| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Holy shit, that scene with between Almiria and McGillis was very tense. Was not expecting her to almost take her life. The storytelling about war children is also interesting. I feel like the pacing slowed down a bit for this show though. The relationship between McGillis and Orga got pretty tense, kinda expected with what Orga and his group went through. Atra and her confessions :o |

| pretty weird to see tekkadan so insignificant. mcgills basically just set a dog fight between arianhord and tekkadan and probably want a double K.O so he can clean up everything later on. and orga agreed just like that? wtf and what did they do to gundam vidar? the design was already very cool, why revert it to ugly kimaris?????? |

| Great episode. Pretty much buildup for the final fight but it was still great. I knew Gjallarhorn's cooperation wouldn't come so easily, even if Fareed piloted Bael. Rustal's conversation with Iok was actually pretty meaningful with the whole contrast of how despite Iok's stupidity people still follow him and how Fareed despite being so smart had to rely on a legacy to attempt to gain power and support. That Almiria and Fareed scene was really intense. I actually thought Fareed let her die for a second after I heard the sound effect cause I felt he was letting the whole power and legacy thing goto his head, I'm glad he stopped her. Then again, given how he spoke to Orga, I don't think I was wrong in saying he is letting this power get to him. Orga's smack probably brought him to his senses. Mika hugging Atra was really sweet. :) Tekkadan and McGillis VS The Arianrhod Fleet. So it begins, The Final Epoch! These final episodes are gonna be a blast. :D |

| Kudelia has been irrelevant for so long. This episode is basically screaming that she will be important after the "last battle". Also McGillis failing to seize control of the remaining non-Arianrhod fleet is kinda unexpected. |

| Slow episode. Pretty good though. Tekkadan finally questions the decision to fight and the plan is basically become king of mars and stop fighting. I still wonder what will have Tekkadan turning against McGillis? With Almiria on the verge of suicide, Macky's private life would be fucked up if he somehow doesn't die by the end, they're setting up McGillis to be destroyed by his ambitions after all. Looking forward to the final 6 episodes. |

It wouldn't have made sense for her to stay with Tekkadan though, but they could have made her more relevant. She might get some role in the last episodes though, maybe just to cry at Mikazuki's grave or something. |
| Nobliss, Kudelia's financial backer who still controls her like his puppet, still has yet to make a move. If the last battle concludes in 2-3 episodes and then that fat ass shows up, then I think Kudelia will once again have more relevance in the remaining episodes. |

| Yeah it kind of feels like kudelia is getting written out of the story, like we all know this wont be the final battle unless they drag this one fight out for 7 episodes so hopefully after this fight (which im anticipating being 2 episodes but could maybe be 3) she will do more. That scene with atra and mika was so long coming and felt really great for both characters to see especially since they have pretty subtly or at least low key built up mika's feelings of care towards her the entire show with the bracelet and so forth. Now the question is, is this just another death flag for mika or is this one for atra. Also judging by the preview, im just going to go on a whim and say RIP shino |

| Still miss the action-packed Gundam like Gundam 00. This IBO seems the odd one, more melancholic and plot-focused. Well, next episode will have more action but I want overblown battles that gripe me to my chair xD |

| Lets see..... Welp I guess we can start off with what I already said last thread. McGillis' intentions and motivations for this fight still make no sense for me. So he intends to become the next emperor of Gjallarhorn, and instigates a civil war between his loyal supporters and Rustal's fleet in order to achieve this. His expectations are childish to say the least, I was expecting the Council to sit on neutrality here (who would want to take sides when either outcome would be possible anyway? That's just politics..), so why the heck would McGillis expect anything else is beyond me. Of course, he could have actually confined all the heads and took over their troops anyway, I doubt many of the people under the council heads would openly complain... To me, it just seems stupid how McGillis is going "Oh so you guys don't wanna join me in taking out Rustal? Sure no probs. We're outnumbered 2 to 1 without you, but sure just go chill on the sidelines". I don't see how he couldn't have had any counter measures for this situation, nor how he could not have foreseen and planned ahead for such a route either.. The man's becoming dumber and dumber in my eyes to be honest, and that's not a good thing. As I said before, Tekkadan are in this fight with no other reason to be apart from promises made by Orga to Fareed for their help last season. Heck, they're laying out their entire organization on the line just for a slim chance that they might be able to live long enough to be rewarded for their efforts. This is nowhere a fair deal here. If it weren't for their Tekkadan "creed", I would expect Orga to book it the heck outta there in a flash. Tekkadan is all about the family, and right now they're pretty much riding out the entire family to die together. Wonder what the people who were disagreeing with my views last week think now. Kudelia may yet be an important piece to the entire show after the war, but somehow I can see Tekkadan being completely wiped out. There were so many death flags being raised, most of Tekkadan, Mika, Eugene, Dean... even Merribit's boyfriend Nadi. I just don't see many of the boys getting out of this conflict alive right now, and it's pretty damn depressing to think about.... |

| Everyone has a deathflag now except Iok... FUCK!!! I am serious even Kudelia can die by a heart attack if Mikazuki dies but Iok has one of the strongest plot armors I have ever seen. Okada is trolling me for sure. |
| Can someone tell me how McGillis able to locate Bael? Since Bael is legendary, shouldn't it be stored in secret facility and not known to anyone? |

| Ohhhhh gawd I'm hyped. Will all 6 of the last episodes of this season be devoted to the last battle. My final ships : Gali X Julia : Likely one of them will die. Mikazuki X Atra & Kudelia : Harem for Mika. Mika may just die through. McGillis X His Young Wife-To-Be : Sure why not. McGillis is likely gonna die through. Nadi Yukinojo Kassapa (Mechanic Dude) X Merribit Stapleton : I originally shipped Ms.Merribit with Orga but these two must live on because their aren't fighting. |
| After watching that episode I feel the same way that Atra does because since everyone is saying it's the last battle it's gonna end up with people that i'm attached to possibly getting killed :(, feels like they are going to lose the fight and end up having to run away but maybe I am just being a pessimist. The flags have been raised. I loved the scenes between Almiria and McGillis which were very touching personally and unexpected since I didn't think McGillis would care so much for Almiria or maybe he is still stringing her along since Gaelio is still alive; using her as bait etc. I'm also curious when Julietta will make an appearance. I think that she will end up killing Delmas or something like that which will make a secondary fight happen between Her and Akihiro, and if we see Rustal end up piloting a frame, it might end up Rustal vs McGillis, Akihiro vs Julietta and Mikazuki vs Gaelio. Kind of flawed because I don't see Gaelio fighting someone else than McGillis but if the battle ends up skewing in Orga's advantage, Rustal will need to end up going out into battle against Bael. Thoughts? |

| McGillis must really adore his lolis, as he gave Isurugi a seriously evil glance as he requested McGillis's attention while he was embracing Almiria... Not everything goes according to McGillis's plans, Enza's shock as he found out the other members of the Seven Stars won't be backing them up was priceless. A spokesperson for a revolution should have a bit more backbone... As the top brass chooses to remain neutral, the other participants face the consequences. Perhaps this underlines the fact that even a symbol as powerful as Gundam Bael cannot win wars, not alone. Gaelio and Julietta also had their moments. Perhaps they could end up together if the former settles his vendetta and the latter comes to term with her self. Regarding Arianrhod, I hope someone could spare a Dainsleif round for penetrating Iok's plot armour... Although, maybe Elion finally managed to set him straight? I'm looking forward to seeing the reincarnation of Gundam Kimaris, the next episode will be glorious! |

| Thank you for reminding me why I kinda hate this seasons gundam. Its all so epic, but why would you introduce Kudelia like the most important character of the universe and then make her sit behing a desk for the whole second season?! This is a biiiig minus for the series in general. I will definitely rewatch everything when its over, but I hope for something in the last 6 episodes. Also I need the piano cover of the main theme that played in the middle of the episode. It was epic. McGillis might get the lelouch ending. Would surely fit his character. I do want him to be a good person in the end. |

| Really liked the scene between Almiria and McGillis, it felt like he actually liked her and not just using her like how it usually seems. Also when Orga punched him, oooh that felt so good after he said that some causalities are unavoidable, definitely deserved Oh and by the way, am I the only one who thinks that they are going to lose this battle so badly because I feel like McGillis is the villain of this entire arc and it will end by him dying but that also means that Tekkadan will lose which sucks. |
| nice setup to whats to come basically the calm before the storm and plus finally Atra is making her move for Mikazuki as it was always annoying how she would try to bring up Kudelia so glad that Kudelia finally decided to back off but yeah these last few eps are gonna be crazy though looking forward to see how it all ends |

| Bael's ideological grip over Gjallarhorn seems a bit contradictory. On the one hand they respect its position enough to recognise it and stand down, but on the other not enough to do as it decrees? As far as a Deus Ex Machina plot device goes, pretty weak to be honest. Perhaps there's something else waiting in the next few episodes? Gaelio seems a changed man. I like the new wild hair. I was hoping that he would tell Julieta that she was doing the wrong thing by following in Ein's footsteps, but he copped out last minute to save Rustal face I guess. Ideally they both get out of the whole Gjallarhorn power clash before they're killed by McGillis or Tekkadan, but I have a feeling they're both going to bite the dust before the end of the series. I mention the Almiria incident in the spoiler tagged rant below. Tekkadan may not betray someone they allied with, but what if they are betrayed in turn? Will they act then? They'd better... I feel like they've completely ignored Naze's words with this "one last battle" battle chant. They're not looking at what they should be fighting for, but merely feeling that they need to fight. Kudelia feels underused this season. Good to see Atra and Mikazuki get a moment. The fact that he didn't actually reciprocate seems suspect. Death flag for Atra? It's a non-issue now that he possesses the Bael. As for Almiria, I think the entire purpose of that scene was to show how much he cares for Almiria, even if it is in a twisted way. He could have framed anyone to be honest. He framed Gaelio solely because Okada wanted a grudge match between them in season 2; that's not a reasonable in-universe explanation imo. I just can't believe that he cares about Almiria, sorry, as I've mentioned above. This is no Lalah/Char. |
