| Yeah, it's time for the episode with the Umibouzu/Kouka backstory. Episode starts off with Umibouzu taking to Mutsu in the past. It's easy to forget that Mustu's a Yato... at least for me. Meanwhile we have Umibouzu vs. Utsuro in present time. Well, we don't necessarily get to see much of the fight since this is more of a flashback-heavy episode. I like how the flashback dialogues merges in with the fight. And Umibouzu being sarcastic as ever is great. Hah, I totally forgot about that Umibouzu erection gag! But damn, Umibouzu just punched off Utsuro's arm, but it's regenerating as usual. This is the first time we get to properly see and hear Kagura and Kamui's mom. Kinda have mixed feelings about Kugimiya Rie being Kouka's seiyuu since I hear too much Kagura when she talks, but whatever, I guess that's the point. Lol at Umibouzu talking about his orochi. Though I'm not sure if Umibouzu can be considered the strongest thing in the universe, he sure is the most desperate in picking up girls. But the two’s relationship is really nice, and funny too. With Kouka being away from her planet’s Altana source, her health is starting to deteriorate. 2 and a half chapters adapted (Chapters 578, 579 and half of 580), much, much less than it's average 4 chapters per episode pacing. I guess that's expected since the two chapters were quite dialogue heavy. Though I prefer it when Gintama's more faster paced since it keeps my attention more and has me on the edge of my seat, since this is a flashback episode, I guess it's good that Gintama used this as a breather episode. 5/5 |

| During the Utsuro vs. Umibouzu fight, it looked great for most of the time. I think one or two frames of Utsuro looked a bit off, but there not that noticeable. During the backstory, the art was really pretty, especially during the key moments. |

| That young young Mutsu tho. I kinda feel for the budged as they had to re used old actors for both the mom and younger Umibozu. Would have been nicer if they were some other VA's. Other then that pretty good flashback episode for more info on this family. |

There's a reason for why Kouka sounds similar to Kagura, it's not because of budget issues. Anyway, I loved the flashback bit with Umibozu and Kouka, they are easily one of my favorite couples in anime <3 Everything from now till the end are my favorite part of the entire series so I hope anime-onlys enjoy the ride. |
| That was a really nice episode. Finally the story behind Kagura's family and I loved it. Unmibozu is awesome, funny how he crunches his balls every time. XD Loved the relationship between Umibozu and Kouka who is quite a fine looking woman. :3 Was really nice to see how they grew closer and eventually got married. I like the fact that they cast Rie Kugimiya as Kouka, helps relate to Kagura's speech pattern really well. So I guess Kouka literally meant that staying away from her planet would cause health issues. Though I don't get why she alone suffers from this, Is it because of their clan's adaptation to the planet or whatever? I don't exactly get how the Kouka's life became interlinked with the Altana to the point she is unable to survive without it. I guess it'll be explained next episode. The Utsuro vs Umibozu scenes were also really awesome, can't wait to see that fight pickup as well. Young Mutsu was great too. :P |

| How lovely was Umibouzu's flashback :3 However, Kouka was really serious when she had said that she couldn't leave the ruined planet... And Kamui's actual behaviour is related to that. Next episode will clarify pretty much everything with Kagura's family situation. |

| Great episode as usual.Kouka is indeed hot.I was kinda surprised when I heard Kagura's VA but I assume there's a reason behind that.Can't wait for next episode more background for Kamui. Boner jokes were hilarious and Kouka throwing random Kitchen utensils to her husband and son aswell.That..sounded kinda inconvenient. |

| Gintama continues to show me why I love it so much! Such a beautiful episode. The romance was heartwarming and getting to see Kamui happy with his father, mother, and his new born sister was sweet :) Only to end the episode with tragedy :'( The OST fit perfectly for a desolate planet romance :) |

| I didn't expect Kugimiya to play Kagura's mother as well, but it worked really good. And really? People complain that Umibozu didn't have another voice actor? Why the hell would they even change Hayami? It's not that Umibozu is a child here. He makes his voice younger and it works. I don't see why people even considered the change here. |

| From what I understood she couldn't live on another planet for a long time. I loved the part when he was fighting the orochi from his pants,lol. He gets a boner when he is in danger. |

It ain't a plothole at all, and actually you can probably figure out with the info you have from anime by now, but its explained by the next episode anyhow. |

| Anime-only watcher here and I kinda get where this is actually going. Now that was shockingly unbelievable. Sorachi is the best mangaka ever lived. Hands down. 10/5 |

| I feel like it's been a century since last episode xD, more action with the problematic Yato family, Kamui knew what happened all along and now so does Kagura... Lol Kouka was a dangerous wife xD |

| Heartwarming and sad episode! Sorachi only got one episode and he pretty much wrote a better love story than most of those cheesy shoujos. LOL! but Somehow sorachis romances always ends up tragically. Utsuro vs Umi is intense! but LOL! Utsuro's head on assasinating him while Umi is more concerned with his balls! not sure if thats the proper way of clashing with a Super villain like Utsuro! Umi's reaction to his fight is always damn hilarious! Reminds me of his fight with Hosen when he had to take a dump. XD KANKOU, KOUKA, KAMUI & KAGURA! ALL their name starts with a K! I REALLY LOVE THIS MONSTER FAMILY SO MUCH! Young blushy Umi is so adorable! and I get where kagura's vulgar attitude comes from (well aside from gin).  "Why don't we forget about this Orochi and go take out the Orochi in my pants" still is the best gintama pick up line! Kamui's calm facade was just like his mom and its obvious that he has mother complex. I can see why he hates his father. Ever since the yoshiwara arc I always thought that there is a reason why he turned out to be a blood thirsty beast! Speaking of mommy, she sure is a real babe! I'm also quite surprise to hear Rie's voice, I expected a bit more seductive low pitched but a mature kagura voice is not bad at all |

| Kouka is not only beautiful but also badass and classy af! I love how strong all the Gintama girls are, and the guys are just complete fumbling idiots around them. Seeing Umibozu trying to court Kouka was just such an accurate depiction of guys trying to woo girls they like irl, I swear. The line, "Why don't we get some coffee?" has never sounded so funny XD I also love how she could kick her husband's ass and how Umibozu admits that the strongest creature of all is indeed the legendary wife!! So I'm guessing Kouka literally cannot live anywhere but Kouan- her body can't survive on earth...which means she left her home planet knowing what was going to happen, but she still wanted to be with Umibozu against all odds. My feels train sense is tingling ;-; Also, young Umibozu was ridiculously handsome...he kinda looks like Hijikata with timeskip Gintoki's hair lmao- he and Kouka make a really gorgeous couple XD |

| So sad this season is just 12 episodes, considering how FUCKING AWESOME it's been so far. If previous seasons deserved the 10/10 in my opinion, this one just got into 11/10 levels. BTW, I'd never forget about this moment :') |

| The flashback and Kouka's debut was the best thing this episode, the fight scene was great as well. Kanko, Vegeta, Goku; the strongest men.... next to their wives. |

| What a rollercoaster of emotions! Great episode to watch on my birthday! At times I was hyped, at times I was laughing heaps, towards the end tears were falling and at the end I was shocked by the sudden twist. Umibouzu is too damn good! Younger him is protagonist material. |
