| Xellos' magic talismans sound like they're pretty amazing artifacts so I'm suspicious of why he gave them to Lina so easily.Especially, since he's such a shifty and untrustworthy guy. P.S. Did Xellos just kill a monster from the Astral Plane with just a stick through the stomach?? I Thought magic and physical attacks don't work on them. Yup somethings definitely up with Xellos, he's probably a monster too. |

| Wow. I’m honestly surprised and impressed that Xellos actually stood by what he said and sold those artifacts. It... actually makes me want to trust him more. I actually kind of like his friendly personality anyway. Supposing he is a villain, which I do still think is likely due to the structure of the story, his motivations are definitely more complex than shallow antagonism. If he wanted to kill Lina or something along those lines he could easily have done so here. My guess is that he thinks Lina’s group is the best way to track down Claire Bible manuscripts, meaning it wouldn’t be in his interests to actively oppose them unless a manuscript shows up. I actually kind of wonder it Xellos has a connection to one of the other sages. Great episode, in any case. |
| Too bad that Lina hasn't gotten her powers back, but at least she got the talismen from Xellos and the part about the Claire Bible seemed also interesting. Really nice episode overall, hope Lina will get a power up during this arc. @Rei366 Yeah, it was pretty much the non plus ultra in terms of power, yet also dangerous. I'm rather hoping for something more efficient. |

| @FMmatron Due to the very nature of the Giga Slave, Lina will NEVER get something beyond this "spell" in terms of power, if that's what you mean by power-up. (that's actually one of the things I liked in the magic system, despite the way the anime exaggerated the power and lack of control of the Dragon Slave/Slayers and Giga Slave) FMmatron said: I'm rather hoping for something more efficient. Come on, there's nothing more efficient than calling upon God to erase its own creation ! ;) (add to that the thrill of the head-or-tail throw every time you cast it, this should have become a staple of any RPG table XD) @mozgow In some ways, yes. In some others, no. I admit it's a decent "replacement". |

| @Rei366 What about Ragna Blade? Isn't it more efficient? It's not as powerful as Giga Slave, but Lina has more control over it. And it can cut through dimensions. |

What the hell is wrong with Seyruun horses? I thought Prince Phil's white horse at the end of Season 1 was weird, running on two hooves while fleeing, this one can sit like a dog while waving goodbye with a white kerchief when sent home all by itself. LOL Very intelligent, and emphatic.  Ah I clearly remembered those 4 talismans in future episodes or maybe that was the next seasons but I've forgotten they were purchased from Xellos after watching this 2 decades ago. As long as she can do well what her grandfather taught her then I guess she has the right to use the bame Runan. And it looks like old Runan got hold of a Claire Bible manuscript. |

| So much happened! Lina is in search for a sorcery doctor up Mt Rune to remove the seal so she can use magic again. However, she runs into Xellos and Martina. Martina still wants revenge, but really likes Xellos. Xellos, of course, was waiting for Lina. They arrive at the top, and find that the doctor is dead, but his granddaughter, Kira, has taken over. But she's just a kid. Martina messes up the potion, destroys everything, and a monster has come to kill Lina. Turns out Xellos has to help out this time. But who exactly is Xellos? Lina manages to convince him to sell her talismans that are amplifying his power, so she could at least use some magic. And what's this? A Claire Bible manuscript??? Fun episode with plenty going on. It's been so long since I watched this that I don't really remember what happens. But that makes it more fun, rediscovering it. Of course, the opening theme is one of the best ever in anime history. |
