| Absolutely did not expect such a good episode from this show and I genuinely thought Broughston would give up after having to use all fingers and get pushed from his location so that we would have Kelvin vs Rick in the finals. Instead we got an absolutely epic fight with beautiful animations, radiating with emotion, way above my expectations. Love to see moments like these. Well fought Kelvin. |

| Loved those splash screens. Just really tasteful, leaves a good amount to the imagination, but is still hot. Good content. Honestly, I thought the episode was all over the place at first. I know in the manga we didn't have the match have to continue later, and we got Kelvin's story in a different way. I thought the whole running into Rick thing was just done kinda poorly, to be honest. I mean they did a liiiittle more show not tell, but at the sacrifice of actually stopping everything. It was just an odd choice. Even worse, it felt like they were just going to rush through this, and while on one hand I'm glad they didn't spend an excessive amount of time on this, but I feel like they kinda tossed Kelvin aside faster than I would have preferred considering... he's part of the reason why the crew is here in the first place! They need to beat him to get the jewel on his champion belt! We actually spent more time on the lizards!! But I get it. We only have two more episodes and an even bigger showdown to come. Was it an enjoyable episode after they got through the clumsy changes? Yeah sure I guess, but it did feel odd. |

@Icy3001 I think it's because this anime is a SOLID 8/10, which means the haters who always give low scores to shounen anime get overrepresented, as very few people will score above 8.
| @Gabu-sama Yeah that's how it seems to me as well. I think a solid 7 for the entire show is a fair grade, maybe 8 depending on how it proceeds. But giving/having it a 9 or a 10, unless you legitimately like it, seems insincere/unlikely. |

| he was throwing his matches because he cares so much for the owner who took him in. i get why the crowd was disappointed; they felt cheated, but to him, his actions were justified, and it kinda sorta was. now he can start with a clear slate and build his rep up once again. |

| This episode is simply chef's kiss! Ang intense! Though I know Broughston heavily outpowers Kelvin, still I rooted for Kelvin for his fighting spirit. It was a great fight scene, and the ending song is perfect and made the end scene really touching! 🤩 |
