| Congratulations to Kanata for smashing the record, even though the 86 is underpowered compared to the other cars Kanata will constantly wring out every last bit of performance from it. |
| Once again, props to the animator. They really show us how crazy Kanata's driving is. He is always going full speed and sticking to the walls whenever he makes turns. Can't wait to see the real race and how Kanata will fare against other racers in the newly upgraded 86. |

The more they show Ren in her life as an Angel, the more illegal it sounds; not only is an underage girl being told to dress in skimpy clothing and be leered at by a camera and kiss guys when requested but in this episode she reveals that her contract says that she can’t miss a race even if she has educational commitments, I don’t know if Japan has a law about this but in the West, employers are definitely not allowed to force minors to prioritize work over education.
I know this is a fictional show but I wish they’d show just as much realism towards the world as they do towards the racing.

| at the front there is a fascia with an extended splitter and various carbon fiber components, a configuration that increases front-end down-force of the 86 while the new inlet duct above the grille acts as a air intake for the new twin turbo v6 engine. The new Air outlets can be seen on the front wheel arches and this function is to remove turbulent air or dirty air. New wheel arches, they have been widened by 43 mm which drastically alter the car’s stance on the road. The new front bumper, bespoke side skirts, a new rear bumper, and a brand new GR sports exhaust system has been fitted The car also now have front fender ducts, side window cowlings to improve air flow, a more pronounced trunklid lip spoiler, and forged 20-inch wheels. The modifications adds to the previously modified suspension kit with different shocks and springs to increase the grip and lower the car with very little ground clearance for better air dynamics . This is the downward force that pushes the car onto the track, increasing grip and allowing Kanata to corner at higher speeds. It's generated by the car's new wings and body shape, working similarly to an airplane wing but in reverse Drag reduction : This is the air resistance that slows the car down as it moves through the dirty air of the cars at front. Okyuyama design the car's body to be as streamlined as possible to minimize drag and maximize speed.. |
| The upgrades that has been used on Kanata's Toyota 86 has shown its full potential during the qualifying lap of the 3rd race location. You can see how difficult some parts of the track are with the tunnels leading to flashbang moments at high speeds, along with narrow residential roads that are impossible to overtake on. The way that he uses all of the road without losing momentum never fails to entertain me and his efforts were enough to break the lap record here. Beckenbauer simply sees him as another irritating bug, but at least Sawatari acknowledges him as a proper threat. It'll be interesting to see how the other racers will perform on their qualifying laps next time. With Kanata setting the benchmark very high, there will be a lot of pressure for Beckenbauer and Sawatari, as well as Sena, to perform at their best here. |

| HOT DAMN!!! Way to go Kanata! The newly turbocharged GT86 is in fine hands with Kanata behind the wheel! Do not call that 100HP increase a measly sum when in reality its effect is monumental to with his skills. So much so that he managed to break the course record! His technique is 10/10, flawless for the car he's in. Nevertheless, he's not alone when it comes to drivers with serious talent and skill. Beckenbauer and Sawatari are up there with Kanata but they got a fully automatic transmission with arguably better cars, particularly Beckenbauer with his still fully-stock Cayman. The only reason why he hasn't modified his Cayman or changed to a Cayman S or a Cayman GT4 is because he's already so overwhelmingly superior compared to the so-called Kami-15. |

| The turbo-powered 86 is on, and it's proving to handle a lot better than it used to be, that sadly for Ogata, proves too much of a speed burden. Ren seeking Kyoko's help because of her crush on Kanata, she's the right person for the advice job since there is a private and business conflict, though she needn't worry too much about things as it is now. With the Peninsula Manazuru incoming, it's the true Devil of MFG races, and everyone is on the mindset of improvements with the qualifying time trials, especially Kanata getting a grip with the turbo upgrade on the 86. The Manazuru Peninsula has got quite the challenge going for it with its signature features, but Kanata makes it look SO easy with the meagre, but significant 100hp boost...that he hasn't even used yet. All the tight corners and bells and whistles are no problem when skills are at the helm, and Kanata already makes provisional pole, which scares even the toughest racers. To break the course record and not be called Takumi Fujiwara's student, Kanata is now the threat that everyone cannot ignore. |
