What makes you hate this anime the most and why?

I am a huge defender of this anime because it's my favorite anime and I thought this anime was awesome from start to finish. I will admit the CGI is lot like the weird CGI in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F movie, but it gets better over time especially with the final battle because the CGI doesn't look rushed. I love this anime so much and since the creators said they were working on season 2 in summer of 2024 and I can't freaking wait for it. I really mad this poll to see what everyone would want them to improve on since they said they heard the criticisms and are going to use them to fix them.

I thought it was pretty mediocre besides the early episode animation and fight scenes.

I thought the characters and story were very bland and forgettable and that's what I take issue with the most.

I guess I kinda look at this series the same way Demon Slayer haters look at Demon Slayer; 'If it weren't for the animation...'

I don't hate the series though. I just don't really like it that much and I don't think I would have even if it weren't for the drop in animation quality and switch to CGI mechas or whatever. But I'm glad you liked it at least.

i dont really hate this anime, i kinda enjoy it a bit. but the story is meh, its very good at the start but turns out to be bad at the end. its not that so bad, but its wasted potential i think?

what most people including myself didn't like about this show was the deception of genre that it promoted. Almost everyone who tuned in to Ninja Kamuy started watching because it was supposed to be this John Wick like revenge story with Ninjas and phenomenal fights that focused on the Ninja aesthetic and the supernatural abilities they might use in said fights. What turned everyone off was when they refocused the story from the Ninja story everyone wanted to see to a futuristic, cybernetic mecha aesthetic that has been very overused. In turn they also refocused the way they did the fights from the Great looking fluid animation of the first few episodes to bad looking cgi fights no asked for and certainly did not start watching the show for. It just felt like we got deceived with the quality of the first few episodes vs the quality of the rest of the show where it felt like the showrunners purposely entrapped the audience with the first couple episodes just for views.

Ninja Kamui for me was one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had with an anime. It has huge potential at the start, but it seems to lose its way as the episodes go on. The first fights were really impactful and great to watch, but I just wanted to know why they had to put ninja robots at the end, I would have preferred the fights to be people and not ninja robots, since what really caught my attention were the dismemberment scenes with lots of blood and speed. Perhaps it's silly to say that what caught my attention most in the anime was the violence, but if it depends on the story the anime is just another generic anime about revenge, redemption and defeating the evil villain who owns an evil organization. What made me hope that the anime might be something again was in the last few episodes when there was a fight without robots, but the animation managed to look awful and made me lose interest in the anime. I'm sad that I wasted some of my time waiting for new episodes only for the anime to turn out the way it did.

i think The Hype killed it i guess
From director of
God of high school and jujutsu kaisen
Animation fell of from e4 to e8 and ending was very Dissapointing they nerfed it cuz of (production issues i guess)
they made a mistake by limiting the budget,
It had very very intense storyline (was a revenge plot) but they really ended it very quickly.😒😑
it had a great potential to be a big thing cuz of hype (fyi it strted in the middle of the season but gained such poplrty it ws 🔥 8.6 + rting for 1st ep)

It's not like I hate it, it was OK at best but compared to the first two episodes. Everything went down the gutter after that. It didn't feel like a ninja anime at all after the first two episodes.

Never hated this show, it really hooked me up in first few episodes.
Although as people have said above, the Mecha element unnecessarily ruined the show for me. It was very very bland and kinda predictable in the end. The CGI was just alright but the biggest disappointment for me was yet again the unorthodox blend of "Trained Ninjas with supernatural powers" with "Mecha". The Sci-Fi element of the show really made me question if it was executed poorly or was it just a poor combination from the get-and-go.

This was another reason why the story lost its seriousness and momentum on a few ocassions. Thanks to Mike & Emma's chemistry that the show could remain relevant for me or else I would have dropped it in midway.

The ending was predictable and the reveals were not other worldly to rate it any higher. Maybe I just didn't want to pay any attention to the details but that's why Logan's and his friend chemistry didn't pick my interest.

6/10 for me. It was fine. (For first 3 episodes - a weak 9/10)

I liked it and rated it high because im a sucker for revenge stories. however, I understand the hate. I thought the show was gonna be more ninja and not whatever cgi power Rangers stuff it devolved into.

I had such mixed feelings about this show, I still don't know what to think. But love is not what came out on top, that is for sure. Neither is PURE hate. I guess this one definitely ended up in the Mid category.

@Spleefy Adult Swim said that they're working on a second season because of how much views it got them for Toonami in awhile. They are also very passionate about this show and want it to be they're next big show since Toonami seem to can't make a popular anime without so much hate and Ninja Kamui is the closes to a popular series and they want to fix the problems people have about it.

I don't hate this show, and still think the first 2 episodes are good, but after CGI armored suits got introduced, I didn't like it anymore. The fights became slow as fuck, and I'm not a fan of mecha anime and don't like CGI. I wouldn't recommend this to my nephew if he asked me for some anime to watch.

I voted for "All the above" because let's be honest, almost everything is shit here but the thing I hated the most wasn't in the poll, what I hated the most was the "Mecha" shit and the "Bait & Switch", I signed to watch a revenge Ninja story, and what I got in return was some goddamn Power Ranger bullshitery which made me cringe, really fucking hard, and having shit characters and villains wasn't helping either.

So yeah, fuck this anime.
