So it was Kuroda who was behind everything, interesting turn of events (imo). And it looks like the story will get better now (since Mai is going to work for Shibuya) =)

I thought the resolution was too predictable, we all knew it was going to be her from the beginning! I started to think at one point that it seemed even too obvious! Nonetheless, I did enjoy the episode.

I wonder why Naru hired Mai? He seemed a bit annoyed with her at first.

That was a terrible revelation to a mystery story. The explanation to the crap moving around is that the girl has psychic powers? That is such a cop-out. There's nothing intellectually stimulating about this so far.

I kinda agree with you. Not a great way to start off a show but it held my attention so I'll most likely continue.

this anime has a pretty good dub :)

i'm a sub type of guy(95% of the series i watched were subbed),but i might give the dub a chance :)

it's a bit boring,but i think it'll get better...the doll house :D

i don't think it'll be better than Ghost Stories though

5/5 for the ep

"Evil Spirits Everywhere" was not a bad arc, I enjoy it.
But starting to watch the anime I expected to see there more horror. ^_^

People need to STFU and realize that this was only meant to be an introductory arc. Though, I do agree that it was all very predictable I'm not going to bitch to much when the series has only reached the 3 episode mark.

The ending was pretty obvious but I don't think in a bad way. However I kind of wish they'd made an example of Kuroda, maybe not in front of the whole school but for some of them in the group to be a lot more angry at her. Especially Ayako who was purposely trapped by Kuroda. However I agree that the principal should know everything, considering he got hurt and he's paying good money to learn the truth.

On a whole I'm pretty happy Mai is going to be working for Naru, it's a simple but acceptable way to lead onto more episodes.

This. Even the conclusion from the detective case in Suzumiya Haruhi wasn't as obvious. Especially for me, this 3rd episode was extremely uninteresting thing to watch, I hope the next episodes are gonna catch my attention better.

I'm gonna watch Mushishi now.

The conclusion was pretty interesting, although a bit obvious. By the way, I am loving the characters, especially Mai, she is probably the most charismatic protagonist I've seen in a long time. Naru-chan and John are cool too.

Not the most mindblowing introduction I've seen. I've heard good things about this series though, so I'm going to keep watching a little longer.

I like the lead character very much. She's got a spunky personality without being too over the top.

So. Cheesy. Ono really likes that form of dramatic irony, lel. While the culprit being more or less obvious is a nice tribute to older mystery tales (in them, the fun is not so much finding the answer as experiencing the steps toward it), how the culprit managed these feats was quite heavy-handed. A telekinetic psychic? Really, Ghost Hunt? You spent half the time arguing whether or not spirits even existed in the cast, and then you throw a curve ball like that in its ending.

Not bad, not super good as I would have expected it. 3.5/5 I enjoy the humor here and there but it kind of ruins the mood sometimes. Liking the interesting cast. Hope they'll all work together like a team and mind blow the audience. Haha. Will keep watching.

I knew the megane chick was suspicious when I first saw her.

Yeah this. I didn't appreciate the final result to be like that. They waste three episodes, most of it being the exorcists trying to exorcise and failing at doing so while it was never a ghost in the first place.

Yeah obvious and predictable.. but the way its carried out was great.
Hehhe am liking Mai.. a little romance wouldn't hurt.
Ayako: "Hmm you're quite the feminist.. do you have a girlfriend ?
Naru: "I'm not sure I understand the point of your question."
Damn I like the bits of humor here and there. HAHAHA.

Absolutely facepalm episode. Whatever potential was built up was flushed out. They are trying too hard to make Naru the lead. And whats with his gross lower eyelashes? Reminds me of Ganju. Lets see if Doll's House can keep me hooked.

It definitely was pretty obvious but I still thought it was a pretty fun arc. I hear that it gets really good towards the end so that's enough for me to watch the next arc right now.

Mai was a bit more tolerable this episode mainly because she wasn't TELLING EVERYONE TO SHUT UP.

Mai's lady boner is showing...

Good episode though I hope we learn more about the other characters.

7/10 for this arc

well, it was only the first mystery - and it was pretty good, despite how obvious its resolution was. the next case sounds pretty interesting, but i don't know how well I'm gonna take it since dolls scare the living crap out of me.
overall i give the first case a 7.3/10

The mystery wasn't too mysterious, but it was a nice way of introducing the characters. I like how the show isn't always full of suspense. Excited to see how this anime unfolds! I hope Mai doesn't become too obsessed with Naru, since it's only episode 3.

Although it was an introductory arc, I thoroughly enjoyed it. This series realy gets me excited to see more, and low amount of real danger from those spirits actualy makes it more creepy and more intellectual, than with "survival mode" series. I was surprised of supernatural powers being admitted matter of factly, but glad at the same time, that there actualy was "psychokinesis" involved, Better than if the series was purely mythbusting or mystical. At this point I can feel the writing is good, so I expect a solid series.

Shibuya reminds me strongly of Tachibana Sakon and the series share a bit of atmospere, but here is more characters. I don't get why people complain, there are only 7 and they don't do much on screen so there is less action than from 1-2 in usual series.

Ohhhhh... Well, that isn't what I expected. I mean, it was obvious that Kuroda-san was behind it, but I thought that she was somekind of necromancer or something. I kinda feel bad for her :|
Sure, she wasted all of their time, but everyone kept looking at her like trash. She had social anxiety, and that can really hurt someone soul. I know it, since I suffered from it.

Hmmm...I hope there are some stortylines with actual ghosts and whatnot. It's going to be pretty disappointing if the ghost always turns out to be scientifically explainable. (like on Scooby-Doo...never any real ghosts...)

Watching for the first time, and personally I get the feeling that Mai's the one with psychic powers who made the supernatural events happen, and poor Kuroda has been misled into thinking she's special and will try practicing telekinesis for the rest of her entire life with no results...

It was kind of a letdown to find out that glasses girl really was the attention-seeking fraud who was behind all of this but at least the rather anticlimactic outcome didn't give us any reason to see her shit-eating grin. She's also a latent psychic so that gives me hope that there'll be some real trouble coming soon.

Paranormal investigations and found footage are pretty much my least favorite subgenres in horror but I'm still looking forward to seeing actual ghosts soon since this is an anime, after all~

I honestly think that the romance takes away from the show, if I'm being honest. Though it's an interesting premise. It kind of reminds me of Evil. You have the person who believes in ghosts and the scientist.
