"Oshi no Ko" 2nd Season Episode 8 Discussion

What episode is that?

Dunno. About what was it? The last I saw we got Aqua VS Kana and the red hair guy I forgot his name

This week episode on Abema.



I watch every week on Abema so I'm up to date with Abema but I don't know if Abema is up to date with TV broadcast for Oshi no ko (It's not for Gimai seikatsu so it might have one week delay for Oshi no ko too)

Anyway about last episode I watched it was heavily about Kana and Aqua and I don't care about any of them so I couldn't care less about that episode.

+ It kinda reused some animations concept it used for Melt's story. I think recycling is good to fight polution but I'm not a fan of recycling in animes.

Glad to see the show can still be so good. This season has been so frustrating because it has absolutely 0 momentum but it seems like that's building up again finally after a half dozen episodes of table setting. Although its not even that clear what is being set up; Ruby basically doesn't exist anymore, for instance.

disappointed that Ruby and Mem-Cho aren't getting much screen time as Aqua, Akane and Kana. However, it makes me feel better to know that Ruby is appearing more than Mem-Cho, Ruby is my favorite character from this series after all. The way they're all making the animation and the action is really well detailed. Although, I do wanna see B-Komachi get screen time and see idols perform. Maybe a surprise return from Ai Hoshino would make the series 10 times more superior. However, I would rate this series a 10 if I were to rate from 1 - 10 with 10 being the best and 1 being the worst.

Hmm, it's not that he doesn't enjoy acting, we can see him at times fascinated with the entertainment industry and its sundry mediums, but everytime he does, his guilt acts up, baying at him for daring to enjoy life when he failed to save Ai and not avenging her yet. Director told him to double down on said guilt, using it to color his otherwise unremarkable acting. Just my take tho.
Maybe he doesn't view his current life worth living, except as an instrument of vengeance. When not in edgelord mode, he cares for his sister and few friends, and actively seek to better their lives. He sees the good in everyone but himself, and his father I guess.

Nah I don't blame Himekawa. Contacts are kinda weird, and I ain't want them at first. But once you get some, there's no going back, that's all I'll say lol. But yeah yeah yeah, everyone's had their time to shine, background characters included for some reason (not complaining), but now it's time for the main character himself, Aqua, to get his time in the spotlight. And some Arima... again ig too lol.

Damn though, Arima's mom is awful. She fr used Arima to chase her own old dreams and got mad when Arima's acting career struggled. Anywho, one of my main issues with this arc showed up in this episode, with me kinda finding it kinda cringy how they add shounen-style energy to the acting. Though, Doga Koba made it hella fun to watch, so whatever lol. And damn, I ain't expect for them to use that much blood wtf.

People will call it edgy, but it's anything but. It might be edgy, but it's more realistic more than anything. That entire scene though, Doga cooked holy fuck.

Play would end next episode, going off the pace they've been going.

I apologize for quoting since I don't rightly know how to @. I can't comment on him edgelordmaxxing since I dunno the future yet, but about his inability to save Ai, it's less about what he could realistically do to stymie her bleeding and more about his irrational guilt at not saving her. My guess is that he feels that he's a piece of shit who couldn't even muster his past doctor experience to keep her alive, regardless if such a thing was medically plausible.

So yeah, it is 'floorshit', as you say, but you and I are not the ones in his head. He refuses to logically recognize that he wasn't in the wrong, and since his past life was worthless in saving her, he dedicates this one to atone for such a sin.
