That was some hot garbage, huh? Only slightly better than the stupid heteromorph "totally not racism" plot. Not to mention, they reused a shit ton of scenes just to pad out the episode.

Again, one more episode that executed better than the manga. It was a bit boring reading the final arc of Toga Himiko, but the adaptation was awesome.

Damn man, that was deep. I'm so glad that they could talk about love. And is the boy Toga liked back in the day the father of izuku??? This episode was really good. I look forward to the next one!

How can he be Deku's father ? Toga and Deku are basically the same age lol
@Thehorrifickenzo Oh right I'm just stupid ig. I thought how could they look so alike and we don't know who his father is so my brain immediately shifted to that but you're right. Sorry and thanks

Looking at the other comments, I think I can say that you either really like this episode, or you dislike it a lot, with a few falling in-between. While it doesn't hold a candle to how amazing last week's episode was, I still enjoyed what was on offer today.

For one thing, I'm glad that Himiko has been stopped at long last, considering how out of control she has become at this point. Uraraka did put herself on the line multiple times and took some nasty hits from Himiko's knife, but her words were able to finally get through to Himiko and put a stop to her Sad Man's Death Parade once and for all. I did like seeing how Uraraka's powers went into overdrive, where everyone were floating in the air without Uraraka needing to touch them beforehand. It's a good showcase of how improved her skills have become.

Overall, I enjoyed this well directed episode. The whole resolution for Himiko won't be for everyone, but I think it did a solid enough job to wrap up this part of the battle. Now the wait begins to see how the other two battles will unfold next time.

She could have killed them all!!! Why was she just hugging them wtf, I had to skip through it it was so frustrating. That whole episode could have been avoided if she just snapped their necks or stabbed them..

This is my only criticism of this portion. The clones were super underutilized. They were kind of just bodies that didn’t really do anything

Intense episode. I’m going to be honest here, I wasn’t a fan of Toga Himiko’s character much but this really hit the spot. Ochaco’s power rise is quite something too. A lot to unwind this episode…

Can we talk about the massive plot hole of Toga Himiko's Twice copies?

Toga's quirk "Transform" is the ability to transform into people she loves and use their powers.
Twice's quirk "Twice" is the ability to create copies of himself and others.

Toga keeps saying that she can't create clones or turn into Dabi or AFO or Shigaraki cause she doesn't love them. However, that's not the limitation of Twice's quirk, it's the limitation of HER quirk. The clones of Twice should be capable of creating perfect replicas of AFO, Shigaraki and Dabi like he did back in Season 3 during the forest training arc when he created a clone of Dabi that could use his powers.

I know if this happened in the story it would make Toga and the villains invincible and guarantee their victory but the fact that it didn't happen is just a massive plot hole.

All of those Twices' should be able to create clones of Dabi. Just facts.

Also in this episode, apparently the Twice clones injested blood and made copies of the heroes but that's not necessary for Twice to create clones.
The author's just trying to retcon the massive plot hole by making it a requirement that Twice's quirk which Toga is using, now needs blood and love to transform into other people.
He's written himself into a corner.

@shs13 How can you watch that episode and tell yourself that this battle between Toga and Ochaco had no substance. You would genuinely have to go into it already wanting to hate it. I’m not gonna sit here and explain the importance of their arcs and how crucial it is to the story because people in this thread already have but I really implore you to read them.

MHA seems pretty obsessed with spending time making the villains relatable, but I don't get it with Toga. Her flashbacks don't make her relatable, they make it pretty clear she was a psycho obsessed with drinking blood from day one. You can blame it on her quirk or not, but unlike some of the other villains, she was not created by an uncaring society, she started out fucked up and couldn't be healed despite her parents spending years trying. Unlike Dabi, she wasn't neglected or abused, her parents tried to help her, they simply couldn't overcome her nature. I'm not saying it's her fault either, she was born that way, but the situation is what it is. The only one really to blame is the author, I guess.

Ironically, Toga is right when she says "win or lose, live or die, this is a battle for survival!" Stop trying to understand everyone and kill her already. Or at least disable her. Whatever, stop talking to her. You're literally putting the planet in jeopardy to try and empathize with an unsavable nutcase. Even if she could be captured, she's just going to end up in a psyche ward, meanwhile the heroes risk destruction. Hawks had it right the first time when he killed Twice. Some people are too dangerous and/or too broken to risk trying to save.

Also, Toga's "why won't you die" comment is ironic, given that she has failed entirely to actually use Twice to do any damage. All she's done is replicate endlessly. We constantly see the heroes being swarmed, but never once do the Twices actually attack anything (it's not because she isn't a killer, we know she is a serial killer already). The show tries to make us think Toga is this massive threat, but remains limited by the heroes' plot armor so she can't actually do anything. MHA essentially made a villain so powerful they couldn't use her without breaking the show.

Not a bad episode but I also did not really feel it, for how intense it should have been. The payoff just felt routine, it had to happen, there was no magic to it.

I'm still a few eps behind but it looks like the anime finally got to the Ochako/Toga stuff. Yea, I just couldn't get myself to really care for all their corny "love this love that" stuff, especially in the middle of the final battle to decide the fate of the world. The subplot between these two and all the "lovey dovey feelings" stuff that came along with it never hooked me tbh. At least the anime has the luxury of being able to group multiple chapters together to take care of this part quickly, compared to how much of a slog it was reading this one chapter at a time, week by week by week.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

I was hurt to see my waifu being so sad... I wish her to smile again and that her life can turn to better, but.. i will just say, managa readers spoilered everything.... and ruined it for me. Still, I was happy that this episode was not the episode that I was afraid of.. The next one will be the episode which I fear... Thus, the episode was great and made me feel more what she had been through while others might have had it better.

Another beautiful episode showcasing just how wrong the MHA haters are about this series. Ayane Sakura (Uraraka VA) has been my favorite VA for a while now, and her performance here only proves how amazing she is. That said, all the VAs are doing a spectacular job this season, so hats off to them.

I’m incredibly sad to see MHA concluding, because it’s genuinely become one of my favorite anime since I watched season 6. I hope Horikoshi-sama goes on to create something just as incredible.

To be honest, I never liked Toga that much as a character, but this episode did a relatively good job at getting me to care for her and empathise with her struggles.

A good end to an otherwise middling character arc.

I was expecting that last scene to be very melodramatic in the anime, so I'm suprised and thankful that they adapted it with a more subdued direction and tone. Thank god for the new director.

Episode felt like the embodiment of the "Enemies Turned Lovers" tag. Maybe Uraraka x Toga was the ultimate MHA ship all along...

Nicely directed episode tho. Will ignore the fact of Toga not killing the Heroes who were swallowed by the sea of Twice's when she had the chance.

@J_Daubs I have never connected with their characters. Ochaco maybe once or twice. I haven't read the manga so I don't know whether the anime creators have messed up or the writer himself wrote the story this way. But the anime now has had a lot of episodes. Both these characters have had a lot of screen time and have had a lot of importance put on them as major characters. If this is their resolution then I'm not satisfied. I don't think their full potential as characters have been drawn out based on what their past is and who they are as people. I wrote what I wrote because I think the writer or the anime creators could've brought out more from these characters especially after putting so much importance on them over the years. Rather what has happened is, they have become the source of fantasy for people out there who want a cute girlfriend or something. Which is another reason I'm frustrated with how they have turned out. This show has done so very well over the years of elevating so many characters that I connect with almost all of them but these two and Shoji this season have been disappointing for me. They really should've done much better considering what they had.

God damn, she's so annoying. This attempt to make her look sympathetic almost put me to sleep. Why should anyone accept her if her happiness involves hurting and killing people? How dare she demand society be okay with that, and if they're not, that's oppressive (like many snowflakes irl, btw)?
I dare say that if her parents hadn't made her suppress her urges, she would've killed people much sooner, so there was simply no way to help her, given how her quirk effects her.
Other than Toga, the problem with the League, in general, is that they're hypocritical and entitled asf, so despite some still being interesting characters, the only I could remotely sympathize with was Twice.

I can sympathize with Toga Himiko a little bit now but I can never forgive her for killing so many innocent people for what's arguably just for her fetish. Bitch needed a boyfriend who was willing to let her suck his blood instead of his dick lol.

Who's looking forward to the finale next week? The fight between a rejuvenating All For One vs All Might who has no Quirk - One For All.
