| i think kyoko have the opposite effect than she wanted. instead making him miserable, she makes him realize the player before him is human too. rei shouting was exciting emotional moment. this anime knows how to do it. in fact, i would figure out kyoko is investigating every rei's match would make rei oppose her, but it seems he can't just do it. |
| Gaslighting and guilt tripping whore. I know the beast lives in me, it's a rampaging beast that bits of everything in sight to survive. When battle begins, no matter What its hand reaches out for the path of survival even if it means misery for others the best scene so far imo |

| Great episode, the best so far. Yasui's bitchass attitude smfh...taking out his losses out on other people. I can understand it but cmon. Man up and accept it instead of drinking booze to death. Was it necessary to violently grab the bag from Rei like that? Rei's outburst was real fr, highlight of the episode for sure. Why does Kyouko know so much about these shogi players anyway? Is she just researching them simply to torment Rei, getting back at him or whatever? that's some DIO level hating. |

| I feel so bad for Rei. He knows he cant just lose even if it means the other person will feel and act terrible. Kyouko really knows how to make him feel bad. |
What a banger of an episode, also the hate for his sister keeps growing. What an awful person she is, all she does is just making him feel bad because she failed as a person herself |

| I eventually knew Rei was going to have a mental breakdown, didn't know when, but eventually, it happened. All the subtlety just accumulated to this very moment. Jeez knowing that you have such an influence over people's lives but you cannot avoid it. World is cruel and sometimes one just needs to survive. Also as for Rei's foster sister, she reminds me of people I hate. I have been manipulated that same way by people that called themselves "friends" and "family", people with such a condescending nature but that manage to trap you in those, sticky gross wording they shoot with such passive agressiveness... It's one of the few times this kind of people are shown in an anime, and in such a spectacular way. |
