Man, this epsiode was kinda depressing especially seeing it from Yuu's point of view. Laying in the hospital bed and experiencing those moments of despair...yikes.

It's good to see Yuu getting support from her teammates and friends althogh I have to admit those disguises are rather silly.

As expected, this episode was rather depressing. Poor Yu.

But he'll be back!

That CEO is as big and scary as The Groke from the Moomins. Even their colors make a match. xD

Yu's hospitalization being the horse training accident, is more than just that alone. Frankly, the intervention from his former agency is to blame as well, but also took care of him in his time of recovery. Thank god that the only severe injury is a muscle tear, but that puts Yu in a stalemate for a month, much less his father Instructor Nohira and Hayato aren't being able to see him.

Converting a horse-related problem to a familial problem, it's true that Hayato's weight issues while jockeying did contribute to the accident, but it's Yu's depressing PTSD of hallucinations that drives his dream home, that his agency's CEO has to send a withdrawal paperwork of the utmost urgency, fabricating lies if she needs to enforce the stop to consummate his only path in the idol business. I'm sorry, but that's how businesses tend to operate on the extreme to protect their most valuable assets.

Thought that Yu would find a kindred spirit in Kuji since he got an injury before as well, but that didn't help things either. So then, the only way for the others to find him is by force, and Shun magically climbing 4 storeys like a monkey through the window just to meet Yu, what an athletic guy.

This was some complex character development that really didn't need to be that complex just to convince Yu to go back to horse jockeying, but this is his story transitioning from an idol to a jockey, it's decent at best.

I'd like to ask the CEO if Yu is injured from idol career (like stage accident, etc) will she want Yu to quit being an idol too? Only if she answer yes then she has the right to make Yu quit the horseracing school.

But to be fair, it's also realistic if Yu quit at this point, he doesn't show any potential yet, and he's injured. And I might go even further and suggest Hayato to quit to because it seems like he'll grow much bigger, thus disqualifying him from competition, and even if he qualified he'd be in a disadvantage position due to heavier weight.

Kuji seems to be nicer when he's not in the competition. Can't blame him because it's really stressful when you're in the competition environment. It's like a turn on-off switch between your life outside the competition and inside the competition.

Great episode! I really felt sorry for Yuu having to be denied the chance to ride horses due to his injuries. And his agency really annoy me... why doesn't she just let him do what he wants to do?! Yuu also saw Kuji whilst he was sitting on the bench outside and when asked why he didn't push through the gap in the race faster, he denied to answer someone who was quitting being a jockey...
His friends cheered Yuu up however xD.

Looking forward to the next episode!

Heh that's looks even worse than i am thinking because those both actually not switching body...

Joke aside, Sachou use those golden chance to separate Yuu from the other at the horse racing school and there's a big reason why she act like that. Yuu still tied on contract with her as the agency of Mr Doctor. So yeah i feel like i understand her point, to make him back as her source of money.

Though, she's forgetting the power of friendship and its easy for those guy to infiltrate Yuu's room. Nice. Whatever shit happened with those big lady, Yuu will make a comeback for sure and be on side with his racing horse idol. Surprising him more into the deep bone.

Good luck....

I did not think Yuu would be in a hospital this episode. Actually, I really didn't think something this serious would happen to the protagonist. The writers deserve to be praised for not holding back just because someone is the main character.

I like how the window was used this episode. It felt like a prison and also a portal to a different world.

They used perspective and a focus on the empty walls to create a sense of complete isolation for Yuu in the hospital room. Even I could feel his loneliness.

Does Yuu not have parents? He's still young. I don't like how Saionji is trapping and controlling him.

Shun is just the best. lol

I hope Hayato didn't quit.

Hayato probably feels like shit because of what happened to Yuu after their argument, but I hope he knows what happened was just an accident, and that he wasn't wrong to get angry. From his perspective, Yuu was someone with a choice who was complaining about not having one, while Hayato's body was growing in a way that he would not have a choice at all.

Yuu got to meet the guy who was mean to him again, and he proved he was not just doing this on a whim. Good job! Little wins are important in life. lol

Didn't expect things to become this serious. Loved how they used the windows.

poor yu, but trials like this are necessary, if yu wants to achieve his dreams he must be ready to sacrifice, fight all that hinders him, be more decisive, patient and of course don't give up. The fat ceo is annoying but it's suitable to play a bad role for yu's character development. I hope Yu can get well soon and meet again with friends who really support and care for him. rice kate must be lonely, yu take good care of rice kate. by the way where are yu parents??!!?!

Sadly this is the episode that made me drop the show… I’ve been waiting for the series to get interesting for a while now and I really though that with everything happening to Yu the series would finally get there but this episode was extremely disappointing and made me realize that it probably doesn’t get better than this…

I swear I want to strangle the dumb president. You’re not his mother to make his choices.

I like how they use the window throughout the episode to depict Yu's emotions. It was a wonderful touch. And the audio message was very helpful for Yu. They're wonderful friends.

I know the power of god an anime will help yu get back into things miraculously, but I think this definitely would've been an interesting direction it took if yuu had to retire early because of something like this, and the series instead chose to focus on how he overcame this realization

So Yu is still part of being a slave of the idol company which is why he is being followed by that annoying recorder girl. Wonder how long he had to do before he is free and is able to just become a jockey. Quite annoying. I hope this drama is over and we can actually get to the sport with horses...

That's a ton of drama but the symbolism of the windows is genius cinematography.

Where are Yu's parents ? He is minor right ? Why does the sleazy agency has the authority to make such important decisions regarding his future ? Why isn't his family at the hospital ?

Don't talk to me about character development if Kaizuka Inaho or Slaine Troyard are in your favorites.

Touching episode. And that bgm while Yu was imagining himself racing was extremely powerful. So don't give up, Yu! I'm glad his friends helped him realize his love for racing. Nakama power!!!!!

I don't know about Yuu but I would be pissed af at the recorder girl if I were him. She's as much of a piece of shit as the CEO and the fact that she tries to act worried towards him is almost insulting. Not to mention the stunt she did by deleting the part with the teacher praising him from the documentary.

the best was the animation style of the window, always grey except the last scene, yellow, and remember the yellow is the colour of .... kekeke
