That was tense! It's interesting to see the difference between the jaded doctor whose loved one was killed and who feels that purging evil is all that's left for him to do, and the children who still see a future ahead and hold out hope that they'll eventually find a peaceful place to settle down.

Great chapter, this chapter showed that Boy mind is still intact and that he still has understanding for other human beings!

This chapter is the sort of thing I want from this series, the dilemmas and alternative ways of thinking are very well done. The man in the suit has his logic and it does make sense but his logic also make him somewhat evil and cold, the girl has her optimism and her dreams of loving peace which make her naïve to a degree, whilst the boy has his utter determination but also his moral code which make him hesitant and put him in danger, it is pretty well done. The contrast between the weird man and the man in the suit is also interesting, both dangerous to our protagonists and both doing bad things but so very different.

She is the boy's mother but it's not what u think.
When the suit dude tells the boy about the death of his loved ones. The boy thinks about his own mother who was killed in the war.

Scary! Can't believe he would've killed the boy if the boy killed the dude... Would he kill the girl too then? She'd be mortified and blame the guy even if he didn't tell the truth... I wonder if the suit-guy will test the boy one last time by threatening the girl and forcing the boy to make a quick decision. But the boy already killed before in self-defense, although suit-guy doesn't know this. Thinking about it, I wonder if he'd kill him if he told the truth about the strange-man.

that ending is the kind of stuff that makes me feel pure dread. There's something about being put in a situation where your life is on the line and being completely unaware of just how much your next choice will affect you.
