Yes he did consider him a friend but he felt abandoned by him when he left and jealous of him because the band of the hawk looked to Guts and Casca loved him. It’s more complex than that but this a simple answer to the question.

as much as one can view one as a friend, yes. Remember that a friendship between even just 2 people can have a level of inequality in the relationship. one values it more than the other based on how many other frienships they have had before, or depending on the time in someone's life they may value it more or less. I assume in their relationship they defined friendship differently. Griffith viewed Guts as an extension of himself, someone who could challenge Griffith to try more and help him achieve his goal even faster than he first assumed. Guts was Griffith's only friend.

Guts on the other hand is the bigger question. I think Guts viewed everyone in The Hawk equally. sure. Griffith was a little more important as their leader, but Guts would save anyone in the Hawk if they were trapped in an underground dungeon for years. Guts was still trying to "find himself" and what he wanted to do with his life when he left the Hawk. Of course he didn't explain ANY of this to anyone so everyone interpreted it in their own way, and considering how coldly Guts left Griffith after that duel, it even appeared to Griffith that their relationship was purely contractual rather than at the emotional depth Griffith thought. I'm sure Guts figured he shouldn't drag Griffith down with regret or explanations since he won the duel and it was that simple. They'd meet again someday and he, as the Wanderer he still viewed himself as, would come back among friends. The most important point is that Guts didn't value himself, which is why he left, but he also wasn't capable of thinking how leaving would affect those who cared about him more than he cared about himself. Yes, that’s one of the major reasons that Griffith crashed out and turned against guts, because it he felt betrayed by him.

Yes, because Griffith said that Guts is even his best friend. Also, he said that friends should be equal, with no differences between them. Unfortunately, Griffith transformed into Femto and it was completely different. But back when he was still a human, he cherished Guts as his best friend and wanted to be part of “Band of Falcon” forever.

simple answer: yes
But Guts thought that Griffith didn't because he didn't have a "dream" of his own. He thought he could only stand as an equal to Griffith if he left the Hawks. The tragedy is that he didn't really need to do that because Griffith already saw Guts as his only true friend, even without a dream of his own. But Griffith, with all his pride, never really told Guts how he felt.

that guy don't even know what friendship really is. He only seaks for power, and guts truly helped him in that, he was a frucral point to the band and to the conquer of their good name. When he left, Griffith saw his life and hê status going away, because they could start losing battles, só, he could start losing power, that's why he acted impolsive, he needs to have all the power of the world in his very own hand.

I think Griffith was a little obsessed with Guts maybe in Love even but I don't think he thought of him as a friend. I don't think Griffith ever thought of anyone as friends not Guts or Casca or anyone they were all being used for his own gains. Guts I believe he felt something for but that isn't the same thing as considering someone your friend which I view as family or your equal. Griffith did not turn evil he always was the Behilit just brought it out of him.
