I definitely did not expect this.
Of course, a sole three minutes.. but not just.. this.

The song was lovely, though. Eufonius really is suited for these kind of shows. Song sans epilogue over here: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10215351

7/10 because it's True Tears. And Noe. But.. I'm disappointed.

And why was Hiromi crying?

I had a completely different take on the events

So, we're the one who'll interpret what happened...
It would be more satisfying if there was dialogue though.
I was (quite) expecting that this three-minute would be a narration. Something like, a little time skip after everything. And this is what we get. The music was pretty though.

Why was Hiromi crying? It's a mystery to me.

It was meh, but it did feel satisfying in a weird kinda way.

7/10

Wait, did Noe actually jump? o___o

Judging what they showed. This happened right before the ending epilogue they had in the last episode. Seeing as Noe's hair was shorter in this one, she still wasn't friends with the two girls, etc etc. 7/10 though I guess.

I agree with this. So Noe didn't jump because the real ending is still the original one with her crying in front of the grave.

Look for some Blu-ray rips on tokyotosho.info and download ep.13 or 14 (they're the same). Watch the last 3 or so minutes of the episode. The end.

I LOL at the first assumed ending :)
Since this is Noe we're talking about, I think there is the possibility of her jumping :)

Anyone care to explain why Shin-chan and lovely Hiromi walk separately by the beach instead of holding hands etc? And they didn't look too happy either..maybe our protagonist want a harem ending? :) Joking :P

I don't remember the series much....it was pretty good I think. I remember that about 3 girls loved the main guy and he ended up choosing the girl, who was living with him because her parents died. I remember, his mother being kinda "evil" but she had reasons because of her husband being with the girl's mother (who is dead I presume)......basically she was holding a grudge and caused pain for the girl but after realising the main girl is in the same exact position as her with son and Now forming a love triangle/polygon....the mother started helping the girl.

This 3 minute no-dialogue ending is meant to make more sense if you listened to the Drama CD but since I haven't, I didn't really get this musical epilogue and on top of not really remembering the actual series. This extra epilogue to me....came 2 years too late. >>

I'm giving this a rating of 7/10. The song was beautiful though. =)

This looks more like a 3 minute preview for another series, rather than an epilogue. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

This extended ending definitely seems to be a continuous set of scenes showing the time skip between Shinichiro's confession and the end where Noe gets her tears back. Consider the hair length as a subtle hint, but the biggest hints are the uniforms (the post-credits ending is still using winter approved coats and the pre-credits ending is using spring's fashion catalogue as well as cherry blossoms falling) and the fact that Noe is running from the girls that end up being her friends. This is my interpretation of the events that unfolded.

Though the Drama CD may explain it, I feel like this was all mostly artistic in showing how each character had found some sort of resolve and melds with the pre-credits ending. I am usually a fairly cynical person, so I found it strange that other people found this ending to be bad (I do see how that can happen quite easily with ambiguous endings).

It’s all very subtle and I think if you were Japanese, it’d make even more sense, since much of the themes in this anime are about hesitation, honesty, and doing things properly (i.e., how many times did you hear the Japanese word ‘chanto’ prior to some verb… which means to do/say/act something properly/perfectly), which are very common issues that Japanese media deals with (it’s present here but not always in-your-face, but it’s very common in today’s Japanese media… maybe due to growing hikikomori culture concerns). Nothing happens fast in this series, so the extended ending perfectly depicts the continuous, long road to where everyone gets what they want.

Sorry for the long post, but I was originally confused about the ending (but strangely satisfied). However, the more I wrote, the more I could understand why. Hope you guys share more of your thoughts, too!

I'll be honest, this just straight up pissed me off.

This gave no more info than in the ending of the last episode and just made things even more vague and unclear.

One thing's for sure though: Noe is fucking insane...

1/10 (I would give it a 0, but the music was kinda nice)

At first I thought Noe was going to be sat alone eating, and she seems quite content even being with Jibeta anyway. It's nice to see she's with friends.

And about Hiromi crying, I read that she is seen crying due to feeling sorry for Noe, and what she must be feeling inside.

I feel quite happy about this, really. I have already accepted Noe isn't with Shin so it's not like there's anything for me to dislike about this, if anything, I just still feel sorry for Noe. Although she has friends, she just seems lonely.

I was kind of upset after watching this. I was expecting to see more of Shin and Hiromi together, but I guess not. Instead I got Noe scenes to rerage me rather than calming romance with music.

Beautiful show, made me shed tears of happiness!

...is what I'd say if Noe won at the end. But choosing Hiromi instead? The fucking chicken has more personality than that bland girl. Fuck it, 5/10 because Noe was in the show.

I kinda felt happy for Noe after watching this, she has new friends after all but still I'm rooting for Shinichiro x Noe pair. I'm really happy the way Miyokichi x Aiko pair turned out by far the best pair in the series ^_^

Didn't see anyone mention this, but the epilogue is actually voiced in a drama CD. Though, I don't think it has been translated. But what I can tell from Aiko's section...

I don't have the other two sections of the drama CD, yet (not enough people distributing), but figured that someone would look back on this thread and wonder what the hell happened in the un-voiced epilogue. Just had a ping of nostalgia, so I came back here, haha.

pretty good wrap-up for everybody;

- Noe "moves on" and makes new friends, though I wonder what happens to her when Jun goes to Tokyo?

- Ai-chan and Nobuse rekindle their relationship

- Hiromi becomes vice captain of the basketball team, has a new found respect for Noe, develops a daughter/mother in-law relationship with Shin's mother, not much detail on their relationship but it can be concluded that her and Shin is gonna be alright

LOOL, the THORA version included this epilogue right after the credits so I was watching, not knowing it was an added content. I will rate it the same as the series, since, it was everything together than made me gave it a 8.5.

Saw it as part of episode 13 but judging from the scenes this is probably before the actual ending of the final episode so not really an epilogue.
