It's great to see Minami enjoying golf so much. She still has a lot to learn, though.

She, Haruka, and Ayaka are such a lovely happy trio.

"I'll be back." *thumbs up -> dies* Poor golf ball. Hilarious Terminator 2 reference.

Cake > golf. No matter how much you love golf, cake simply comes first.

Always nice to end a stacked day of Friday seasonals with these loveable idiots, lol. Minami is so ass but she’s trying her best and slowly getting better. I love it!

Critical Hit!! *misses* poor thing. Minami still struggling, but you do see her slowly but surely putting things together. It’s so cool having a show where the leads sucks at the sport because it’s realistic for someone just getting into it to struggle and that makes the journey that much more satisfying. While she didn’t get her score goal for the day, calling it where they did was for the best. Part of growing as an athlete is knowing your limits and surviving to fight another day.

Like Minami said, just try to improve every day. You’re shooting towards you in the future. Really cute and wholesome episode as per usual. Slowly but surely seeing signs of Minami putting things together. Won’t happen overnight, but all you can do is be better than you were the day before.

RIP 3 nice guys... HAM trio is super cute, it is almost like those two are Minami's moms.

I bet that Minami would totatlly build a tiny shrine in her room to worship the goddess of golf.

I take it back, the Mazda RX-8 wasn't the saddest death of the season, it was that golf ball.

The HAM ball from the TV special (pilot?) makes its appearance, but not before losing three nice guys to the pond. I like seeing these three goobers getting along and enjoying golf.

This episode pretty much encapsulated the strengths of the series and solidified this realization in my mind that a lot of what's been happening here is what I had wanted out of the series of Birdie Wing and Ooi! Tonbo which, while having their own positive qualities, never quite scratched the itch of what I wanted out of a theoretical golf-based anime series. This at least gets closer to it; so much so that I can't really envision or articulate anything closer.

I think it's because of this one being a little more of a Slice of Life and unafraid to dwell a bit on the minutiae. Plus, the characters in our trio having some interests apart from golf, not just as a passing reference but known developed interests shown onscreen and/or brought up frequently, like Minami with video games/gaming and Ayaka with fashion and her vlogging and social media role as a Minstagrammer - all of that makes them feel more like humans playing and taking an interest in golf rather than golf gods plopped down onto Earth for this one purpose. It's more believable, but that jives with the Slice of Lifey-esque approach.

Well, for Minami and Ayaka anyway. Haruka is the Evangeline Burton or the Tonbo of the series, but she gets a pass for being a visual stunner and such a patient and kindhearted mentor figure.

I think this episode uses some of the stuff from the OVA. Perhaps exactly in this episode is where the OVA should have been. Both are outdoors, and I remember in both episodes, Haruka advised her to visualise the end in mind.

That was absolutely hilarious when Miniami's ball was the T800 from Terminator 2 with the I'll be back and the thumbs up when it went into that water.
I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

Peak Terminator 2 reference.

Glad Minami had a good day at the golf court and enjoyed herself despite her very poor performance. Funny how Haruka and Ayaka acted more like her moms rather than her friends this episode xD

I guess it's safe to assume Minami didn't make par on the last hole with the ball falling in off screen? A shame.

Minami and the girls continue to show there charms to us, with there lovely smiles to there silly behaviors. Haruka and Ayaka are like big sisters to Minami, always taking care and being supportive of her.

Sadly the 3 nice guys were lost in this intense battle. And the power of friendship "HAM" came in clutch with the golf goddess's blessing. Not gonna lie, seeing a goodness like her, I might start worshiping as well.
