Rumors say that CloverWorks, Pierrot, TMS Entertainment, and MAPPA are racing for adapting Kagurabachi.

- Which studio do you prefer?
- Which studio will likely win?

Judging from the MAL ratings of Tokyo Ghoul sequels (cuz I haven't watched Tokyo Ghoul at all), I'd probably put Pierrot last.

Bruh, Tsumi is a fraud. I wouldn't believe in anything he/she posts if I were you.

And btw, it's better to judge by newer productions such as Bleach sequels.
By this logic you could also exclude/put Cloverworks last for butchering Promised Neverland

I feel like mappa might win and I want them to win. all of their recent stuff has been very good so the quality is going to be good, no amazing. There still is the issue with the workers which might ruin things.

Yeah, most likely lol. Had no idea who they are, so I'll keep that in mind.

I would probably put CloverWorks second from last.

Uh, studios never races for projects, as they are not the ones owning the rights, but the producers (unless the studio itself is a producer of the project)...

Probably, Pierrot or Ufotable. Pierrot is doing an outstanding job on the Bleach TYBW adaptation and they're kinda known for basically making most Shounen jump anime so I think they'll handle it very safely. Although a part of me wants to think perhaps Ufotable animating Kagurabachi is a fever dream that I don't think will be possible since they're busy with Demon slayer.

dude, Tsumi is a shameless liar. don't believe 2hatever he says.
but oh well, not Mappa, definitely not TMS since they fucked up Spirit Chronicles for Sakamoto Days, definitely not Pierrot after what they did to Twin Star Exorcists so imma go with Cloverworks.

Pierrot is one of the worst anime studios to ever exist. I hope they don't fucking touch this with a 10 foot pole. They're gonna turn this into a long running shit show like Bleach, Naruto, Black Clover and countless others. Anybody else would be fine, especially MAPPA. This show doesn't really fit the resume of TMS or Cloverworks.

Rumors are still rumors. Let's wait for any official news.

While all studios mentioned in the poll are good, I would like to see Kagurabachi anime done by either CloverWorks or MAPPA. As much as I like the latter, if I were to pick one I would prefer CloverWorks, to be honest.

I personally think studio Bones would be a great choice. I think Kagurabachi would work really well in their style. 👍

Even if it's true it'll still be a year minimum before we know. That said I kind of want DavePro. It'd be fun to see them get creative with the colors in the fights

We're still a year away, at minimum, of getting an anime announcement for Bachi. Like others have said, that Tsumi loser is a shameless lying fraud.

As for which studio I'd prefer, ufotable could be good but if we get an anime in, say, the next 2 years, they'll probably still be busy with the Demon Slayer movies. Someone above said Pierrot would turn this into a long-running shitshow, but I'd take Pierrot if it was specifically their Pierrot Films sub-studio. Give this that Bleach TYBW quality and sheeeesh 😮‍💨
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

@Alexioos95

Studios are "racing" (because without projects they can't make money) but their form of racing is saying how cheap and fast they can make anime.
Manga recommendation:
- Spy x Family (Ch.107/? - biweekly) | Sakamoto Days (Ch.191/? - weekly)
- MARRIAGETOXIN (Ch.108/? - weekly) | Machi and Oboro (Ch.16/? - biweekly)
- Make the Exorcist Fall in Love (Ch.78/? - biweekly)
- You and I Are Polar Opposites (Ch.65 - Finished)
Anime recommendation:
- Deca-Dence (Finished) | Wave, Listen to Me! (Finished)
- If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die (Finished)
- Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater (Finished)

It's the producers who goes toward studios, not the other way around.

For the studios listed there, it doesn't really make sense for them to race against each other to begin with; CloverWorks is owned by Aniplex, Pierrot is more on the producer side nowadays (with their Pierrot Films departement animating), TMS is more often working for TOHO, and MAPPA is open but with busy schedule. The studio will entirely depend on the producers; if it's Aniplex, chances are that it'll be Cloverworks or A1, ect, so the racing is to be done by the producers.

With the reputation of that "leaker", it's not really surprising, tho.

Pierrot would be good I think. They have now two studios, or like a sub studio now, Pierrot films, which is for high quality seasonal anime. So if they adapted it like bleach I think it would be great.

I’d be content with clover works, everyone says the elusive samurai adaptation was great.

I’d love to see mappa animate it, but they just have way too much right now.

And if tms got it I’d kill myself

I don't believe in leakers, but this is an interesting topic so I'm going to discuss anyways:

I pray for a ufotable adaptation but I don't see that happening due to Demon Slayer. They're just too good at animating sharp objects and visual effects, which I think fits Kagurabachi perfectly. An ufotable adaptation would almost certainly make Kagurabachi one of the biggest shonens out there, I think.

Second choice would be Trigger. I know it sounds strange, but hear me out. If Trigger does Kagurabachi in the style of Cyberpunk Edgerunners, there would be enough visual flair to create impact without overdoing it. Just, style... Mob enemies getting diced left and right, quick and snappy actions, colors, etc. all make Kagurabachi more Trigger-adaptable than most other modern shonens in my opinion.

Third choice would be MAPPA, but behind by a huge margin. MAPPA is great at fast-paced non-stop action, but I've personally never really felt any "impact" from their fight scenes. Kagurabachi has a lot of fights where the wow-factor is concentrated onto a few panels, which I don't think will translate into MAPPA's frenetic action direction.
