For a moment, a question arose in my mind:

"Do you want to be alone or have a harem?"

Until the end, I couldn't even find the part that meant being alone.

Can you guys help me digest the story?

Does he have a harem by end ❌
He just got one girl that too at very end.

Does he want to stay alone ✔️
He only comes to their rescue when it's needed, he couldn't just don't care while his friends die?

He still lives alone(until end), fight alone and went to to dungeon alone.
Not fully but the title is mostly accurate to the plot.

The real antagonist is Ms Class Rep who obviously fancies him. She wants to meddle with Haruka's affairs to have more time to interact with her.

Whilst Angelica is the de facto GF and he is unaware of it, he wants her to stay so they can spar and become stronger. But so far, he isn't interested in romance and still wants to live alone.

I think the tittle just clickbait. Loners usually have an introverted and awkward nature, but Haruka has a prominent and heroic nature.

Because the genre is generic fantasy isekai, even trash skills can become strong, which makes him blessed with caring friends and lots of women and he acting like a normal person.

If you want to make an interesting title and story, make Haruka a loner hero in the shadows, strength from weak to strong but not too fast, and a little awkward feeling when he meets his friends.

@WaterMage Loners don't have any friends and why loner would care for someone?

Angelica was the best thing about this show and she came in the last few episodes. Its called loner life but his classmates wouldn’t leave him alone. It irritated me so much. And don’t get me started on the class rep absolute waste of screentime. He should’ve been transported to the other world alone grinded levels like he did then hit the dungeon to find Angelica. Then them both going on an adventure while figuring out their feelings would’ve been a great show but this was a flop. If season 2 comes out ill still watch it though

This anime can be summed up in one phrase: 'Come alone, we'll come alone too.’

If I remember correctly from the light novels, it's not like he has to be alone or can't be alone or whatever.
The reason for the "loner" part is that Haruki can't create a party via the adventurers guild. He can't register at the guild either so wouldn't matter. By party I mean like do dungeon diving with teammates and share the experience point they receive. Therefore, forever alone. Kind off.
Also, he prefers to be alone but as you've seen in the series, the girls (classmates) kind of doesn't leave him alone or want him to be alone due to his weak stats. Despite being stronger than them.

That's basically all I remember. Trying to explain more would possible become a spoiler so I'll skip that but add one here below considering the last few episodes.

Been a while since I read the first few volumes of the light novel where this is kind of explained so I could be wrong but think of it as a reason for the "loner" part.

It's wish-fulfillment pandering to the "loners" targeted by the title, who find themselves alone but would love nothing more than to have a bevy of girls fawn over them while they make no effort
