A collective unit together as the Trickstar showed their improvement after the training.

I guess practice does make a pay off and helps improve their abilities.

Wow, the way he invites Valkyrie to attend the new Tanabata-sai is evil...

Pink hair guy is mischievous, but is thoughtful to his unit member and his "butler".

Ra*bits practicing and that Valkyrie leader checking on his previous member.

Main girl visiting Valkyrie because she received their sign up.

lol @ Eguchi-san's character again. Akatsuki vs. Ra*bits first and Akatsuki wins. Winner gets to make the chosen audience's wish come true. There's trouble and Akatsuki gave the chance to Ra*bits to help out with backstage. Next is fine vs. Ra*bits... no, Valkyrie appeared.

2-member Valkyrie's performance. fine still wins, but it seems like Midorikawa-san's character caught attention to the opponent's performance for the first time and got amazed.

Summary to competitions after theirs.

Do they realise how unenjoyable this is? Drumming up all the suspense for performances and then - CUT! This unit lost, that one won; something "unexpected" happens, so the winners just leave the stage anyway, effectively giving up so the losers can feel like they won... for a few minutes. I'm honestly not sure which is worse: the complete omission of entire performances (after providing long build-ups for them), or this whole "oh you lost, wait no you didn't" nonsense.

I mean... everything's a contest, everything's a fight, in an anime with this sort of visual style is weird, but it can be overlooked, I guess. However, I come to an idol anime for songs and dances. Guess what's lacking here?

MISSED OPPORTUNITY OMG YOU HAVE ACCESS TO TWO TANABATA SONGS AND YOU CHOSE TO JUST CUT THEM?! ":ASLFJ":LDKAF":LKAF

The one performance they chose is Valkyrie -__- Nothing against them but the other 3 should have had their own performances too even if cut a bit. (Ryuseitai and Trickstar have their own drama so understandable that they'd focus on the other four since they're correlated).

It's a love arrow shoot Keito version I saw lol, this made my day!! Cute voice Ume :3

It's just sad that we only saw Valkyrie's performance, would like to see the other even if it's a few seconds. So finally they just combine all Tanabata events.

Oh and next week... HIYORI AND JUN!!!! Was expecting all Eden but oh well, I want Jun-kun the most so it's okay!!

yea I wish they actually included more songs instead of glossing over it, especially since these songs are a lot better than some other idol anime

They honestly should've ended the anime in episode 12. I like the characters and everything that's going on with them, but the main reason I started to watch this anime was because of the performances. There were 4 performances in this episode and they didn't show us any single one.

Trickstar/Ryuuseitai Tanabata event was completely cut off, and it was such a crucial part of Subaru's development... Disappointing.
They will rush Summer Live (just like this entire adaptation) so I'll just grab my Rei screenshots and leave.

We only saw Valkyrie's performance. This was a pretty underwhelming episode.

Adorable Ra*bits with the cutesiest outfits OMFG!!! Their performance wasn't shown, but the four of them together with Nito was the most precious 5 minutes this anime has, ever. Nito is Best Boy
But the episode starts out with scumbag Eichi threatening the two guys from Valkyrie with blackmail like the trash he is, god I hate that dude's guts. He hasn't done a single good thing for this anime and he has no talent.
But then after credits we get several minutes of adorable Tori goodness
Followed by Ryu intentionally busting the door open to talk to the Valkyrie boys about entering the next concert... that guys is awesome. I loved how he helped out by withdrawing in favor of Ra*bits but how could they possibly lose!! GRRR!!! Nitro's intro of Trickstar was beautiful so who cares... it's even more adorable how they're supporting each other.
They tried to humanize butt face at the end, screw that guy. You know I've noticed, everyone in this show puts on their performances, and the audience loves them all DESPITE this guy, not because of him. Wish they showed more performances, it felt like they cut them off.. which sucks because they all wore their absolute best. Kind of disappointing
