| The one who was happy the most when Wien and Tomori joined Liella was Kanon. They used the OP, Let's be ONE, as their qualifier. lmao... This is the reason why this episode didn't have the OP. That Salzburger Nockerl looked very delicious though.  |

| Was bound to happen, this episode. Would be weird if Margarete didnt had any problem after joining Liella! The OP is the first song Liella! song as 11. Switching the running part with Margarete eating comically large dessert portions was funny, and ironic. |

| Loved Margarete's development, honestly I relate a lot to the way she thinks and tackles things and I felt they really did a great job showing her growth naturally and realistically. Pretty disappointed though they didn't address the fact that technically Margarete never beat Liella? Like at least just mention it and show Margarete acknowledging or accepting it... esp when it was such a obstacle in the previous ep. For that reason alone, I wasn't as a big fan of this ep as the past few. Margarete though has really grown on me throughout the show. Also loved Aria's role in this ep and also Kinako and Natsumi showing backbone and maturity. |

| So we’re all in agreement this is the best LL season ever right?? Such a good episode. Liella are finally 11! Margarete being skeptical and taking a while to warm up to the other girls makes sense. It wasn’t overnight that she and Kanon got close so naturally she and Kinako and the others aren’t gonna be close off rip. I liked the idea of breaking Liella up into little small groups to simulate the environment she, Tomari and Kanon had. As usual Chisato coming through with the best diagnosis and solution to a problem lol. I’m wondering who tf leaked that liella had a rift in the group though and how an article got published about it lmao. Natsumi? “Alright let’s go open a new door for us, together as eleven” ahh the OP performance! For as tsun tsun as she acts, Margarete looked happy as hell performing there lol. And man I ain’t know she could eat like that goddamn those plates were massive. Greedy ass 😂 |

| Margarete's integration into the group is the focus of this week's episode and that makes it pretty interesting. There are a couple of misunderstandings and tense moments, but for the most part we get amusing and cute scenes (like Margarete baking lessons or Kanon sobbing uncontrollably). This episode also shines some attention on Kinako, and that's not an accident because it seems she'll be the main focus next week. Looking forward to it, as it's been some time since she last was in the spotlight :) |

We're not seriously giving them credit for a good performance when the show just repurposed the OP, are we? My expectations are being subverted in pretty subpar ways...

| I've never felt so frustrated with an episode before that I had to write a review for it. What a disaster. I grew up with love live. I wanted to love Liella. I'm so attached to its characters, so to see it fall like this is so heartbreaking. This whole season I've felt like something was really off, but I couldn't tell what it was. This episode, specifically during the scene with Margarete showing her deep understanding for what it takes to be a school idol, I realized what was wrong. The lack of expressiveness, not just in the character's faces but in their movements as well, has sapped a lot of energy out of this series. Everyone's reactions seem so bland. Every character is so stiff and lifeless. There's hardly any real poses that are 'challenging' to draw. Rarely anything goes outside of character A and character B standing in a regular position with a dead-on or slightly tilted angle. They could have had Kanon actually hug Margarete, and given us an interesting shot, but it was more of the same bland posing & framing. It feels so cheap. A real shame. [snipping this second part, misunderstood prelims for final performance. maybe there is still hope!!! :D] |

| Well… that was definitely just the OP they used as the performance this episode lol, I had a feeling we’d get it since they had the same outfits on, and the OP is truly awesome so I don’t mind its placement here, but the cut to it did seem kinda odd and a little cheap imo, I mean the show looks so good most of the time so it’s a light complaint but for the first performance of 11 member Liella (as well as one of the final performances with the 3rd years) to be like this is a bit disappointing, I think a new song would have made it more impactful but once again, that OP song rips so I like it here at the same time. But besides that, this was mainly a Margarete episode that I think was overall a very good one, her reactions to Kinako trying to force things with her were realistic, and it makes sense that Margarete wouldn’t just be buddy buddy with everyone from the get-go, like just yesterday they were her enemies lol, so I really like that it wasn’t like flipping a switch with her and she had to warm up to it instead. This led to letting Margarete plan for the next song since she’d have more of an objective stance on the group, and at first this caused some hard feelings, but much like Margarete grew closer to Aria throughout this episode through teaching, the same thing happened with Kinako and Natsumi near the end of this one, and while this did seem like a quick turnaround, I still really liked this moment, maybe besides the fact Kanon called everyone out in the cold just to see it lol. And it was also brought up again that this is the last time Kanon and the other 3rd years will be performing together, and as the ED played I got a bit teary eyed because it dawned on me that the original five girls that started Superstar will be leaving, Season 1 is atm still my favorite season of Superstar and probably Love Live as a whole so it’s hitting especially hard, also the fact it was my second ever Love Live anime, it’s unfortunate that this season has kinda shafted favorites of mine like Sumire and Ren but I hope these last few episodes are great ones to send them off. |

Had to go back and check, but you're right. The only other series I've seen is Sunshine (and Nijigasaki, but that one is differenct), and they did use the S1 OP as the finals performance in S2

I've been underwhelmed with Superstar since midway through S2, but this is just not true. Maybe you were thrown off by the Margarete's speech, but this was just the preliminaries. Also, Sunshine used an OP in its second finals (though that was at the beginning of the episode, and they closed out the episode and season with a new song). Assuming Liella doesn't lose, we should get at least 2 new songs over the last few episodes.

| Yeah, in hindsight last episode was a little too much of a happy ending override. Even after joining Wien still acts difficult and weirdly enough is also overpowered in every activity the rest of Liella attempted to bond with her (and her face while playing cards was priceless) Natsumi and Kinako have been class acts for not taking offense at Wien remarks and genuinely wanting to improve themselves. Now, Kinako has a full episode named after her too? This late in the season? Mmm... |
