What I hate about this series is that the special feels more fun than the series itself. Is funny and tragic, all the Waver situation, about realizing Camus was into him. Was a fun to watch and had a good message about let tit go from the past. And keep connecting with Fate/Zero. |

As a fan of Waver Velvet I really enjoyed this 50 plus minute episode which goes into his past a bit more and has tons of funny moments with Wavers friends and Reines in her younger form. Reines will probably stay my favorite character in this serie next to Waver. The ''Grave me'' you in the end was beautiful and I loved seeing his students again. I seriously want a second season or something. This is just too entertaining. Let me add it into my list asap. |

Wow, pretty nice special episode. Didn't think I'd hear "Grave for you" and see more Waver moments in 2021/2022. Definitely feels like the original series though, which is nice. Hm, interesting. Touko appears in this special episode as she does in HF3. MAL please add this!! |

I swear this girl Touko appears in everything type-moon. Important in Kara no kyoukai, main character in mahotsukai no Yoru, mentioned in fate/zero, appears in HF3 and no she finally appears in this πππ. It's okay cause I love her and she needs her own story, unless there's one I don't know about |

I didn't remember this myself until I just recently watched Kara no kyoukai, and after, read her wiki |

A tragic lovestory eh, suits Waver's character perfectly. Otherwise it was pretty amusing to see young Waver again, naive as he might have been. Also more Gray and Reines is always nice. |

This is not something that's important to anything but... how much time do you think clock tower students spend practice drawing freehand circles? Because Waver just drew a huge-ass freehand circle on cobblestones and that is... not an easy thing to do |

I liked it but somehow I missed the main feeling of it, like it didn't actually show how "brilliant" waver is, he jumped to conclusion without proper setup. His famous detective work which we clearly could see in the main series was somehow absent in this special episode. However I'd like to see Camus in future and it's 8/10 for me. |

Poor Waver, the only girl that ever loved him turn crazy ... Also, you see i really like el-melloi stories, like really like them, the nasuverse is much more than just servants blowing up shit, but you can't just fix every worlds problem by having Gray blasting it out of existence by the power of king Arthur. Now, on the other note ... they also managed somehow to make this whole story as a coming of age tale, that was actually very nice. But shame that Touko was truly just a hosting character in this. |

This was really good, you can even argue that this was better than some of the arcs on the actual show. My only question is, will we get an adaptation of the Castle Adra and the Twin Towers of Iselma arcs that came before Rail Zeppelin? |

That was one heck of a class reunion. That shell projection was quite interesting. On another note, I'm surprised Camus was so chill about him projecting a miniature version of what attacked her. A somewhat bitter ending. The way she refrained from taking a photo of Waver as he is now. Kinda shows she might not be over seeing him as he was as a Clock Tower student. Random Note: @ 24:26 Reines getting smashed from all the wine was a nice touch. |

Wow really didn't expect anything fate related to be released around this time, especially from the Lord El-Melloi series, but non the less this was hands down a really pleasant 1hr Christmas special. Story was really good especially for a special, good to see the old crew and some familiar faces like Olga-Marie or Kairi. Like the Lord El-Melloi series is known for, the mystery and detective work this ep was pretty eventful. Obviously to fit all of this in an hour is pretty crazy so i'll give them that for being able to put so much detail, as well as action into this special. The plot was great, what starts of as a reunion of classmates reveals to be a act of revenge however in the end it all focused on Waver, and Camus dreams of reliving the past. The theme of being able to live in the past, where maybe things were nicer and simpler was, imo, pretty well done. We saw a lot of examples of how different people can be in the past and how the future isn't always as we plan. However the past is unchangeable, so ultimately she was reliving memories of it. Overall great job linking it to Camus's goals. Camus development was pretty well done, seeing her past self as a shy and timid person who looked up to Waver, but because Waver was so preoccupied with his paper he failed to see her affection, later how she lost her magic circuits which inevitably broke her and caused her to plan out what is first seen as an act of revenge, but becomes more of her desires manifesting into selfishness. Overall i thought they did a good job at building up her character and showing on her motifs, sucks that past Waver couldn't see her affection, but hay at least he now got the message, better late then never right? I really liked Waver's character in Zero and in Lord El-Melloi, so seeing him as he is now, reflecting on his past actions especially with Camus was really interesting. All in all a great special, definitely a solid 8/10 and a nice surprise. |

THIS is why i love el melloi II, exploring more on the mage world and stuff. i fckin bored with servants stuff all the time and couldn't care less about another grail war. such a wasted opportunity when typemoon magic system is one of the most complex and to put it simple pain in the *ss to cast but if done right it's going to be a beautifully complex magic unlike brainded gamelike magic system in 95% of fictional works in japan. |

You gotta love how Nasuverse always goes over the top with magic applications. Ah, yes, I've been working on projections. See this little monster I can display? So I'm thinking the next step is copying an entire world. I'm not convinced the applications actually make sense half the time, but you gotta give points for trying. |

As Waver said in the episode, the case was but a simple story so its not really a hard case to crack. The presentation also really made point to make whose doing all this obvious to the viewers to further make the case simple. The point of this particular story is more about the emotion and probably a good reintroduction to Touko since I guess she would be more involved in other cases ftom this point on forward. |

Not really a fan of young Waver, and the climax with Gray is pretty lacking. It's watchable though for the most part (assuming you liked the parent series). |

Waver being mega gay for Iskanbro is never gonna get old. Loved this little special to bits, is just too bad Waver doesn't get nearly as much content as the saber clones, nevermind they have to shove one into his life. |

Waver going for the Broskander wae hard that he even rejected a proposal. My man's gonna go the saint life eh. Reliving Waver's memory changed my viewpoint on many characters like Kayneth. I always thought he was just a crooked guy but he really did himself best to his students potential present. Although Melvin never changed. Damn bro lending out cash like spitting blood. |

Special episode that does not leave indifferent and that fully satisfies, seen a second time, leaves a really good taste in the mouth, because the first time you see it, the story may seem a bit rushed, but seeing it again it is not. The secret of the success of this special episode is in having been able to make the most of the time available and the fact of having had a very long playing time for the narration. The story is well articulated in the various contexts and the fact of coupling the atmospheres of the Fate brand with cases of investigation with logical deduction and not only, of this anime series, make the vision of this engaging, as it was of the whole production. previous. A special therefore halfway between an episode of an anime series and a film, precisely for the reasons given above and for the very good quality of the drawings, animations and sets. I hope that a new season of detective Waver Velvet and his assistant and his light-hearted students will arrive soon. P.S. The year 2021 thanks to this special and to that of "Sorairo Utility", it ended really well, as far as I'm concerned. 8/10 |

Finally managed to watch and... I WANT MORE. Where is season 2 of the series? :( I love everything about the clock tower in the NasuVerse and Waver is a great character to follow. I am little disappointed about Touko here, they tease some stuff that only people that read the original material know and in this special she was just helping the bad stuff and that is all. Also I loved the signed version of the series OPby ASCA (but still prefer the instrumental). |
