FUG and Team Mad Dog trying to pull tricks one last time.

Honestly, this episode felt like it's desperate to rush to get to the final battle. Felt like it was inevitable with the way things are building up tbh. Aguero Agnes Khun might be a central character involved in these final episodes.

did the budget slightly increase? cause this episode's fight is way better than the previous one like btw smoke guy with mask vs our blue hair guy and edorsi kicking mad dog mid air.

Hmm what does this remind me of...

Can anyone explain why people seem to hate Season 2 so much? I’ve seen a lot of people saying the animation is bad but the animation is decent, if anything was going to let it down, it would be the writing

@ajw215799 like in the webtoon season 2 started on a clean slate with a new cast and a different main character, which made it a tough read/watch for a lot of people (like me), animation sadly was very inconsistant for this adaptation, it started strong and clean but slightly got worse and worse with badly drawned characters, tons of stand still and wonky fights, still if i can give something to this adaptation they used almost no CGI and the main fights were well adapted (yes even Mazino, it was good enough)

So tldr does it deserve the hate? not really but they definitely could have done better (like not making 26 episodes at once which is legit crazy for a fight heavy anime) they could have separated the two 12 episodes parts by 6 months so they could have polished both more imo.

Wait is that a competently animated fight scene I see in tower of god?? Khun’s action sequence looked decent. Disappointing arc overall just with the production values, but this was the best episode storywise for sure.

Actually felt bad for masked dude. Getting your eyes and family taken because you looked at a princess is fucking crazy. That would be anyone’s villain origin story. Seeing Bam have all the power in the world and not be more aggressive with change.. I can see why he’d be upset, but it’s not like you can just 1 v a billion the tower. Change takes time.

RIP Emily too damn

Endorsi finally gonna get that date lol. I like how we ended in a contrast to season 1’s finale with Bam falling but this time there’s someone there to catch him and everyone refuses to let him go ❤️

I find it strange how it seems like the 10 families and Jahad etc. seem like the bad guys and FUG a "necessary" or at least somewhat understandable "evil", but the main cast doesn't seem to really think that way, or even acknowledge it at all, nor a they ever confronted with the idea.
At least from what I remember.

Not that I think the main cast should necessarily pick a side, or even be "morally good" or care at all, but I do find it strange.

I actually went into today’s episode thinking it was the finale, and when the episode ended like that I was like “wait, that’s it?”, but then I remembered there are 13 episodes lol, good deal then. And damn I’m ngl, it felt like I was watching a different show, the production for every fight in this episode actually looked pretty good and I could tell what’s happening at all times, and the story beats were really good in this episode too, I felt it was kinda lacking for the entirety of Season 2 but I got those high emotions in this one thanks to the Reflejo backstory and the contrast of the final scene of this episode to the last scene of the first season, Bam being rescued from his fall this time kinda hit me in the feels.

Of course there were other great moments in this one too like Lero Ro saving Bam and the others, or Endorsi’s win over the Mad Dog fella, just a pretty solid episode all around. And next week is the finale, I really hope they can stick the landing even with all the fumbles throughout the season, just dedicate the entire episode to Endorsi’s date and I’m satisfied lol, I at least hope she gets it in some way.

That was incredibly messed up, what happened to the masked man. That is an entire another level of Evil. Hard to see FUG as totally evil after that.

Well, the author didn't mean to make it black & white, so neither the 10 Families & Jahad nor the FUG are necessarily good or evil, rather different shades of grey, and at least in this part of the story the FUG is put in a more darker gray light.
Most of the main cast is not for or against the 10 Families & Jahad, but for themselves (and their team). Also, since some of their friends are from the Families, the FUG directly threatens them, all the while the Families themselves do not actively threaten (in this arc at least lol) the main cast, so the choice is obvious.

On the other hand, there are other reasons why the random person wouldn't support FUG, at least from the get go:

- Most know about FUG only from the official propaganda, and the FUG itself is extremely secretive and doesn't care that much about their general public image much (the public has no say or sway anyways).

- Jahad and the Families are in effectively complete control of the Tower, they completely and brutally squashed the resistance in the last big War with the fire and sword, their power is overwhelming, furthermore Jahad and 10 Family Leaders are effectively immortal (nobody in the Tower can hurt them anyhow at all) and have godlike powers (each of the leaders easily as strong as pretty much entire Tower combined), so the resistance seems quite pointless. Why suffer for the lost cause? Better keep low and conform.

- As a Tower Regular (climber), you kind of have quite the status and opportunities already, and you benefit from the current system. The families mostly conform to the Rules of the Tower (don't mess with Regulars directly while they climb), so it makes no sense to antagonize. Most people are also not actively and personally oppressed by the system, also the average person likes status quo and is afraid of big change (especially in Asian societies - the authors background is Korean and the Tower is somewhat modelled on modern Korean civic society, with stiff conservative norms, big family clans (such as Lee family aka the dynastical owners of Samsung) effectively ruling the country, rough ultracompetitive grind in life aka "climbing the tower" etc.). Furthermore many common people do support FUG or at least have sympathy to their cause without being actively involved.

- The FUG itself is not just The Resistance, it is an extremely fanatical organization with a cult-like structure. They are completely ruthless and are not in a business of delivering marshmallows to the poor. They engage in active terror attacks against the state, collateral damage be damned. Their motto is victory at any cost, and you're with us or you are against us. Its not easy to get out once you join and you don't have much freedom if you are in.

But as the plot progresses in later arcs, things will change quite a bit for the main cast. Especially in the later arcs, oh boy..

I knew the bunny girl was going to be a good person in the end, I like her a lot, she is funny lmao

They messed with Bam, so now their friends not only rescued him but destroyed the entire plan of the biggest terrorist group inside the Tower, nice.

I hope we see Bam and Endorsi have that damn date in the next episode lol, the subplot of her secretly being in love with him since S1 is really nice, back then it seemed like it was nothing more than a joke or a way for her to try to manipulate him.

ONLY 1 EPISODE LEFT 😭

The animation and pacing improved significantly in this episode, and even the fight scenes looked great. Hopefully, the rest of the season will maintain this level of quality.

I'm still a little confused about what Emily is and what Cassano plans to do with her, but at least FUG has been defeated for the time being, allowing Baam and the others some peace. I did feel a little bad for Reflejo, though. Despite his attempts to harm Baam's friends, he was betrayed by a princess and had his eyes removed.

It's undeniable that the women in Tower of God are master manipulators, and many characters fall victim to their schemes, and Reflejo is just one example. This only reinforces my belief that there's no one like Endorsi - she's in a league of her own. It's about time she got her well-earned date!

FUG didn't lose anything though, its just one of the inner FUG factions (against FUG leader's will at that) didn't get their way (nor is it this faction's last try).
Otherwise FUG is quite on the track with what they originally planned to do.

Huh? When did Khun get that super convenient dagger? And I seriously can't remember that side effect being explained prior to this episode either...

Also, did they make a parallelism with Bam falling but this time (unlike S1's finale) being rescued by his friends? Because if that's the case, gotta say it was a pretty cool narrative decision.

One episode left. Please make it about Endorsi having her long-awaited date so we can conclude this underwhelming season on a somewhat pleasant note.

The second of 2 experiments for the Workshop Battle: Emily itself, being a conflict of interest that boded well for its sponsors, and Cassano knows it well that it has been the center of the Battle ever since to sway Regulars into their experimental game.

Both Khun and Rak having an idea to throw Reflejo off his game by trapping Hwaryun in a special blade, that part is easily resolved so that Bam can finally go against his former mentor with Enryu's Thorn, though it takes a considerable amount of power just to break even. And with the exit routes all blocked out, there's no more time than to find ways to escape at the very soonest to wherever they are.

The ending is just about the coolest stuff to see from this entire season alone: the contrast with Rachel pushing Bam away in Season 1, to now where Endorsi and the others help pull him up now. What a change of heart.
