Too. Short.
Simple as that, it was still very good but man would this be amazing if it was full length.
Really felt like a Hosoda movie and you can't go wrong with that.
Studio Colorido is looking really good and I can't wait for more stuff from them, hopefully we get a full length movie from them sometime.
That ED too, sasuga Galileo Galilei.

There were a lot of inconsistencies wit the overall plot. Why does the earth need to be terraformed when it's already habitable (albeit on the decline)? Do that shit on Mars. Unless the earth being "reborn" means starting from scratch before humans started fucking it up. Also, why does it end with it all on a happy note, when the alien girl didn't accomplish her mission (that she may have been forced into)? Felt like they adapted a one-shot from a newbie mangaka.

When she said "you should run away from here as far as you can." I was like, "Bitch, we're on a fucking [/i]island[/i] in the middle of a typhoon! Or did you not see that on your way crash-landing here?"

Bromance? Nah. There was definitely some BL moments throughout this whole thing. When Saijo grabbed Azuma's arm near the end there... "I want to know how you feel...Azuma." I burst out laughing.

Good on them for casting real middle school-aged VA for the heroine I guess.

Wow, that was pretty good.

The phenomenal animation, amazing soundtrack, beautiful design and cinematography greatly made up for the mediocre story.

Studio Colorido, huh? I will look forward to more of their works.

What the Hell?! He didn't try to stop her from leaving?

You're assuming the earth is compatible with whatever things sent her. I would suspect Mars simply doesn't fit the bill (for one - it's far to small to keep an atmosphere). I assume, since she was stealing cloths at the beginning, that she was "altered" after arrival to allow her to live in the Earth's atmosphere so she could do her job (she wasn't meant to survive after her work was done anyway). And she didn't crash land - she had been busy drilling that hole.

The main problem was that was a 90 minute story squashed into 25 minutes. Yes, it could have been better, but not in 25 minutes - there was simply to much going on.

Aside from the decent (typhoon) animation and the soundtracks, that was completely lacklustre. Both the "drama" and the plot were cheap; not to mention the characters were plain bland. The moment Azuma broke the rest of the collar with his baseball pitch (and Shounen-ish scream) was hilarious though! Repeated that scene like 6 times.

The BL vibes were pretty strong too. "You don't understand how I feel!" *brief pause* "I want to understand... I want to know how you feel." LOL!

Finished watching it just now.

So her name is Noruda but that's an obvious.
I liked the atmospheric setting found some of the weather movements to be quite realistic and decorated well. The soundtrack and body movements were also done well. Story felt a bit lacking imo as some people mentioned, short for a movie. I wish they gave more characterization to Noruda.

This could actually have potential to become a TV series with the premise or at least a longer movie. (at least 1+ hour imo). Still, not too shabby I guess.

Well this was actually quite lovely, a bit short for a movie making the overall story/char dev lacking but in general I really loved the overall setting! Quite lovely done I must say, but I sure would've loved a full length movie of this story with a bit more in depth of the characters or with why she was sent to terraform the Earth.

Well. Animation and music-wise it was great. Chara design were also good. Dunno about those inexperienced seiyuu but even that would be ok as their voices fit those three well. But the movie really felt too shallow, like it was the last part of 90 minutes film. All character motives and reason why she was there were horribly unexplored.

And that also applies to question - WHY? Why someone from space wanted to terraform the Earth? Why they sent a girl to do it (unwillingly)? Why didn't she stayed with them after it all ended? (would be a better conclusion I think).

Was it everything just metaphor of actual typhoon? Was she destined to see him to get those two back together? Or was this some variant of environmental theme?

Questions, questions... Sadly, the movie as much it had the potential to be good don't answer those questions at all. It all felt like a story 'How to save a world in fifteen minutes'. And that's the shame.

6/10 For superb animation, music and mood.

Not what I was expecting after watching five of Studio Colorido works before this. Hiroyasu Ishida and Youjirou Arai had a very distinct animation style going that was fantastic. The animation here was still good, but the design was too reminiscent of current works already in existence. I'd prefer Arai's Ghibli style that is less frequently seen. Instead they choose to conform in a more modern design and smash a story together that doesn't work with the time slot. Ishida was able to express much more in the 10 mins of Rain Town and that show didn't even have any dialogue. Everything about this was very typical yet enjoyable. I suppose it still rates as a 7 for it's production values. I will continue to look forward to Studio Colorido's work and plan on supporting them through purchase of their products. Still have hope that they will become a strong studio and eventually put out a full length feature film or a single/double cour original series. And when they do I hope they revert their roles back, with Ishida doing the directing and Arai doing the animating.

Studio Colorido's plotless shorts are better than this :( The plot in this was simply not very interesting, most likely because of the writing and the dialogue. However I did enjoy the animation, as I do with any of Studio Colorido's works. The climax was the better part in the movie, excluding the nice and relaxing ending with Galileo Galilei (even though that wasn't animated). Hopefully they improve in their next project.

LOLWAT

The story they were telling at the credits was WAY more interesting than ANY of the events I have just witnessed.

What the fuck happened!?
I came in expecting a nasty typhoon to wreck shit up while students do their best to simply survive. It's a very expected storyline but instead, it was SOME FANTASY SCI-FI SHIT!?!?

wwWWWWHAAAAT???

WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE PICKED ONE?????? TYPHOON STORY, OR SCI-FI STORY
The ship of Noruda was fucking cool. There was a WHOLE LOT OF UNUSED POTENTIAL for a sci-fi story set in space.

Garbageous.

I also felt homo.

The art and the animation were gorgeous. Nice ending song.
But WTF, the story was weird. There is an alien girl who uses a starship. This girl is electrocuted and she said a lot of weird things to Azuma, but it's totally normal for him. Is he never surprised ?

I really love the voice acting and the whole Ghibli/Uki Atsuya feel. The only thing that stopped this being as good as classic Ghibli is the length/pacing and the outrageously weakly written and almost chuuni female main. Whole space thing alien doesn't complement the story at all ): Huge missed opportunity to incorporate island mythologies and the natural world through the typhoon, definitely need less technology orientated supernatural elements... They also could have avoided that moe cliché of pale skinny out-of-it girl who doesn't know what a banana is ):

Always good to see more of Studio Colorido though.

A fairly lackluster movie all around.

While it had some appealing visuals and promising young seiyuu, the plot itself, however short it may have been, was lacking considerably. In all fairness though, it might work as a longer movie if given more time to flesh out the characters.

I felt like it was a waste of time... The animation was great and loved the angles of the "camera", but the story is not interesting enough to make me watch it with all my attention.

The only part my ears like is the ED. And I didn't like the MC's voice, his panting was getting on my nerves.

speaking of him, he and his friend's VC suck...-_- like really bad.

this whole episode looks like it was done in key, which is nice. that part when akuma was running to the gym was BEAUTIFUL.

Definitely too short. It could've been way more better if it was longer than just 27 minutes. Studio looks promising somehow though, definitely watching out for this one. Animation and atmosphere setting were quite superb. Music was decent, Galileo Galilei was great. 7/10. Fantastic animation and visuals, and overall not too shabby in the end.

Competing with Shinkai for cloud-porn?

It's certainly too short to contain the sci-fi fantasy story it's trying to tell, but I don't know if being longer would actually help since it's pretty schlocky. I guess execution counts for nearly everything though and that's what suffered from the short running-time.

Why was the alien girl wearing a school uniform?

How can you terraform a planet that already has an existing atmosphere and life forms? Hmm...

Anyways,
Pros: nice character design; gorgeous artwork and animation; beautiful ED; sounded like actual children/teens voiced characters.

Cons: too short to actually tell a real story; should have been few OVAs or a feature length film.

"It'd been far better if it was longer"
Yeah, but the movie is like this, full stop. You can't change it, you can only judge what is done, and let me tell you, what had been done is very good. The plot is great and the characters are well developed, and even though we don't get much explanation it keeps you totally hooked to the screen to see what will happen next.
The drawing and animation are really cool, I specially like the colours and art style they used!

To be honest, I think the idea was well done for a 25 min movie, and possibly it would have been ruined by doing a series. It was fantasy, nature and friendship all mixed together to make you feel something inside you. I think this was simply marvelous.
