Man, I'm not even into mecha and robots. I'm only watching it because I'm a fan of the seiyuu Ryouta Suzuki. But the way this anime got me invested, good gosh!

I'm already captivated on the first episode because I don't know any robots with such a personality lol

As far as trope subversion and intentional (and utterly hilarious) humor, this show is on the level of 100 Girlfriends and Konosuba. Whatever you are expecting, even if you've been spoiled, forget it. BBBB will hit you so hard with the unexpected your head will spin.

Absolutely. This show is like no other and you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not at least see if it's for you. I hate super robot and this is a super robot show and I loved every minute of it.

It's only 12 episodes and tells a complete story.Thats not something that I can say about most anime nowadays.

Mecha, comedy (specially gay/yaoi jokes) and sudden shifts to serious tone and vice-versa.

Story / plot meh (as expected from most mecha animes, though).

Ao Isami, one of the main characters, was very boring/annoying/useless - gave me Shinji vibes from Evangelion xD - I don´t know if that was on purpose or not.

Art and animation good.

I saw the new vid from Mother's Basement on it, looks actually fun.
The CIA actually waterboards a mech xD
That alone is a selling point!
The studio has some fun with this original work.
