| I guess in the end the witch's soup was just a medicinal food effective against all kinds of physical ailments, I guess I could understand why it said to bring longevity! The toad poison was the best one for me, it sure was stimulating, I should try this soup! It was nice to see them let loose, especially when they sang. Bella must've been a fine intelligent woman, wish we could've seen her. When Elena used them for her book it was pretty funny, only them and Lauren will know. |

| This OVA was a lot more chill than the main show, I enjoyed the journey of Roberto, Hiraga and the newly met Elena discovering each ingredient to the “witch’s soup”, it was nice having a more laid back time solving a mystery than the usual murder and death lol. And in the end the witch’s soup ended up being a kind of medical concoction fusion, it is kind of amazing that the witch Bella somehow made this all those years ago (even if it is fiction). And the final scene of the three of them playing instruments and singing after soup caused them to be in a drunk-like state was a fun ending, it reminded me of a bit from Urusei Yatsura where similar things happen but with an entire classroom of people instead lol, and Elena’s book ended up being a best seller after all, I’m happy for her and for Roberto and Hiraga being in a best selling book lol. And that was it for this single OVA, I’m personally glad it didn’t add more to the story and was instead just a fun stand alone story, if it did I would have been even more hurt that there’s no more of this show, so instead I’m left feeling good about finishing this, I’m definitely gonna miss this series and it will most likely be one I revisit one day because I don’t think I’m gonna forget about how wild it was lol. |
