I liked this episode. That saftey squeeze with two strikes completely caught me off guard. And I kinda humored the thought that Seinan would lose, but I didn't actually expect it to happen. No duel between Tatsuya and Nishimura.

Kind of bummed that Seinen lost but it wasn't much of a shock seeing as Nishimura's been having problems with his arm since forever and it's kind of stupid that he didn't get it checked out beforehand, instead of just keeping it a secret.

Also I really can't take Nishimura's childhood friend/manager seriously XD

I'm almost surprised I felt sorry for Nishimura in this episode - him having been a creepy stalker/nasty guy until this stage. It wasn't a shock that he lost since there had been a lot of foreshadowing, what with his arm and all. It was, however, surprising to see him go to Tatsuya and say goodbye, in his own way - also telling him to count his blessings.

It would have been better for him to go out of the story much earlier; when his stalking thing was still fresh. Still, at least his character wasn't left hanging to the extent of Nitta, who went from a love rival to not appearing/interacting with Minami at all.

The fifth game was fairly entertaining, considering there was no ace pitcher/batter on the opposing team. I was annoyed that, unlike Kazuya, Tatsuya didn't use a mental image of Minami to help him during his moment of need, but I've gotten tired of moaning about the whole dream thing having been forgotten somewhere; possibly during the fillers.

Tomorrow I'll finish the series. I can't say I'm exactly pumped, though. I can't even remember when the last good TxM intimate moment was, and Minami's dream not getting mentioned at all - when Tatsuya is close to pulling it off - is irking more with every passing episode.

...Oh well. Even though the ending is destined to rub me up the wrong way, maybe the Tatsuya vs. Nitta contest, at the very least, will entertain me. It'll never make up for the romance failings of an anime that started out as the best romance ever, but there's nothing I can do about that...

How depressing.
I somehow saw that coming and all. I can predict this series fairly well. but I still love it.

Whoa, Nishimura lost D: Poor guy. I knew he was having trouble, but without the Seinan/Meisei showdown, even if Meisei wins it all, it honestly won't feel "complete".
Tatsuya should've slapped Yuka first.

Also wtf, I know people who're shorter AND leaner than Koutarou who weigh around 80kg /weird nitpicks
The end of the match vs Amamiya was really exciting and nerve-wracking.

Lol he just cleans his shoes, what an ass.

I like how Tatsuya just wakes n Entarou's tummy.

Yes, I really liked the final scene in this episode and that's coming from someone who never cared all that much for Nishimura as a character before.

On the other hand, I've always liked Kashiwaba as an antagonist. Targeting the innocents in order to exact vengeance on those who wronged you in the past? Edmond Dantes would approve.

Darn, what a good episode. This series just keeps getting better and better as it is nearing the end, I really liked the squeeze bunt that Tatsuya used to save the team's dream. Anyway it's really sad to see Seinan lost like that, losing your dream is never a nice thing.... Good on you Tacchan, for pushing Yuka the bitch right into the swimming pool.

Tatsuya should have punched Yuka in the pool, but I'll take what I can get!

I feel bad for Nishimura, but we all saw this coming.

That was a close game, I don't feel like there was a strong enough reason Tatsuya pulled through. Just out of his own strength.

Really a great game. Tatsuya is clearly smart enough to do that squeeze bunt.

Kinda sad for Nishimura, from a man that I don't like to a man that I can sympathize. What a way to say goodbye to Tatsuya. But still kinda sad that there won't be Tatsuya vs Nishimura

At least the match was suspenseful to the end.

I'm glad that Nishimura lost though, he is a terrible human being, and I don't feel any sympathy for him. The way he mistreated and disregarded Seinan's manager, attacking her with words, and actions like using the towel she gave him to wipe the sole of his shoes, making her cry in the process, was insufferable! He didn't even feel guilty about it, he simply attacked her again. They even put the death of his grandmother in the middle just to try and paint him as someone who deserves sympathy, but no, a big no. His actions with regards to that girl were terrible enough, but now that we know that she was his childhood friend, someone who was/is close to him, they are even worse. Good riddance Nishimura. Yuka was wrong to mock him because of his pain though, she should have done it because he is a creepy stalker with no consideration at all for a childhood friend or something.

Oh, and it was confirmed yet again that the demon did what he did because of what other people did to him, making innocents pay for his resentment just because he was also an innocent who paid for it. His pain loses all of its validity when he does the same thing they did to him. Well, the ending is near.

Serves Yuka right, I was about to say shut the fuck up xD Nishimura isn't necessarily the nicest guy( especially towards his poor manager) but he'sfunny and with a charm of his own. Really appreciate what he did in this episode.

Besides the joking/stalking character he usually is, it's pretty sad for Nishimura to lose because of his injured arm and won't face Meisei one last time. At least he realised that Minami is never going to support him unconditionally like his childhood friend. But man Yuka really pissed me off there ridiculing him for crying, glad that Tatsuya shoved her into the pool but he should have gave her a good slap there.

Nishimura, you really don't need to suck your childhood friend's dick y'know? Just don't be such a cunt to her just because of the way she looks, since I swear if she looked like Minami, you'd be all over her. That aside, the episode—the ending in particular—was great—especially fricking Yuka getting what she deserves!

The impact of this episode would have been so much more if we hadn't had nearly an entire season of Kashiwaba abuse with barely any charactor or romance development between the Uesugi-Nishimura-Nitta rivalry being fleshed out and it's conclusion. I've forgotten half of what happened back then...

Yes, Nishimura was still a shallow bastard, but I think he's good deep down, just immature. I feel like he's going to look back on how much of a prat he was as a teenager and cringe horribly. He certainly wouldn't be the only one :)

Hopefully he makes up with Suzuko as an adult. There could be a whole anime in that!

Just like I called it more than 30 episodes ago... Kashiwaba perpetuating the cycle of abuse.

Kashiwaba Eijirou meets 2 of his senpais from high school days... now those are the people who he should enact revenge upon, not the innocent kids who know nothing about this just like one of the guys said, this kind of voids Eijirou's revenge making him look pettier. But I still like him as a villain.

Nishimura actually lost before facing off Tacchan. That's a possibility I didn't take into account before so I was surprised. It's probably better this way since Isami-chan got nerfed before this. Man Nishimura is such a dick even to his manager/childhood friend. Can't say I feel sympathy for him. Yuka deserved getting thrown in the pool though for badmouthing Nishimura for the wrong reasons.

So the next match will be against another high school team we've never heard the name of before. Looks like I was wrong. With the current pacing I don't think we'll get to see a single match taking place in Koushien. It looks like the anime is more interested in these preliminaries.

Only 10 more episodes left. Let's go.
