| ok this is random but the VERY first thing I was reminded of from the ending of this episode was the part in code geass episode 1 when that capsule opens and CC is trapped inside hahaha....gotta love how anime girls are so often trapped in some kind of container in these kinds of shows. Didn't that happen in TTGL as well, with Nia? |

| Pretty decent first episode. Sets up the arena and introduces the players. It gave me the same kind of feel as series like Trigun, Gun & Sword or a less sophisticated budget Bebop. And a wonderful ED by the great Akino Arai. |

| Gonna finally complete the trifecta. Cowboy Bebop. Trigun. Outlaw Star. Love the artstyle and the action is damn good so far. |
| this episode shows some promise. the characters seem entertaining enough, i like the art style and thought the action was damn good. the whole magic thing caught me off guard (didn't expect it in the space western setting they've got going on) but i can dig it. definitely interested to see where the rest of this anime goes. |

| It's great that I'm finally rewatching one of my favorites. What really stands out is how much difference 20 years can make. The world and anime have both changed greatly since then. |

| I'm excited to finally watch this series in full. When I saw it back on Toonami, I don't remember seeing it from the beginning, though this episode was very familiar. The last scene really brings back memories and a sense of mystery. |
