I am messaging you to warn you about AlexShepherd, one of the users on the Megami Tensei Wikia. As you and other admins there have surely noticed, he is an extremely argumentative, longwinded and to put it bluntly annoying user to contend with. I'm here to warn you about other habits he has.
As of today, this user is banned on the Xenosaga Wikia for inserting pedophilia, bestiality, anti-religious and political views into articles, starting constant edit wars and arguments, submitting theories as facts and refusing to source them, and attempting to pass off photoshops as official art. As well, he had been harassing users on their walls.
He has also been blocked from the Silent Hill Wikia for much the same reasons, only he was screaming about circumcision there. You can google that whole mess if it interests you at all.
In short, this user is a known quantity, and every Wikia he goes to, he exhibits the same behaviors. I would, highly, recommend that you block him from further edits, especially as I can tell on his profile page that he has required admins to warn him frequently these days and those are the signs he's going critical.
This has been sent to you here to avoid making a public wall post on your wiki, which AlexShepherd would see, reply to, and turn into a massive shitstorm.
Thank you.
I'm good. In fact, never better. After almost a year of working off sweat and blood, I get a couple of days to relax. It won't last long but eh.. gotta be thankful for it. I seldom get offs.
Anime and Video games still on a roll? =)

We look forward to seeing you all here !
On another SRW note, I'm currently challenging myself to ace everyone on my current OGs save. It's very weird watching Shine, Mai, Aya and Russel lead the charge.
Uh...to pick up on something you mention on my friend's wall, I am a devout fan of Haruhi for precisely none of the three reasons you listed. I genuinely think it has a wonderfully original premise and toys methodically with its myriad of genres, nimbly weaving them together like an erector-set, then deconstructing them to a more comtemplative rhythm. It's not parody or satire by any stretch, but it's definitely wistfully commentative when it decides to get all meta. Yeah, the writing and dialogue are just fantastic, particularly Kyon's bouts of snarky, lemony narration. Oh, and I loved the characters; the main leads in particular are terrific foils with great chemistry.
Anyway, just my $0.02. I'm not expecting you to agree, obviously. Nice to meet you.
In the first part, I'm trying to say... Maybe you don't remember Kure-nai, but I had such a blast for the first 10 episodes, thinking I was sure to give it an 8. Then the last two episodes came, inserting plot difficulties out of nowhere, and the melancholic way the show ended shot it down to a 7, for me. Basically, I hate it when shows try to insert rushed or random events in the end, just so they could conclude the anime and call it an ending.
Honestly, a satisfying ending is great and all. I mean, who doesn't like a pleasant surprise that turns everything on it's head in the end (ie Code Geass), or some sort of cliffhanger ending that keeps you interested even after the anime's over and done with. Regardless, I'd be more than happy with an anime that ends by simply running out of episodes, by simply stopping. I'd take that kind of ending over these ending formulas where there must be a random, ridiculous problem near the end, that breaks the entire flow of the entire anime up to that point (i.e. Kure-nai, Fruits Basket, Nana, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 (well, not ending, but entire 2nd half here), etc.).
I was afraid of the producers making Usagi fall into the same trap.
Second part with Rin smiling, I'm trying to say I'm all giddy after finishing Usagi.
Usagi's Recommended stuff I was referring to is on Usagi's MAL page. If you scroll down, you'll find this:
Here, I'm trying to say I WANT MORE USAGI DROP. NAOW!
PHEW!!!
(though the Rin getting sick ep was pretty overdrawn and overemotional, and the tree ep, meh)
In any case, just finished, and this is my inner me right now:
Pure bliss...
The top anime under Usagi’s recommended link is Aishiteruze Baby, and I remember trying that a while ago, but thought it was such pure sappy overblown shit for however many eps I tried. But “Ikoku Meiro no Croisee,” I’ve got my eye on you.
We really aren’t that different, you know! I mean, it’s quite rare to find another that actually didn’t like Haruhi, Lucky Star, Honey and Clover, Hayate no Gotoku, Baka Test, or Kanon (2006) that much, or doesn’t think Gurren Lagann’s the best thing since sliced bread.
“I don't get how K-On is a 9 to you but Kaiji season one and two are 5 and 6”
I don’t rate on the so-called “quality” of an anime, or bother bandwagoning my interests with the popular opinion (or even reconciling mine with it). I score simply on how much I enjoyed something, cuz that’s why I watch (or play or read). Enjoyment to me doesn’t just mean fun or laughter, but also such things like how thoroughly something piques my interest (even if I’m not interested in the subject matter at all, like Baseball / traditional theater-acting / fashion design in Cross Game / Glass Mask / Paradise Kiss). Or how emotional it makes me (not just sadness, but heavily stirring any emotion) like in Tokyo Magnitude or Hajime no Ippo. Or how believably / fascinatingly the anime captures its world, if enough to draw me in and vicariously share the experience with any protagonist.
In other words, an anime can be as "deep" as hell, or technically masterful with visuals, music, yadda yadda... but does all that really matter if you don't enjoy watching it?
Kaiji… hahah… I could go endlessly on it, only because a friend and I have spent 4-6 full-blown comments back and forth. You’d side with him, obviously, as well as the rest of the world. I do have my reasons though, and if you’d like, I’ll copy some of my excerpts from his wall here, but feel free to skip:
TL;DR: The dragging anime bored and frustrated the fuck out of me, but rampant curiosity still kept it furiously addicting.
On the other hand, there's K-ON! K-ON was just a rare oddity, and a rather fun surprise. Silly shows like that and Lucky Star never really get much more than a shrug out of me. I guess it's supposed to be a comedy more than anything, but it wasn't the humor that made me smile through so many episodes. It was the characters and each scintillating persona. It was the fluid, super well-done character animation. And it was the pure bliss of life they were living… completely drew me in. But you’re not too far either, considering your 8.
So as I said, it boils down to how much I enjoyed something. Despite K-ON being as light as it is, I’ve seen it twice so it’s no fluke to how much enjoyment I got out of it. Season 2 definitely got a little too fluffed up and pointless, though, but my favorite episode of the two seasons was actually in S2 (the field trip one near the beginning).
And romance? Huh? I didn’t think my top-tier comprised of romances? lol, no I don’t rate down any shows just cuz they don’t have any romance (who’d do that?! Well, aside from preteen Twilight-ard girls, I guess), or any specific genre. I score high anything that I enjoy. Cuz damn it, even sappy, girly romances like Kaichou wa Maid-sama or Kare Kano can be so effing fun.
“I don't like shooters because… They usually have drastically less depth”
That’s my line.
I’ll take your word on Ragnarok. At least now I know if I ever feel like playing an MMO, there’s one to definitely try. Thanks.
You're way too polite Z, don't worry, I rarely take offense to anything, pretty happy-go-lucky invariably. Admiration for me, eh? It takes much more than mere flattery to steal my heart! FOOT MASSAGE, NOW. Ahhh...
"Final Fantasy TACTICS is a large misnomer"
What do you mean? You're saying it's not a true Tactics RPG, but Tactics Ogre is?
I've never tried Tactics Ogre, but you're dressing it pretty well. Sounds kind of delicious right now, but I'll devote myself to Mother for a while. It's all set up, but I haven't started yet, largely because the anime I began this weekend -- Usagi Drop -- has run far, far away with my attention. It's just sooo relatable, with the guy reminding me more and more of myself. I keep thinking, “Totally what I’d do right there. Good job, dude!” or “yeah, I know that feeling.” I see you liked it quite a bit yourself.
This is actually the first time I've looked at your anime list. Kinda funny how we still haven't broached the subject yet, considering how we're on an anime site and all.
Oh, forgot to address one topic:
"I wouldn't say PC has a very extensive game library"
- Well, I was counting ports too. You know, how practically every game for 360's ported to PC nowadays. A friend told me most 360 game developers use a good bit of C#, so I can see why it'd be so easy to PC-port them.
Now PC-original games? I can't say there have been many I've tried and liked. Not a fan of point-and-click adventures, or the hordes of casual games out there. Bullet-hell games make me queasy, but other scrolling shooters (especially ones with RPG-like upgrade systems) get me easily addicted. My favorite was Tyrian 2000. Haven't tried WOW yet, but I generally hate MMORPGs, with how repetitive and substance-lacking they tend to be (always seems like you're getting addicted to fluff). But I see you gave Ragnarok Online 5 stars, wow. I'm not a fan of FPSs, don't know why (lol, you gave Modern Warfare 2 only 1 star? Seems like you don't either). Oh, but Portal! Can't wait 'til I build a good enough computer for Portal 2. If I really wanted to, I've earned more than enough money to just build one right now, but I want to wait for a free summer or something. And by then, PC specs will jack up even more! Are you into PC-building, too? If so, what's in your current machine?
No, Saiyuki's story sucks, as much as most tactics stories. I don't play for Saiyuki's story, just for the simple tactics game mechanics. The only tactics I've played with decent story was Arc 3, but you didn't find that interesting either. I do remember trying Final Fantasy Tactics for PSX once, which I heard had an incredible plot, but I was young and annoyed by just how much the random encounter enemies leveled up along with you. I'll give it another good chance one day when I have heaps of time. I tried FF Tactics Advance too once, but it didn't seem like it'd have a very good story, in contrast to the PSX version. And the judge system annoyed me.
Yup, I read about the N64 thing too. Thanks for the info about the prequels. If Mother 3 actually captivates me, there's no running or hiding: Earthbound's all mine. In case it tries, I'll have my whip and handcuffs ready...
Just wanted to let you know I'm about to try Mother 3. Honestly, the game looks exceptional... I was looking it up at work (YEAH, I work HARD) and wow, in development for 12 years?! And the creator actually commented "I want to shock the world!" and "I'm going to squeeze everything I can imagine, all of my creativity into this one project"? Yeowch! Haven't been this turned on in a while.
Thanks a ton for the translation link. I'm assuming I don't have to play the prequels beforehand, right? How was 1 and 2, anyway?
Curious: what does Zahlzeit mean? A character's name?
Welp, here goes nothing.
