The game is on sale right now. I prefer anime over visual novels but I'm not against reading it either but my time is limited does anyone know if watching the anime will be faster than playing it?

Any reading source will always have more depth in characters, if you check VNDB you’ll see that it has 7.89 rating, usually it means you will not miss much if you watch the anime, but if you prefer a longer experience read it.

And no, regarding the first comment visual novels are not ‘games’ that’s why it literally has ‘novel’ on its title.

I completed the visual novel yesterday because it's been on my laptop for months now and I never gotten the chance to play and it's a 10/10 for me. I'll still watch the anime because I only got the bad ending in the visual novel. what a pain.

Go for the visual novel if you want. I started it yesterday and tbh, it's really quite good. I'm lovin' it. The anime, though just 1 ep, has been a good adaptation so far with very minute changes but no overall change to the core story. So you're good either way.

Hey, does the anime and the visual novel have the same story? I have never played a visual novel before so I’m a bit confused. Does it have multiple endings in the game? Pls don’t spoil tho maybe I play the game too :3

the visual novel has multiple endings and after watching the first episode, there were some slight differences in the visual novel as to what the episode adapted.

I need someone who played the VN to tell me something. It's a spoiler, but it's important to me. I need to know if this ends in tragedy, because a lot of VN stories like this do, and I can't take it right now. Especially with how adorable Atri is. So please... spoiler me. A simple yes or no will suffice.

@DmonHiro I already finish the vn and it's 10/10 for me. Atri is even more adorable there and don't worry. It will not end in tragedy. There will be a lot of sad moments near the end, but it ends with a happy note, imo.

@DmonHiro Yes and no, depends of your point of view I guess; it's a nakige, not an utsuge.
The true end is quite predictable as a game with a robot heroine trope.

Anyway, the drama part feels neglected in the anime so everyone should read the visual novel first.
Do it for motoyon, yusano, szak and sca-ji.

The VN is around 13 hours long, so watching the anime will be faster (around 5.2 hours in total for 13 episodes if I'm not wrong.).
That said, I still recommend you to read the VN; I'm currently watching the anime right now and there are some changes compared to the VN. Many of those changes were minor and some actually added more but SPOILER FOR EP 3-4 and comparison with the VN:
Which is understandable since they have to fit 13 hours of VN content into 13 episodes. Even so, I think the anime is still an okay adaptation.

tl;dr anime adaptation is faster to watch but has some changes in order to fit the 13-hours of VN content into 13 episodes which may impact the storytelling and pacing. Recommended to watch both the anime and read the VN.
