| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Uwah, been waiting for this episode. Ryuu just seems to disappear when things start rolling. I was starting to get disappointed since the first half seemed to be all chipper, but it got a lot better when Chizu didn't pick the miniskirt and Sawako crying later. I just love the bg music. I'm a little more interested why Tooru's girlfriends did not last. I'm against Joe x Yano |

| Didn't really digg this episode. It was so obvious that the gf would come in eventually to crush her soul! Now, from this I can safely approximate that there is a 99% chance for a "nice boat" ending from either Chizuru or Kurumi. Let there be blood! I'm just bullshit'n. Good episode but expected better. Seemed a little cheesy. |
| The mark on Yano's cheek left over from last week was a nice attention to detail. I don't think the age difference ever crossed Chizuru's mind. Both my daughters had crushes during high school that involved males 5 or 6 years older that had been friends of the family for decades. Since I knew and trusted the guys (for the most part) I wasn't too worried and the guys got across the point that they weren't interested without to much pain. The girls became interested in more attainable males; an outta the fryin' pan into the fire situation for dear ol' Dad. |

| Poor Chizuru :'( I know I should have been, but I totally wasn't expecting a girlfriend to walk in then. I just thought he'd reject her or make some sisterly comment or something, not have a fiance already. Will be interesting to see how the friends/Ryuu handle her next week. Can't wait. Oh, and her flashback was adorable! EDIT: spelling. |

| Saw this epi from a mile away. Still, I'm with the fact that the person who should be saddest is Ryu. After all, the person he loves loves someone else, and for the exact same reason, always saw Ryu as only a brother. In a sense, at least Chizu was given a little false hope to boost her ego. |
| Excellent episode but I hate Ryuu's brother fiancee Katayama because she is a flake no matter who you look at her....she is reserved and shy as seen here=> Only part I cried because of deep emotional bond with her.....Sawako! | This episode was kind of average for me. All they did was show that Ryuu's brother has a fiance, other than that not much happened. Which I think is not good seeing as there are so little amount of episodes left. |

| Okay at the beginning, then it got better. I knew something of this sort would happen. Even though it's a simple one-sided love thing.. It was really sad seeing Sawako cry, but even sadder seeing Chizu maintaining her composure. The score during that scene really matched with the emotion I felt there. Chizu's childhood flashbacks were hilarious. "Tohru! Mushi!" Ryuu didn't get his gift yet, so I wonder what'll happen when we get to that point. Hopefully in the next episode. |

Little example of the quality drop. Apart from that, the episode was predictable but well orchestrated. But that's just what I expected: a linear but effective love story, with drops of "slice of life" from the surrounding people. |

| Ouch...can't imagine how hard it must have been for Chizu to bottle up her feelings after getting a shock like that. I quite like this arc, even if the two main charcters are pushed to the side a little. Wouldn't mind a second season at all if the quality of this anime stays the same- it should continue as long as the manga continues IMO. |

| Has anybody seen the raw version of this ep? At the very end (after the preview for the next episode) they show the seiyuus of kimi ni todoke. It was so cute, especially kazehaya's and sawakos voice actors. Made me smile :) Unfortunately I haven't seen it on the subbed on. When it comes to this episode: I liked it but not as much as when the episode centers around sawako and kazehaya..just can't get enough of those ;) |

| this was a really hard episode to watch. i tried my hardest not to cry SINCE LMFAO, THIS WASN'T EVEN *THAT* SAD IN THE FIRST PLACE. but of course, my emotional side got the best out of me & i cried anyway. 8[ really good episode imo. |

| Oh boy. Despite its complete predictability, this episode was really nice. The way I see it, it was like Sawako was crying for Chizuru. The sadness was almost tangible. I don't blame Tohru for anything, I don't hate his fiance, and I applaud both Yano and Kazehaya for their support to their friends. I believe I would act the same way as Chizuru did in this kind of situation. I feel for her. Edit: Grammar mistake. |

| I didn't like this episode. Nothing really happened, and when this is the case, I just start stewing in all the constants: Sawako being too sweet at an almost retarded level; Shota saying dumb things that contradict what he's seen, heard, and said; Ryu being filthy hot; and art inconsistencies (Ryu look so different from one scene to the next). Since it was obvious from last week that Ryu's brother was engaged, I was really hoping they'd move on to the next thing. Since we don't have Kurumi or Ayane being compelling with their dialogue, there's just no reason to sink into watching Sawako watch Chizu put on some pants, or have Shota ride a bike and say, "I guess he likes her." |
| Liked the episode; quite predictable, and terrible animation and art downgrade but really nice. I like the manga version more, but it came out nice. I don't like Yano and Joe either D: Not a good couple! Sawako's crying moment moved me completely.. poor Chizu, poor Ryuu... It's really sad! |

| I only cried at this cause what Chizu said about seeing Tohru with girlfriends but not expecting it to go further than that reminds me of my current situation, and i'm having an emotional day. XD QUALITY animation. x'D Yano's nightwear was hot.<3 Tohru's fiance hasn't done anything wrong, there's no point in hating her :/ well, I prefer YanoxJoe over YanoxPin, in any case, which is a much more popular pairing. :| Godddd there's so little left, I really don't know how they're planning on wrapping this up unless they make a second series :/ |

It would feel rushed if they tried to condense the whole arc into one episode. I was counting on two or three episodes. Besides, if you feel things are slow, the blame should fall on Sawako and Kazehaya. They're the ones dragging the show anyway, lol. XD (Admittedly, I've long ago grown tired of KazeSawa, so this arc sure is a nice breather from their all their ridiculous pussyfooting.) They could have cut down on the idle moments in this episode, though, but I'm guessing what they're highlighting in this episode is the play on emotions. As the case with the previous episodes, when things become dramatic, the world stops and nothing happens. ~ Hope they make it at least to chaper 34 in manga. I'm really looking forward to see I.G. obviously won't be able to cover the last two. |

| aww poor chizu =[ i knew ryuu's bro would come home with a fiance/wife. this episode wasnt the greatest of the bunch. not much happened. you could some this whole episode up in 1 sentence. the next episode preview looks good. to me it looks like when chizu gives the gift to ryuu but he wants to pay for it and thus drama. |

Well, they hinted at her last week, and she is integral for Chizu getting over Ryu's brother, so she had to be introduced. If they try to make a bigger deal out of her character, then that's where fault may lie. I don't really see why she should make anyone angry. She didn't do anything wrong like Ume. Personally, I like her because she'll only make it easier for Ryu to score. I didn't really like the idea of Ryu having a brother in the first place, but if it's going to develop Chizu and Ryu's relationship naturally, then I'm fine with it. And who's a flake? |
