"Foooooooore!"

"Deer! Deer! Deer! Deer! Crows! Crows! Crows! Crows!"

Hehe. Poor Minami. And poor Ayaka. She's so afraid of frogs. :P

As expected, a new girl joined the party. Megumi is already getting along so well with our main trio.

“In this world, there’s as many ways to golf as there are golfers” not many caddies as good as Megumi, though! So nice for the girls to get an unbiased outsider’s opinion on their game so they can improve. Even more nice when it’s someone who could’ve been a champion in her own right.

So much valuable wisdom shared with the girls today and Haruka and Ayaka especially benefited because while they’re always helping Minami, they could use someone to evaluate them as well!

Haruka in particular seems to have grown a lot more mature in her game and it was cool seeing her tackle the course today. Ayaka on the other hand running from cute little frogs and Minami just wanna hit the ball as hard as possible 😭 she so slow

Really sweet episode, hopefully we get more outings with the gang and their new older sister figure. Also, I’d love to see Megumi’s son join in!

Minami has some sort of really helpful animal magnetism going on when she's golfing.

What is going on with the direction? It was pretty good for the first half of the series, but since last episode I get the sense that several parts of an original script have been cut away for time. Sequences and scenes are disjointed, or happen out of nowhere.

Man, it would have been tragic if Penkichi had been lost this episode. He's the pillar that holds the group together

This was a lot of fun. some of the gags like Minami getting chased by deer were a bit silly but overall this show continues to make me laugh and bring a smile to my face.

It would be at once sad and hilarious if Minami did indeed actually end up getting left behind in a future episode in favor of the young boy. And she has that kind of face where it's just as adorable to see pouty or devastated as it is to see elated.

This continues to be the best of the golf anime series. I would say "in spite of the fact that" or "even though" it's the most unassuming and simple. But it's probably because it's the most simple.

@TheSmug1 To me it seems like the writer is getting a bit thin on ideas.

This was my least favourite episode so far. All the random animal chasing scenes and then the ball bouncing off the frog's head to stay dry. The crows dropped off the penguin club cover? So much nonsense thrown in-between the character interactions. I thought Megumi would end up helping Minami somehow, but instead she was just scouting a future caddie in Ayaka. The episode felt like it was all over the place.

Minami getting attacked by birds just like Bocchi D:

Loved Megumi's character. Really hope she shows up again in the remaining episodes.

This was also probably my favorite episode or second favorite episode, since it showcased how well the girls are coming together as a unit with a shared passion for the hobby, while not overly homogenizing them and leaving time and space to still show off their individual quirks and traits - Minami's very slowly and gradually increasing skill and awareness of the game coupled with her remaining newbie energy and enthusiasm as well as her perpetual clumsiness, Ayaka's thoughtful attentiveness as the wife or mother of the group in addition to her more classic/traditional frail girliness/femininity of being prone to shrink in the face of insects and small creatures like amphibians, and Haruka's minor dilemma of her personal golf journey, what she did in the past, where she is at now, and the manner in which she will play and how seriously she will take it or not possibly factoring into determining how it influences her future as far as whether she will compete at the regional or national official level (again?) and strive to go professionally, keep it as a hobby, go to school like a college with it as a focus, continue to work at the driving range and aim to have it as part of her life as a part-time job like Megumi does as a caddy or more full-time - all questions which have to be weighing on her as she nears the end of her high school years.

Haruka's specifically is potentially the biggest part of the story, but we're only getting dribs and drabs of it in passing as this isn't intended as an intensive drama. Nor is she starring in her own golf battle shounen. And that's fine by me.

And sometimes I don't like when you have an already formed and developed tight-knit main character group and then you introduce a new character late in the game to disrupt the equilibrium, whether they become a main character, a frequently recurring side/supporting character, or are even just limited to a one-off in their debut episode. But in this case I felt it made the trio of girls stand out more, as a group against outsiders and individually distinguishing them more from each other since Megumi as a caddy and implied to be intuitive person picked up quickly on their differences but didn't discourage them. Like how she immediately early on noted Minami's unique style of play and worked out a plan tailored to her or detected Haruka's misgivings and addressed them gently without shaming or attacking her. She was the kind of character added in later which you actually like to see.

It was more or less unique episodes that are beyond logic. The crows and deer's chasing Minami was funny but the continuation was too much.

Overall it was an fun episode where we learn a little in the history of Haruka, and meets Megumi, who a caddies and a good instructor and at giving advice.
