These character avatars are kinda cute especailly with those sprouts on their heads lol

Idk, this episode felt really lighthearted at first but it still carries a sense of competition. Not to mention, raising their character avatar seems like a big responsibility.

They had to raise little avatar characters.

Pretty good episode. The second half focused a lot on Aikawa, Makino. One more episode left...

it was a typical episode for that kind of anime with characters stuck together in a closed place, because every one will probably have its episode or piece of episode to develop its story and personality.

it was neither good nor bad, just very classical.

the problem is that there is only one episode left and the story almost didn't progress. At least we know that it probably won't end in the next episode. but i don't know how they are going to make us want to watch a second season while the story is almost as advanced as in the firsts episodes.

We know they are stuck, they have to reach 100M views by participating to tests. The guy who tell them to do so is mysterious and seems to have links with some of them. And that is al... so what we know since the begginingl (ok there are people in the underground, but what did they brought until now other than telling us that they are not the first ones to play? almost nothing).

It is not slow, it is long. I thought that we would maybe have some elements in the last two episodes to give a bit of consistency to the plot in readiness for a second season but apparently no.

I wanted to prove wrong those who say that almost every isekai has a bad plot and execution... it will sadly not be for this time.

Did they really just end the episode with "the real fun begins now" again?

yes, i had the same reaction, they tease us since the beginning, nothing happens... and they tease us again at the end of the second to last episode...

With the way that this episode ended, I'm not sure how they want to answer all the questions with the last episode. Who is Mr. Paca? What will happen to the undergrounders? Who set this up? Who was that friend that Mr. Paca made a promise with? How was Mr. Paca burnt?

Who exactly are the people watching?

I'm betting on a season two.

Yeah, I doubt they would jump 37 million views in the last episode. Question is did it do good enough to get another season lol.

Anyway, this was an unexpected backstory but a welcome one. Little Yuzu was so damn adorable.

This was a really well put together episode and definitely the most touching.
I doubt we're getting a "proper" conclusion next episode, and I'm not holding my breath for Season 2, but this show has been quite enjoyable all in all. Shame it never got the attention it deserved this season.

Paka was just being Paka this time around. Glad they got into 50 mil views, but hitting another 50 to get to 100 mil seems off-the-shelf.

So, Game 9 into VR, and taking care of kindergarten avatars. Some same, some transformed into their childlike states. However, Aikawa stands out for the fact that he's an Isolated Soul.

Only Himiko could feathered into a real bud, but I didn't expect Onigasaki to be very child-like.

Since we're almost to the end, the actual backstory itself can be taken out of context since it isn't covered as much as from the manga, if the production staff actually tried to cover some ground. If anyone asked, it would be the "go read the manga" ending, and most likely it'll be the case.

Makino's past has been shown in here, and do you agree with what iride has said regarding liking someone but those feelings not being return... JUST ACCEPT IT (rephrased words)?

Well i do agree with what he has said on that one--- MOVING FORWARD IS THE BEST WAY FOR YOUR LIFE TO PROGRESS AS IF YOU STUCK IN THE PAST, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN IN YOUR LIFE.

WELL ONE final game. Lets see what will happen with this one

So Finally the anime show the spotlight to Makino rather than just being sleepy and fortunate character. I'm skeptical about the finale being conclusive considering how much need to be told.

Heee that backstory of Aikawa really has something
Sadly this episode didn't really gave me the feelings tho..

So with the last episode.. The real fun begins? Again I guess
We won't get any questions answered next ep I bet
And even if- by far not all.
A bit disappointing ngl

Iride was pretty mysterious again at the end there.. New questions arised but well

The Ones Within delivers yet another fine episode! As the show reaches the endgame, Makino gets some much-needed backstory and we get a better perspective to his thoughts and actions throughout the show. While it wasn't as emotionally impactful as I thought, it was still satisfying to see Makino evolve in his own way. It was also hilarious to see our merry band of gamers raise child versions of their own teammates, I was surprised to see how easy it was for Zakuro and Karin to adapt to the task, but then again, their adventure has changed them for the better. Now that the show has reached the endgame, we can expect the stakes to grow higher, as Paka reveals his interest in Akatsuki. The Ones Within has largely flown under the radar this season, and that's a bit sad because this is show is pretty good. I really hope this show can deliver a satisfying conclusion.

High Key was hoping it was going to be a body swap episode when I saw the pods. Oh well. This show has been pretty bad so I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up.
