Manga readers, is this season going to be better than the first part of TYBW?

I don’t know about the first part but hopefully it’s going to be better than the second.
Cour 2 they had only 6 months to produce it, this one was more than a year, and since it has this “Pierrot Films” label I’m confident it will be on the same level or maybe better than cour 1, priority episodes are probably Bazz-B vs Jugram, Mayuri & Nemu vs Pernida and Shunsui & Nanao vs Lille.

Animation quality yes I think so given they’re putting more time and resources into this cour than the others. Story wise it depends on the how much extra content they’re putting in to fix some of the arcs issues. So it’s a really a toss up but I’m leaning towards yes cause I would very much like it to be

I liked this part more when I read the manga, and seeing how involved the staff is with the TYBW anime, I'm pretty sure part 3 is gonna be better than part 1. Believe me, all the fights this point on far surpass all the battles so far. It also depends on how much more original content they are gonna show with help from Kubo

Nope. This arc gets worse the longer it goes on. Part 1 covers all the good material and its downhill from there.

Now I realized OP was talking about being better in terms of writing and not animation.

Well, Bazz and Jugo flashback, Aizen returning, Grimmjow returning, Mayuri being MVP, Shunsui flashback with Nanao, Yoruichi’s new form, Urahara’s bankai… sure, all downhill from here.

MAL is being paid by ____ to inflate the ratings of Bleach and various other series that have popped off recently. That is not to say they are not fantastic series - this is fantastic, but I think it's finally time to expose MAL for lying. If you'd like to see my proof you may DM me though I may be banned shortly after posting this.

I have conversations, photos and screenshots of this site using bots to intentionally inflate or deflate ratings based off money received from publishers.

I hope so. And by the way, episode 3 releases exactly 20 years after episode 3 of 2004.

The content in Cour 2 is widely regarded as the weakest part of the TYBW arc and even that still has series high points such as Yhwach vs Ichibei and Rukia vs As Nodt; and we've already finished that part with a solid, elevated adaptation of the manga. The latter half of TYBW is just as conceptually great if not moreso than the first half but lacks the same polished execution the earlier parts of the arc could receive for Kubo's great ideas to be fully realized, such as the ending of the series itself (and even then, arguably most of the arc's highest points still originate from the end-half such as Bazz-B/Haschwalth's whole dynamic, all of the Schutzstaffel fights and the character pieces they accompany (especially Mayuri/Nemu), etc)).

We know that Kubo is playing an active role in the production of this anime now that he's able to actualize his full vision for the final arc, so these last two cours have the potential to be greater than the first. I think the Sternritter blitzkrieg of the Seireitei and the Everything But the Rain mini arc are still the pinnacle of this series, but that could change depending on the new content here.

@neffst3r It starts to go downhill after Lille's fight, which comes around the same time Kubo-sensei gets really sick. He even mentions that on the same volume, I think Askin's fight is an exception though, but the fever dream that Lille's fight was and everything after Askin has A LOT of room for improvement.

@ABigChungus It has been 5 hours and still not banned, how long is "shortly"?
