Kiss followed by awkward laugh. Loved it. So much domestic fluff omfg. And to think Episode 10 could have been the same as this if it weren't for Isaki's annoying sister. Overall, best episode of the series unless the confession happens in one of these two final episodes. |

Felt like there was so much in this episode but it went by so fast! Being away from everything really seemed to give them peace of mind, actually letting them enjoy stuff a lot more, even with Nakami getting serious. The build up to the kiss seemed really natural, with it not really feeling out of place or anything, what a sweet episode. |

One of the best kiss scenes that I have ever seen. Simple but effective! |

TsutanaiFuun said: DiamondDimoDaddy said: TsutanaiFuun said: DiamondDimoDaddy said: to me it felt like the breakdown happened all of a sudden. during magari's it felt natural but nakami's felt forced. but this is just how i felt. if you think it was perfect then that's nice.TsutanaiFuun said: no buildup to nakami opening up so it just felt so forced and i didn't feel anything while watching that. it was as if they put nakami crying just to make that kiss happen. idk why is it that first kisses happen in most fiction when the other person is vulnerable and is crying. not like i'm not happy they kissed but the execution could have been much much better. For you to say no build up meant you somehow just skipped straight to the kiss. Did you miss all the time they spent together and how Ganta felt something was off? He finally felt comfortable enough after all the time he spent together to let her know how he felt about his time with her. One thing led to another and he decided to let her in because he trusts her enough. The execution was perfect fine so I really don’t get your problem with it. The breakdown as an extension of him unloading his trauma. That’s exactly the case of what happened with Isaki. Both teens have shared their reason for their insomnia and broke down because it’s something that hurts them deeply. The other is there to comfort the other in their own ways. I don’t get how it’s all of a sudden because he did the same thing during the bus scene and Isaki comforted him then. There’s definitely precedence for him doing that because it’s something that strikes him much deeper than failing to meet people’s expectations. I can see where you’re coming from but again, it only happened slightly faster than when Isaki cried. It’s a sensitive memory that he’s had repressed for a long time and hadn’t addressed unlike Isaki who has been throwing around the flags of her condition. It’s sudden because it comes at him much quicker and all at once compared to Isaki. I get that it’s probably your personal preference but it was a heat of the moment kiss that was handled well. After everything they’ve went through, it felt earned for this crucial moment when both have finally shared their reason for their insomnia. They were absolutely comfortable enough and close enough for the kiss to not have felt forced in any ways imo. |

I really relate a lot with this anime/manga since it has a lot of the same vibes as my first relationship in high school (minus the sad undertones). It has hit me harder than every other romance manga/anime I’ve watched. There’s just a fluid simplicity in the relationship that appeals to me so much. Nothing is ever blown out of proportions. No big back and forth tension, just the couple slowly easing into and melting into each other. |

This took me back to those days when I was younger, love was fresh and new and uncertain. Both tentative, slowly opening up. None of all the ultra dramatic misunderstandings or love triangle of evil villain trying to break up the relationship. Just 2 kids, slowly finding each other and realizing their growing attraction. This might be one of the best romance anime I've seen in a long time, hit me square in the feels. Some scenes made me want what they have. |

This might be one of the best romance anime I've seen in a long time, hit me square in the feels. Some scenes made me want what they have. The scene where they snuggled up at the beach. I really fucking felt that one. Ganta trying to hold his breath/not breath into Isaki’s hair is similar to what I did when I first snuggled in my first relationship. I was trying to be as quiet as possible and was afraid of disrupting anything so I slowed my breathing down A LOT. Gentle and raw physical intimacy is something that is pretty hard to get right in fiction. Either the couple is basically sexless and have a barrier between them or they’re way too attached to each other/sucking each other faces off every point they can get. Insomniacs is really just that sweet middle point for me. They’re affectionate and you can obviously see they’re close to each other and comfortable, with that slight sense of awkwardness of being teenage crushes. That scene where they posed for Nono in a dance pose really sold how close they are to each other at the time. They’re just so soft and caring around each other without it being sappy, everything they do together just feels earned for me. This entire trip allowed them to just do whatever they pleased together (aka being very domestic). When Nakami’s reason for his insomnia was shared, they both reached a point where they both understand what led them to need (not just love) each other so much. It’s a crucial moment in that there was really not much left to reveal. They are completely vulnerable and bare to each other which is most likely why Isaki took the plunge. He trusts her enough to reveal something so close to his heart and that absolutely overwhelmed her, I bet. The kiss, the aftermath, the episode, just absolutely perfect for romance. I adore their relationship so damn much it hurts. It just HITS. |

Oh my god, you had an experience almost just like me. I once went overseas to Vietnam to visit my grandparents. Every night I would call and text my girlfriend for hours. Some of the most precious memories I’ve ever had was just listening to her talk about her days, her troubles, the good things that happened to her and telling her about my times in Vietnam. I missed those times. Ganta and Isaki goofing off on their reminds me of how I used to play some online games together with my girlfriend on the phone, that was such a blast. I also loved to take pictures of the food in Vietnam and show them off to her. Back to the anime, the final episode will definitely be the biggest climax of the anime. Just how, I think people are gonna love what they’ll see. That’s all I’ll say :) After that, I’ll advise reading the manga because it only goes up in quality/romance from where the anime will end. |

If she hadn’t been listening, there would’ve been no kiss. Honestly, she was trying to comfort him and ended up doing something she already had been wanting to do for a while, so it seemed realistic. As was the after kiss reaction. Everything in this anime just hits real, hence the feels. Strangely that was the same for me. Agree with everything you said. The softness, the relationship developing, the feelings growing. When I was younger my boyfriend and I used to talk 3+ hours a night, every night, and somehow we never ran out of things to talk about. I miss it a lot really. The story and characters could not be better. I also love the ED. If thing don't go wrong in the last episode, this will be my Anime of the Season. Wow we had similar experiences, who would have thought? I really do miss the deep conversations we used to have, but am sorry things didn't work out between us as education got in the way. Oh well. Happy to hear it will have a good ending, I look forward to it in 3 days. Finally broke down earlier in this year and read the 1st manga, I'm not done with it but I did really enjoy Hakumei to Mikochi. So if the library has Insomniacs, I'll most likely read that too if I have time. The anime actually has 13 episodes. Not too many were informed about that. There’s actually two episodes left! Good, more stuff to look forward to! |

The way the kiss happened was beautiful, she really wanted to lift his spirits up with that and also finally build up the courage to let her feelings out in the open. |

really good ep, but not seeing enough other ppl kinda disturbed by Magari kissing Nakami in his really vulnerable state ik she wouldnt willingly use him like that with bad intentions, and that she wanted to comfort him, but he was clearly upset while talking, and another form of comfort like a hug or hand-hold would have been more appropriate. it kind of felt like she might not even had been fully listening to his opening up to her. |

Amazing kiss moment… honestly the way their relationship has developed throughout the season is amazing. I think the moments of laughter between the characters really makes everything feel genuine too |

As much as the kiss was cute. I actually wish it didn't happen. Homie was about to talk about these feelings for probably the first time ever and have some serious introspection and she kinda interrupted it. It wasn't poorly intentioned but honestly not really the time. At least let him talk about everything before you two confess or whatever. |

AAHHHHH OMG the kiss caught me off guard! I didn't think that would happen this soon and I love that it did. Bro's brain short-circuited so hard he walked into the ocean without a thought in his head. |

Isaki and Ganta exploring the island together and then cohabitating was super wholesome. That sequence would have definitely been my favorite part of the episode, if we didn't get that scene of Ganta opening up and getting kissed by Isaki! That really had my emotions on a seesaw from sympathy to surprise. Excellent Episode! |
