosphere of an final-battle-that-decides-the-fate-of-world, with him just hacking and slashing at Gaia likes there's no tomorrow. As a fan of action anime, I was very disappointed as to how this turned out; I expect and like prize fight boxing matches that go into the final round, with both participants weary, bloody and barely conscious, pulling out every last bit of strength they could muster until only one is left standing. Obviously that wasn't the case here.

Second, the OST, oh god, the OST. The tracks were re-used one after another until it became stale and redundant that it was another factor that affected the atmosphere for the worst. I know this is a light-hearted series from the very beginning but something like Dance of Curse being used in that sequence of Gaia vs. Kenshi wouldn't have been too much to ask for? Right?

Lastly, the expositions toward the end were a bit long-winded that I really didn't care enough as to who did how and why he/she did what. Babalun getting up, then falling down, then getting up again like a damn cockroach was painful to watch - it killed the pacing.

Bah, though it seems like I'm rambling and nitpicking and posting a mini, slight rant here, I did like this series very, very, very much since it managed to take so many genres and roll it into one fantastic show. Sleek and creative "mecha" designs, gorgeous character designs, solid cast of characters, plenty of Crowning Moments of Awesome, and most of all, Kajishima's trademark skill at being an amazing world-builder, this show shined on many elements. 9/10 from me and a slot in one of my favorites.

Hopefully a sequel is in the works.

Just watched this and I have to say it has been a while since I have watched a show and enjoyable as this one. I am mostly consumed by the ongoing shows right now so I haven't had time to watch other series.

However, when I finally got around to see Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari (wasn't familiar with it before watching it) I simply could not stop watching one episode after another. I was simply captivated from the second episode.

Another great thing was that it has everything an decent show has but unlike the other shows it really improves on most things because it's 45min and that sometimes makes a lot of difference if you compare it to the standard shows that are only half of that (25min) It just feels like they can expand on whats happens in every scene. Some scenes feels very cliché and you have seen them in almost any other show that can relate to Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari. However, I didn't get the same nauseating feeling as I sometimes get with similar moments in other shows which felt great. Maybe you understand what I mean and if you don't it really doesn't matter as long as you thought it was great!

Same thing with Katanagatari! I swallowed every episode that was released immediately and it's also probably because they took time between their release to polish every episode.

As for Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari, I really liked the ending and I see no reason on why I wouldn't watch a sequel...

Kenshi says that his mother was Rea when Ulyte introduced "herself" as Rea, which would be Tenshi's stepmother, making Kenshi his younger brother.

the total lack of a conclusion drastically reduced my appreciate for this anime, especially since they brought back the enemy they'd just spent all that time killing and expanded his harem to every woman in the world right before they ended the series :/

Great ending, i had hopped for a better fight but the moves Kenshi did were awesome anyway kinda sad to see Doll change back to Mexiah and Kenshi should just marry all of them and be done with it >.<
Really hope there will be another season, since Kenshi didn't get to go back and there's many other things to be answered and there's the ending "text" as well.

Really enjoyed the show, but its better when its not being serious :P

Doll transforming into Mexiah was hilarious (boobs got bigger).

Chiaia my favorite, she has this big sister aura around Kenshi, but why did she run after him, in the last part, where everyone wanted to marry him? :D I would say the main heroine is Chiaia and the princess.

Kenshi might have more girls after him, than his older brother, but its quality, not quantity.

The battle alone was pretty cool but the way it ended was just plain stupid in my opinion. This Anime didn't really live up to its expectations to be honest but it was a fun watch nonetheless. Took forever until we even saw a mech, and the battles weren't even that great other than the last one we saw. Anyways, like I said before, this Anime would have been better as a Romance. (man I'm usually never this negative, maybe its because I've watched way too many mecha Animes as of late) ;-;

Very bored out by the series' first half and it had a lot of wasted potential but it turned out to be surprisingly decent overall for a ecchi harem series which is a genre I generally hate. Oh, and most of the characters were just plain likable. Good stuff.

Hoping for a second season for sure.

All I can say is...

and to answer Mexiah's question, I would like her in the form of doll rather than Mexiah :D..

well, I'll patiently wait for the next season and will be over joyed if there will really be one..
