Does this still sound like ass or did they fix that?

Looks aside, I just can't force myself to watch the original because it literally sounds like someone is farting into a microphone for most of the time for most of the episodes.
Does the new one still have this issue?

Nope, it's literally just the wano filter pasted onto the old storyboard. So no new animations or new voicing.

it's not a filter just pasted on. I do hate the wano look but this looks way better than the original and obviously paced well. the faces look better and lighting is good. I have only seen 1 episode and all I can say from that is that it is better than the original no doubt.

Maybe try getting a good release or even watching legally instead of the smallest mini you can find on torrent sites.
