Welp so that robot got targeted by a sniper during the parade. Lol.

I find it still hard to trust Chenfa Lou with all the shit that has been happening.
As for the development of this episode, it felt more like a buildup. Not a fan of Ibuki's personality tbh with his logic of getting some vengeance. And oh boy, the Red Dragon...

Good God Eiha is still in the game. If she got killed off by that stupid sacrificial mechanism, this show would've turned even more terrible.

Anyways, Ibuki managed to negotiate with Gakusho and avoided an impending war. Undead merchant set him up neatly. Now, disclose the message from the Red Dragon already.

Happy with the way the conflict with Gakusho played out. I probably woulda dropped this had Ibuki sacrificed her to kill Gakusho. I'm still not really too interested in this world, but I'll keep going...

There's no reason to sacrifice Eykha to use the Red Dragon... Or is Eykha's beast seriously that useless??

When there's a powerless MC, why use a power that requires a 1-for-1 comrade sacrifice? He should surround himself with people who are able to fight. C'mon Prince Arslan got his shit straight.

Hmm, Ibuki managed to spare Eiha's life, that's a surprise. I had a feeling no one would die this episode.

But in all seriousness, the MC is practically useless, except the fact that he can only use the dragon's power. I cringe every moment when he's about to make a decision.

Same here. Although from that ending picture I get the feeling most main characters will end up dying by the end of the show, which is not particularly that exciting.

Well this was more of a buildup for next episode, so it was expected that there wasn't any action or anything like that. Although this anime isn't really that good to me, it's still keeping me interested enough that I want to see what will happen in the next episode
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

What was Rakusho doing behind the curtain before one of her attendants told her what was happening? Enjoying some royal assets? :X

This isn't as strong as the last episode, but it's still better than previous weeks and the final act alone makes up for an overall 'okay' episode. It keeps its card close by not killing Eiha/Ehyka so soon. Give me meaningful dynamics first, and then brutallykindly rip them away. So that's two weeks in a row the show's been kinda solid. One more week of this and I can finally say it's found its footing. Hopefully.

I really want to know whowhat Rakusho was doing behind the curtain though

Had Eiha been killed by Ibuki, this would've been the last straw.

The buildup was strong in this episode lol

The highlights were definitely Lou (As always) and Narita's character......The events of this episode were essentially orchestrated by them both and I must say that their individual personalities made it that much more worth while

I'm glad that Ibuki decided not to potentially kill Eiha and actually yet again stuck to his ideals and came up with a logical solution to the situation at hand.....Pretty interesting how Narita's planned all of this out and how both opposing countries are now occupying the city

Overall it was a good episode and I'm excited to find out more about this blonde girl that is with Swallow =o

Why is saber here? Episode 4 was a lot better and the series is getting good now but I wanted the edge to continue with ibuki killing ehkya for the lol'z. Thinking about it in original context, the red dragon power is great for writing out players who quit. Also trust gen for wanting max edge factor. Lou is a parody of gen himself and a way to unveil his true desire to fuck nasu

Anime is good, fucking deal with it.

Yeah so at first I thought people were too harsh on that series.
But now I have to think what is the point of this all. It seems to be all over the place.
There is no reasonable progression in the story, I really do not know what I'm actually watching. It's just so.. weird. No character here is really interesting unlike in other shows this season. Maybe my English is too weak to grasp the situation.. but more so I would blame the direction, which makes it so confusing. The dialogues seem so random, so pointless.. what is this all about?! Sorry, I am repeating myself, but as it stands this is a major disappointment, which I would have not expected from Silver Link.

Grateful that starting tomorrow there's another Kaleid season... I wished they would have just spent those resources from this show for a two cour Fate season... but honestly who really understands the actions taken by this industry... I'll never understand it, but that's another topic and I'm in no position to rate this shit.

Really that marker at the end on Eiha is not something I want to see after this episode where I thought she would die. As someone above wrote, the show takes death somewhat lightly if it had gone though with killing off Eiha which it didn't. Glad Ibuki try to rationalize a better solution. Next episode should be more about the Red Dragon told by Eiha at least I hope it is and get closer to finding out the end details.

Every time I come back to this and start the episode I feel like I've skipped the week before or something. Not too fond of the events and interactions going on, but it's managing to keep my interest. I wish Ibuki would have killed Eiha just to make up for the unnecessary time he's wasted thinking about "friendship" so far.

Well that other woman seemed to have pissed her pants when she realised she might be about to get killed.

In defense of Eiha, it's probably a few reasons why she jumps on the death bandwagon:
1) She owed Ibuki's sister and swore to protect Ibuki
2) She seems to have a gentle heart in the first place and doesn't want the slaughter of the people in that city
3) She probably suffers inside because she is bound to a beast/monster by a cord; and I'm not sure how it works, I imagine if the cord breaks or one of them dies, then the whole bounded-one dies.

Personally this ep is the best so far, with all the thing that Narita's character and Lou did. At least they managed to resolve this one without killing.

Take death lightly? When? That Gakusho was so scared that shw would be killed, Ibuki tried to not kill anyone, or maybe you are refering to Eiha? Probably she thinks that eay necause she won't live pass 16 anyway, so she probably doesn't care she gonna live for another 6 years or not. She isn't confident in her power because she was defeated by that general in ep 2, so she thinks Ibuki would get a better chance here. Though, saying it without trying first is stupid of her.

Ibuki is growing a little in me, since he sticks with his ideal, even though it isn't the best one, until the end, and because of that he was able to think logically. I don't like it that the anime makes him seem so useless, because I remember he could use magic in the original game.

I was planing to drop this after ep 2 but manage to watch ep 3 yesterday because nothing to do, and it was surprisingly pleasant. I started researching info and yes, 2 first episodes didn't even exist in the original game. What a waste of time, they could show us the world a little more, because it's more interesting in visual more than reading those fast paragraphs in the middle of the ep!

Yes, Ibuki's power of killing one to save one isn't in original too. Thanks god! I read all 9 chapters and they were funny and good!

People criticize this series a lot maybe because they expected a lot? Since it did say that it was by Gen, Nasu, Narita.

Another great episode.

Really loved how they actually used Ibuki's curse to their advantage in negotiation and how the situation played out , even if Ibuki was somehow manipulated into that situation.

The episode also helped to paint the better picture of the political landscape and to create the stand-still between nation going even closer to the original story setting and explaining that change. For me I think this change works for the better.

At the same time it seems that now we are bound to learn more about Red Dragon's insanity and what started this whole mess in the first place. Bound to be interesting.

Agreed. It is mostly because its cool to hate new things and because of brainwashing by a certain "reviewer". Because obviously if some idiot who can't form a coherent sentence for 14 minutes in most of his reviews claimed this is "awful show and badly paced show", it must be true!

Lou became somewhat annoyed when she figured that no blood was wasted.

To be fair, out of all of that guys videos, Chaos Dragon is pretty much one of the only few cases where he put out a specific video shitting on the show and advising people to not watch it.

Interesting buildup, but we still have no clue as to why the Red Dragon went nuts and decided to bash on those poor little puny humans.

Finding it a bit strange how Gakushou found out who actually killed Kokaku, and yet doesn't seem all that angered at Ibuki. That said, it seems like she is actually smart enough to read the situation and to take advantage of it.
Loved her defensive capabilities, and she's a pretty good shot too.

No one dies, which is a deviation from the norm, and a welcome one at that (it'd get way too repetitive if that happened again).

Looking forward to more of Eiha's back story. I'm guessing that she'll be sacrificed eventually, once she spills her story out.
