| We are now nine episodes into this series and the overall score suggests that the vast majority of people are NOT enjoying this anime at all, which is a little bit interesting and/or surprising when you think about how hyped or delusional one can get over a unique setting or whimsical art style (Ousama Ranking comes to mind, but that had a much bigger fanbase). There was even a "this screams hidden gem of the season" thread at the beginning (which hasn't seen many bumps or edits for a while lol). How many times have you done this before? It's seemingly such a common thing to do, put all your faith on a single aspect of a series, yet completely disregard everything else that happens or hasn't happened yet? The unknown in a series (though sometimes a more nuanced person can tell certain things earlier on than most). Is setting yourself up for disappointment really worth it in the end? I'm not so sure.... |
| I mean there were ressons behind why people said that. Science Saru is a pretty phenomenal studio with the most consistent output in the industry over the last decade. Sadly this might largely be due to Yuasas involvement with the studio but since he has left we need to see where the studio goes from here. |

| I had few expectations of how this show would be other than the art attracted me. By having an open mind, I didn't doom myself to disappointment if the show didn't live up to my expectations. After a long day I just want to sit back and be entertained. Yurei Deco does that. I like the characters and the show keeps me wanting to know what will happen next. There are a lot of highly rated anime that I just don't like, so here's a low rated anime that I like a lot. |
