I've noticed that, aswell as the fairly low overall score, people usually have something bad to say about the series so far.

So, a simple question to both the people who don't really like it and the people who love it. What is it that makes you keep watching the new episodes each week?

I personally am really enjoying the series as a whole. The characters are quite good, the music is very good and it generally has a really nice feel to it. Not to mention the series itself looks very nice with lots of colours and nice animation. Now I know I'm one of the few people who are really enjoying this but try to keep the hate to a minimum =3

I could probably write a lot more but I think I'll save most of it for when (or if) I decide write a review when the series ends.

I am proud to have Clannad as the only thing on my dropped list.

Its alright. Average. The thing that turns me off the most is that the only thing the kid does is press one button and theres only one button that appears. Theres not even choices.

Ya I like to finish most of the things I started. Thats why I keep watching.

He can choose attacks, i t was shown in some episode earlier.

If you ask me why i'm watching heroman.
When i'm watching heroman i'm felling nostalgia. I can come back to times, when i was younger, and i dreamed about to be a superhero or have some powers like Joey,
I'm sure that everyone had dreams about that in childhood.
Heroman it's a essence of that dreams' for me ofcourse.
Because of that i'm watching this with smile on my face.

The other things are fantastic animation, very good music, nice characters.
It;s just good show me, that i really like to watch and i always waiting for next episode..

The Skrugg arc was pretty dry, but with the newer episodes things seem back on track. I suppose overall I get a nostalgic "Saturday morning cartoon" feel from the series. It's not the best series ever, but it's fun. Meh, haters gonna hate.

Actually, I haven't seen a lot of people hating it a lot these days. They seem to have dropped it. Unfortunately, the score is just too low. Like, insultingly low.

Its not bad, But I can't stand the whole HEROMAN!!!!! PUNCH!!!! Part. that really annoys me. Thought they would get over the whole transformation scenes as well.

6.5 is more then enough for a mediocre repetitive show.

Stan Lee wrote the original story that was being made into a manga then the anime. Not sure if he finished the story or not, but he did write the outline for the story and even wrote the first couple of volumes of the manga.

I was talking about the anime though. It looks like the Heroman anime has its own writer.

Bring back the staruday morning cartoons!

Well I like it not only for that, but watching all the other anime is based on locations in japan, its nice to see a change of pace in locations. And it looks like they tried really really hard to make it look and feel like California. From the still shots in the op and ED to all the locations throughout the show. It looks, feels, and reminds me of my neighborhood when i was growing up in california. Lower-middle class neighborhood, all the houses different from one another, having to walk to school catching up with friends all of that. Definitely brings me back a few dozen years.

Seriously, don't you want to enjoy a break from what the inside of a Japanese middle/high school looks like?

"What happens when we die?" I know that the ones who love us will miss us.

I think it's precisely because it's bad that everyone likes it. It's like Saturday Morning all over again.

This. (minus the part about Cali. I've been there but haven't lived there)

Heroman is a nice little change from the standard anime fare, and with appreciable attention to detail, as Ranivus pointed out. But at the same time, it also has some of the zany unrealism I've come to expect from anime, and it's generally a nice mix.

I also liked how they seem to have kept American stereotypes to a minimum. I don't feel as much subtle anti-Americanism oozing from this show as I've seen from other anime shows that include American stuff. It's refreshing to not feel hated just because I happened to have been born in America.

Although on that same note of anti-nationalism, I am a little bothered that they seem to have reversed it by making Doctor Minami a villain. Why should the lone Japanese on the show be a bad guy? Can't there be at least one "good" Japanese to balance it out? Is this really the way to win viewers in Japan?

So, yeah, that sort of stuff bothers me. But the show isn't without flaws so... that's just one of the flaws, in my opinion.
