I hope not ! It's a goddamn trend for new age animes to not go longer. I hope Blue lock doesn't fall into that category!

@YashChourey fan fatigue is worst in the age of the internet though thats why you see that trend of manga usually not getting 500+ chapters anymore

Just for some bunch of lazy ass anime watchers who just give up on seeing the count of episodes. Anime ain't for them. or may be they are too good for anime that they ain't wasting time in life.
The production house should not focus on them and keep giving it to the last lone fan ! :-p

CHAPTER 300!
Ok there goes Nagi. He was satisfied but that's not enough to stay in blue lock you gotta keep wanting more and more until you become the best striker in the world. Still I hope he'll keep playing soccer and maybe we'll see him again. I don't think he's in the competition to be the best any more though.

Nagi will either return after u20 for the real wc if the manga goes that far or maybe comeback as another country player.

This was the absolutely best "modern Blue Lock" chapter. That shit almost made me cry at work from how great it was. It was so sad, I loved it. I hope Kaneshiro can cook good food like that more often. This definitely hits on my theory that Blue Lock needs a bit of "yaoi" to actually be good.

the equivalent of an anime death. my boy done dirty fr

i'll still hope for a wildcard 2.0

otherwise nagi will end up being a rival for isagi at an international club level, which is still awesome. it'll just mean he can't play for japan, which is fine

why can't reo be eliminated and nagi stay XD damn kaneshiro

I was never a Nagi fan, i always have preferred other characters, both in phase 1 (Barou or Aiku), or in phase 2 (Kaiser or Lorenzo), but this chapter was just cruel. As @a0i-kun above me already said, this is the equivalent of an anime death. I think this time there won't be any wildcards to save him. When Kunigami was eliminated, we didn't see anything. This time instead, Nagi got a proper goodbye and everyone was crying. Plus, in any national competition nowadays coaches normally bring 23 players (11 starters + 11 reverves + a third keeper, but actually, the final ranking only had 2 keepers, Gagamaru and Chou, the Ubers keeper), that's why Ego said only the best 23 would qualify to represent Japan at the U20 WC. The new arc starts in the next chapter, it wouldn't make sense for him to go and then come back in 20/30 chapters when the WC cup starts, since you can't chage the roster once an international competition has begun, it wouldn't be fair, it's a FIFA rule (also used in basketball and volleyball. I only follow these 3 team sports, so i dont know about others). I also remeber Ego saying that that 5 feint goal would be a problem for Nagi...

Nagi is gone forver. I'm glad he got to say goodbye, he had no regrets and that Reo and Isagi showed him love one final time. Isagi told him to no quit soccer. Maybe, after the U20 WC, if there will be a timeskip or something like that, we will see him again.

Goodbye genius, thank you for you amazing plays, especially in s1.

Wow I had expectations, but this second Nagi-Reo breakup was way more gay dramatic than I'd expected.
Not Ego televizing their drama on the big screen for the whole world to see lmaooo.
Nagi and Reo finally communicated and expressed their true feelings, and Isagi's last line to Nagi, as well as the small fire in his eyes, are solid confirmation that Nagi will indeed make a comeback. Well, and also the fact that the Nagi spinoff exists.

I'm sad Nagi didn't say anything to Zantetsu.

I'm looking forward to seeing Reo's development and potential going forward, without Nagi around.

But as much as I prayed for Nagi's downfall, I do hope the author doesn't treat Nagi like how he did emo Kunigami. Nagi and Reo partially caused each other's downfall, yes, but really the main problem is that one spoiled the other's creativity, while the other leaned into it. They do work really well together, they just have to find a new way to fire each other up to maximize their abilities. They have to change their mindset - learn how to use one another as a source of strength instead of as a source of weakness.
If the author makes it so that Nagi becomes stronger because he abandons his feelings for Reo and their dream of winning the world cup together, and Nagi just becomes another player who is aiming for the top by himself....I'd be annoyed, cause the one special thing about Nagi and Reo are their close bond and how they're the only players in the entire BL who are aiming to stand on top as a duo.

Also, praying the next chapter will be chill. We need another "day off" chapter.

@deg no it wont be the final arc, Isagi said that he will challenge Noah, who is over 20 y.o. There will at least 2 more arcs after the U20 world cup arc.

If Nagi comes back then my boy Nishioka better be included in the future arcs. I guess we could also add Igaguri with the biggest off screen level up

damn no wild card 2 for nagi, I guess the spin off will lead to something else outside of blue lock until he returns. And I think that's for the better, 2 wild card would be just too much and it could be really cool to see how the football world evolves outside of blue lock
