The episode was alright with decent amount of dogfighting against the pirates. Impressed by some of the aerial maneuvers this episode. |

| Julia doesn't seem to have much fear judging from the part at the end. Anyway this is the first time we see twin engine bombers which was something i was waiting for till now it was mostly one engine aircraft, the Japanese also had four engine aircraft including bombers and flying boats. Last week we also had a twin engine aircraft but it wasn't a bomber. If you want to do some serious damage to a city with WW2 technology you need large bombers. Now the only thing that's missing is proper AA guns. |

| Oh, a bomber plane. That was cool. Reona went totally berserk in the middle though. I'm glad she was able to pull herself together. The Soaring Magician seems like an amusing guy. xD |

| Hmm okay so there are no more oceans. Very interesting. Given that so much of the land looks barren it kinda makes sense. Seems like the main focus of this story will be political based surrounding pirates and other issues. There was mention of a war which is not surprising. So our goofy ass magician was actually top tier pilot at one point and even saved Reona from dying during a battle. We got to see a different side of her which was cool. Since Julia ended up showing up again I imagine the magician will as well. And they are both into politics so it makes sense to bring em back story wise. |

| An enjoyable episode with good maneuvers. I liked see those bombers. |
| Don't get me wrong I loved the characters, and how I am learning more about the girls. Isao has my vote. However I call major B.S. on them shooting down the bombers. They should have taken the J2M from the last episode as it is an interceptor with the capabilities to down a bomber. Dogfighters (excepting the 8 gun beasts a few countries pumped out) did not have either the altitude capability or the weapons to down a bomber quick enough to matter. The best they could do was swarm and hope or ram them. |
| Plenty of things happened. Kylie pounding Chika's stuffed toy is so funny. Kylie must have been really upset, she even surprised those Nazarin guys with that weird question. :p About those two guys from Nazarin. That Adolfo seems to have improved in personality, he's no longer arrogant like in episode 1. Also both him and the priest showed some real flying skills this episode.. it's just the two of them against all those fighters, and they survived even taking out a few. Reona wants to help, because that magician saved her life years ago. Let's see where this goes. :) |
 Ok so them girls were up against a Zeke  And 2 Mitsubishi G4M, btw do guys know that they're called fly cigars or Hameki in Japanese, but the allies called them Betty. As for the plane that Isao used, no idea, but it looks like Reona knew him before, and may have some feeling for him. So, those Nazarin fly boys from a squadron to just a 2 man formation, too bad for them most died cu'z they drink and fly and fight not a good combination. Oh so that lady in Green was jaz sooo prudish that she refuses to go to safety and instead sat in her 3rd floor balcony window sipping tea, it kinda looks like she enjoys with with some dust coming from the ceiling. |

| That ACE pilot is a goof magician but his skills are greater than a normal Kotobuki member pilot! nice moves! that bomber...make me remember about "Dunkirk" and how they are such destructive creatures if left unnoticed! 5/5. |

| This episode showed the other personality of Reona, who could be rash and irrational. Also this episode introduced a new ace pilot, who is goofy and overconfident but a great pilot overall. |

| The setting is pretty illogical - no oceans? Setting aside the extremely unlikely event of the oceans drying up (climate change is only making the oceans bigger and more dead). How the hell does anybody eat without rain to water crops, much less the houseplants? I have to assume the existence of kind of space travel technology for inhabiting desert planets exists in order to account for the mere existence of the characters. While I appreciate the coherent art deco aesthetic in the skyscaper, the vacuum tube radio, zeppelins, and the cars to match the planes, it introduces a serious problem of schizo tech. I tend to care a lot about the internal logic of fictional settings, and this really makes me wish the writers (I assume this is an original anime) had thought just a little harder about it. If using IJA/IJN planes was a necessity, an alternative early Showa setting would have been more interesting to me. My other complaint is that is the political thread underlining the episodes is either vaguely defined or incoherent. In episode 2, I got the impression Julia was in favor of some kind of unification of these city-states(?), and air pirate amnesty, and her opponent was Isao. Isao is still her opponent in episode 5, but he's in favor of unification and Julia is opposed to 'national unification'. What? The only thing I can figure to make sense of it is Julia wants to form some kind of alliance with the air pirates through amnesty and oppose Isao's alliance based in Ikesuka. |
| Regarding the aircraft in this episode, I'd hazard to say the gull winged plane was a B7A Ryusei. Methinks the bombers were Ki-67s, known as Hiryu. The type 4 had side blister gun stations and a dorsal gun position too. |

| Always seeing the same pattern in the narrative, it's starting to get bored. This time even the air fights I did not like so much, perhaps because the time available was limited, and the script failed to give enough space to all of them. However, the action in the sky remains the best part of this anime series. |

| It seems pretty clear after this episode that his anime has given up on the pretense of being realistic and decided to just be fun. It works much better with the cast of characters, even though many aspects of the world building conflict with each other. The fights follow the same formula, though they lamp shaded it this time. This anime is a complete mess, and may go down as one of the worst constructed anime I've seen. That said, the snappy dialogue and the zany characters are impressive enough that I'm actually enjoying watching this anime. I guess this is prof that I have terrible taste. |

| Isao is quite the showman. I'm liking him so far, he's just so stupidly entertaining to watch xD Uhm, I was expecting Reona to be more rational since she's the leader and that it also seems she has a lot of experience but in the end, she acted just like Kirie and Chika, quite hypocrite if I'm honest but well, at least she managed to pull herself together once Kirie (of all the girls) told her to calm down. It was an enjoyable episode overall. |

| New guy appeared, and he was good while piloting. Thats really nice to see. We get more battle with serious air forces, equipped with the new 2 bombers, that a nice addition to see more unique army, at every episode. Yet, the battlefield fills another new aircrafts, especially with the new guy, as a politic magician. Interesting to see more of Kotobuki story in the next episode, especially with the new terrain. I feel bored when seeing same city battle over and over again. Need to see more variety of dogfights too because it came dull while seeing their units always won and giving the same strategy vibes. So far still be good, but i need more to progressing the story better. With the characterization, seeing Leona background was nice, my wish become true. Aftermath, the conversation between them became more flawless. Thats some great improvement, there tbh. Ok. Thats it. Go to the next episode. |
